  1. It ISN'T exp based, and it ISN'T time based. It is USAGE based. Brawling gloves degrade based on the number of times they have been used in a PvP world to gain experience in that stat. They don't work with Genies or anything like that. The reason we know its not exp based, my friend used 3 ranging brawlers. 2 lasted 120k exp, the other lasted 140k experience (better gear, used an SC coif instead of SC body/legs, better range bonus). Oh, and chinning gave like 40k exp cause the targets hit is high... meaning they don't last for crap. Prayer brawlers always lasted 1275 bones, no matter how many we accidently buried or altared without a lighter correctly lit or whatever. I used the thieving brawlers at rogues and got 62k experience, while my friend at pyramid plunder got easily at least 200k exp with his pair. I got 45 chinchompas with the old crap hunter brawling gloves and my friend got 45 black salamanders with them too... So yeah, its usage based I'm sure. So just wear them for the last obstacle, and they last a TON more. If you want proof of my knowledge of brawling gloves... heres an old pic of my brawling gloves cause I can't get the updated picture with 128 brawling gloves. [hide=Brawling Glove pic][/hide] I've now got 106 banked and I've used 22 gloves... so yeah.
  2. Here's a vid of my friend on his summoning tank in PvP in a 3 on 1 fight, skulled in 2.5m gear, using steel minotaur. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWYtNEWqa5k&fmt=18 I dunno if that works, but I think it should. He's 40 combat, 70 defence, 63 summoning, 59 hp. It's absolutely hilarious how much he owns. And I'm sorry for the music, but he wanted a band that didn't have copyright stuff all over it and he likes a lot of the heavier stuff :P That's nothing compared to some of the music he has. So you may wanna look into Summoning Tanks. Iron T1tan is also a friend, and he has more summoning than defence right now. He has a lot more people to help him get charms though.
  3. You might want to crop the pics a little somehow -- its gonna stretch the page for 95% of the tip it users. Remove a few of the excess squares on the right and left, and that will help a lot. That is a really really well thought out house though, I love it.
  4. 432 oak planks on carved oak tables, so 430/440 on oak doors. So try 51k per hammer... better to overestimate the amount of hammers you need cause you can always use them on another skill or something :P
  5. If you have extra time at the end, just exit on the door that has the white light on it. This pretty much sums up the basics. I will be using this method for when I train thieving. There were a few other things I wanted to mention but I couldn't think of them. >.<
  6. This is how the drop potential works. Hotzone will raise your potential up every 30 minutes. There are 3 types of potential: High, Mid, and Low. High potential allows you to get ANY drop from the high potential table, from rune legs to corrupt dragon battleaxe. Same with middle, and low. This potential lowers when you get a drop by a fixed hidden amount, no matter what the drop is. Rune platelegs and corrupt dragon battleaxe will lower it the same. Now, how long the potential lasts in f2p, idk. 30 minutes lasts for 3 kills in p2p pvp, I know that, and 1 hour I think about 5 kills in p2p. After that it's usually pointless -- the game will detect you're getting too many kills too fast and lower your loot faster. Now, the only reason that killing another person for a high drop could help you is because some of your potential is put toward possibly getting an item they have in their inventory. You can only get 1 of that item, though (like, you can only get 1 rune platelegs if you kill someone for 28 rune platelegs), though if that item is in the drop table you COULD get 2 (random generated drop + dropped by them). Also, when you die, it improves your drop potential a little bit based on what you died for. But not by much. It appears that a higher combat greatly improves your drops as well... my friend who's got a 100 and a 126+9 got 2 dfs on the 126+9 in a week, plus he made a lot more money on other drops. Whereas he didn't get nearly as much on his 100. That's pretty much how it works, in simple terms. It's pretty confusing, and I only have experience from p2p. But trust me -- I've gotten 124 brawling gloves. I have done TONS of kills and I have TONS of experience with potential.
  7. Sniping is a f2p warring term usually where you send off someone in your clan to attack the other teams mages/binders. It can include rangers too, but usually just talks about mages. Mages have very little defence, so you will get a few hits on them and lower the amount of food they have, plus they have to put their rune on so they can't mage or bind. Rangers have more defence, so they aren't sniped so much, but they are sniped. The purpose is to lower their food more quickly, so if they're low food, the clan can take them out more quickly -- lowering their numbers of people quickly. It also helps whoever is tanking by allowing them to hug more easily.
  8. oo forgot to post here when the update came. Crystal bows had to be lowered -- people were dying for high priced stuff with them. They protected over godswords... the only things that protected over bows were magic stones, dragonfire shields, and probably the elysian/arcane/spectral/divine spirit shields. Everything else, you'd keep a full crystal bow over. Almost the same thing pretty much for crystal shields. Some people even lured with them I think. Crystal seeds might start crashing -- they'd been going straight up since December 10th or so. Hunter Brawling gloves improved -- They REALLY needed that, thank god. 45 Black Salamanders did NOT cut it. After I get the requirement for black salamanders I'll have to go check it out... and probably die about 50 times -.-. I've got like 10 hunting brawlers, so thank god. Just gonna be annoying dealing with the pkers at hills. I'll have to post about the rest later. Wonder what the req for that improved excalibur is to wield...
  9. I brought monk robe bottom and that helped me stay higher energy a lot. However, a better alternative is a mitre -- you'll have more melee def (so you can no pray the first 3 lobs... then when they stack up outrun them) and mage def for the wallasalkis. Range def will be the same. And I still had proselyte body. Gl with the results andy :P I got 99 mage mostly there too ^^
  10. Your crimson numbers / lob are also high. Doing over 15k bursts, my average was like 270 crimsons per 1k bursts. I dunno how big your samples were but it seems a bit strange. I was wearing around 105 mage bonus btw. I was in +123 mage bonus. Then again, I think a major difference was I tended to melee/rush/blitz the last lobster (they're weak to crush so ancient staff works well) quite often... but I don't think that should improve it by 40 crimson by itself.
  11. Good lord... not every prise raise is caused by manipulators. Rune instantly went up as soon as pvp worlds came out. It made smithing profitable for the first time in forever. So of course, people with the smithing level bought the rune ores and used them to make items with which they profited. I believe it is still possible to profit off of it still. But yeah, basically just pvp worlds is the reason rune is high.
  12. walka, that can't possibly be right. Vesta and Statius protect over veracs. Even when its degraded... unless all that pvp armour is corrupt. Yeah, claws alch 82k, meaning a lot of things protect over it. They protect over whips (which are like... 76k or something) but not over much else.
  13. Make hunter brawling gloves last more than 45 catches (really, this is such fail...) Improve Javelins so they aren't complete junk and are actually useful. Can't think of anything else that hasn't been posted yet.
  14. I swear magic bonus does affect it.. I get usually like 310 crimsons per 1k bursts and like 380+ crimsons per 1k barrage (from what I remember) and thats in full ahrims, fury, ancient staff, mages book, god cape, inf boots, seers ring... and if i remember right, i was getting like 210k mage exp per 1k bursts... don't remember the barrage. There is no way you're getting 494 crimsons per 1k barrage... thats just insanely high. You gotta look into that a little >.>
  15. Yeah, it pretty much will always stay with you. Entering a safe zone doesn't do much to lower your potential it seems.
  16. Dragon Spear, up to p+, can be bought 10 per 4 hours at min usually. Battle Robe tops and bottoms are alchable with profit at min... Yeah, you're probably gonna have to do mostly your own research.
  17. 99 Real Life. Going outside and actually feeling wind. Yeah, go with agility.
  18. 120k exp? I mean sure hes only 77 range, but that just seems a bit too low...
  19. I'd like to see you look into the tank outfit again. I dunno about using Verac's Skirt with regular gear instead of something like Verac's Helm and Spirit Shield... or some other shield like Dragon Sq. I dunno, I'm just pretty sure that your tank setup could be changed to have pretty much the same defence with better range bonus.. EDIT: LOL AT POST BELOW ME XD
  20. Yeah 240 hours isn't very long at all -- I mean, my calculations say, including the process of getting the money for it, that getting 138 combat (99 prayer, 96 summon) will take me about 500 hours at 600k cash an hour... D: (though the prayer is gonna be shortened quite a bit by the prayer brawlers... thank god) 200 mil in a stat is pretty just showing dedication to a skill... I dunno. I know Tommybg2003 pretty much camped abyssal demons all the way to 200m attack, getting him like 450 whip drops. Its something over 400, I know that. He's got like 4 phats and full 3a melee now I think.
  21. Player mods are stupid. I havent met any who are in-game smart and I have met alot, and know alot. If you mean J Mods idk. And the PvP trick is a total waste of time, :| My 3 DFH and 1 DFS beg to differ. Anyways theres no official clan chat for pvp trick that I know of. And people that do flowers or air strikes are stupid... I'd rather just skill for a while in hotzone.
  22. IF you're training defence or attack, your best option is Verac's Flail. Or if you're mentally insane, Statius Warhammer
  23. Funny thing is, like all the drops from muggiwhplar except 1 I think are mid-potential. Either that or a bunch are high potential going into mid. When you're high potential, you can get the following for food: Tuna Potatoes, Manta Rays, Sea Turtles, Sharks, Monkfish, Cheese Potatoes, Egg Potatoes, Summer Pies, Wild Pies... And theres more, but I never really recorded food drops that much. The mid-potential food table looks a lot like the same with a few of the higher hp healers (22 hp healers, mainly) being removed. Pjers are the most annoying thing in w26 varrock ever though. Sometimes, though, it seems that even if you didn't do the most damage, you get the kill even if the other person is nearby. I saw some guy killing someone who was afk, got him down to 7 hp and he got pjed off... so I smacked the guy that was afk a few times with vls and koed him with a spec... it was mine. Everyone around me was like .... what the HELL? including me. Pjers have been around since Classic. Trust me, they were TONS worse in classic. You kill the other guy in 3 hits, they have hit 2 times on you. When you got pjed in classic, you were instantly attacked after the fight was over, meaning you had 5 hits on you before you could do anything -- you couldn't eat until running from combat. Now you have preparation and you can eat while they pj and all. Pjing is something I usually only do if someone is an [wagon] to me or my friends... or I'm really really bored. I must say, miasmic barrage pjing is absolutely hilarious. but its even better when you hit pjers with it -- saw some dclawer rush a guy in rune and stuff after I miasmic barraged him, everyone was loling at him when his claws specced at the speed of ags would have, allowing the guy to easily avoid death. It was hilarious on some dharoker I did who could then only hit once to every 4 whip hits. But its really rare to see me PJ without reason. PJers were here in old wildy, too... and was the primary reason I rarely pked w18, only going when none of the other lesser pk worlds were running well. If you want a place where pjers really ruined pvp, try BH. If I'm pjed from a fight, i get their name off the vid clip and note it so if I see them again, I'll rush or pj them.
  24. Profiting on mage is pretty much impossible at that low of a level, especially at 1 defence. I can't think of anything, sorry.
  25. There is a safespot for them in Ancient Caverns, though I have never used it and I can't describe it really. They do have high range def, and I don't think brutal arrows count as crush.
