I bought one because I thought they look cool, and I also think that it is awesome...sure it has a slow rate of fire, but popping off double hits is insane, plus the special..guaranteeing to hit...pretty awesome

When I first read about the update, it seemed like everyone was getting dark bows like crazy. Could this have been a plot by a bunch of people to get bows to drop real fast? Did Jagex update the drop rate? I am in no way trying to mess with prices, but all my clanmates on IRC who are 90 slayer are extremely mad right now because they have spent all day at dark beast and yet to get a dark bow. Coincidence? You decide!

Runescape members is so cheap anyways...$5 a month...that is hugely inexpensive. F2p doesn't need an update in range. Although, I wish Jagex would update treasure trails so that f2p would be able to wield a lot of the new items. This would benefit p2p so much because it would give a market for the lame p2p rewards.

If you stand in the lost city, the random frogs that pop up often quote movies. "Were off to see the wizard"... "This Kiss, This Kiss..." Some other's I can't remember.

I had a weird one the other night. I'm at the silage pit, and I'm walking home(why would I walk :S)..and out of no-where someone starts attacking me...yep, somehow rs got into my mind, and I woke up thinking I was pked outside of wild. I went back to sleep and after I got up again an hour later I still had the thought in my mind that someone pked me for a lot of expensive gear outside of wild. Very weird.

The name might come from it, but it was no way similar. Mithril in that movie is dwarven(or elven) armor that is indestructible. Everyone knows that Mithril in runescape is all but indestructible. Mithril was added to the game in early 2001 and was the best armour at the time. It was not intended to be low level armour like it is now. Andrew could not have envisaged that the game would grow in the way that it has or that they would have to add so many types of improved armour to keep players happy. I am aware of this, in fact it crossed my mind to make it an although. I still don't believe Jagex ever planned Mithril from Lord of the Rings to be like the Mithril on Runescape. Mithril is supposed to be silver...not blue.

That was a nice read and I like most of it. Your comment at the end, why not quit now and save 1000 hours of your life. Here is my opinion: I know someday I will quit runescape, it's inevitable, and like you most of my real life friends have quit as well as a lot of the good friends I met while playing runescape. You don't have to give away all your stuff to quit, but instead this is what I plan to do when the time comes. Buy rares...yep, really that's all you have to do...buy a bunch of rares, and then just quit, cancel your membership and just sell everything so you only have cash, and then buy all the rares you can. That way, if you ever decide to come back, just to visit, or maybe you have a lot of free time coming up, you can come back and experience all the things you missed.

I prefer edgeville...I spend 10x as much time there then at seers.

I made my own nats,bowstrings, and yew longs (u), and put them all together, and alched. couldn't of made too many of your own nats. My guess was you also did clues?

Maybe if Jagex gave us more then 50 character's per line, we could actually type out a whole sentence. Jagex is the reason we have all these abbreviations. The only one's that annoy me are the ones that are just as long, hardly longer, and use for begging. (plx, plz, pl0x) I also don't like when people put letter's in wrong places and sound like a 10 year olds. Hey, do yu no were I cen git rune pl8?

They say the can detect the difference between people lending items, and people buying, but I want to know how they can be sure without watching someones account for a very long time. The only problem comes in with all these recent bans, is some people might have been legitimate. I really hope no one legitimate WAS banned.... I don't want Jagex trying to look good, but ending up screwing themselves -.- There is always the chance that the person could be innocent. That chance, however, is very slim. RWT's most likely lend large amounts of cash to many people. Legit player's lend mostly items or something else to people who have been on their friends list a long time. I have lent many items to friends(full veracs for kqing, full guthans for dking, dragon axes) and I have yet to get banned.

Comparable to P2p, you can't make money as fast with skills. However, you can still do things that make you money over time(such as camp on karamja) and make some cash. Merchanting on f2p isn't a bad source of income.

Player-Owned Toll-Booth's the next POH? I think it would be pretty impressive. I wouldn't mind having a booth that people had to pay a certain amount to enter and the GP used would enter my bank. Let's see... Fally park is where I would set up my Toll-Booth. To enter the park you must pay 1% of cash you have on you at the time. That would mean. 100gp=1gp 1000g=10gp 10,000gp=100gp 100,000gp=1000gp 1,000,000gp=10,000gp 10,000,000gp=100,000gp 100,000,000gp=1,000,000gp them numbers seem pretty extreme at the higher numbers, but it's only 1%...

People seem to forget a few things. 1. Darkbeast are not abyssal demons, they are much higher level and much more powerful. People will not be able to just camp at them all day. They are going to either have to use prayer potions, or hope that Guthans keeps them safe. I really doubt you could stay their just on guthans. 2. No one knows the rarity of this drop...It could take a couple hundred to a thousand dark beast to get. You say there will be 2500ish people who will be able to kill. Well Dark beast are spread out, and 2500/65 servers=38 people for server. Sure not all will be on at once, but there will be huge competition.
