hmm, I'd have to say your luck was just very good. 1 in 10 is deffinately not an average considering people go 20-50-80-100 trips without drops all the time... I have friends who have never had a drop from barrows and do it regularly.

Yep, Stryder got rid of all switching capabilities from SS...so now it's just a kick [wagon] client!! not to mention completely legal!

I had that exact idea! To make a robot out of the Lego Mindstorms. Too bad its illegal, so I never made one. It would be just as easy to download a macro(not an rs related one), and create your own program...and be just as illegal!

1 pc world doesn't work, because only 25 people can play in one pest control game, and no matter what, low levels will get mixed in with the high levels, making games less efficient.

I recently vistited a friend, and he lives in an appt. style dorm...2 of his roomates were cool and one of them sat in his room and played world of warcraft all day, and my friend said thats all he does. Serously, what kind of college life is that?

Actually, this may make things easier for stryder...I serously think SS will benifit from this update. Now strider just has to make a link to rs homepage on start-up of SS. He might as well as get rid of the world list on the side, b/c Jagex's is much farther advanced. Now, Stryder can just keep adding to his Irc client and his calculators and his other tools. So to all of you who think this is the end of SS, this is actually nothing but a new beginning(cheesy):D

I never used ss for the world switching capabilities. I use it for the Irc, so i can chat with clan members and check prices...Sorry, but ss is far from owned...and in fact, SS might as well as get rid of the world switcher part of it, because you can use Jagex's world switcher with ss(which btw is far more advance)

Um, that is Jagex's fault...maybe Jagex should introduce higher level updates?

This is why jagex has added trainers to the game...they give free runes and arrows every so many minutes...A person could train mage with these runes....and in the time it takes them to use them up...they can go back and get more.

That's the main problem.. They make 120+cmb a joke.. My freind pced 99 atk and stre, and doesn't understand prayer bonus armors, potions fighting etc etc.. The basics you learn training in RS. When a majority of the 120s in Rs play like a lvl 85-90, that shows there's a problem. I have a cousin who plays runescape...he hasn't ever PCed, but when he was level 50, it wasn't as fun playing with him due to the fact that a lot of the stuff I enjoyed doing, wasn't very efficient at his level...Now he is level 90+ and he can do things that are much more dangerous but still fun in the game...this is what i meant by that.

Which brings an excelent point. Is it an advanted to those who are able to play 24/7 compared to those who "have lives" and can only play an hour or two a day?

Runescape is a game, like most other MMORPG's, has changed over the years. A big addition to these changes is a mini-game known as Pest control, or Abbreviated PC. The main reason that PC is thought to have ruined the game is due to the fact that it has now become much easier to level pest control. Many beleive that this has ruined runescape, mostly the beleif of those who were higher level before the update. Now why does having more high level characters ruin pest control. If anything, it increases the ammount of high level characters making the wild more fun or making killing boss monsters more fun. I see no reason why having an update that makes the game easier is unfair. Sure, maybe a little bit to the people who leveled before the update. But the game changes, and now the high level people have more high levels to hang out with. Who cares if the new higher levels are not as educated within the game...that is a bigger advantage to the people who do know much about the game, because when a new update does come out, you will better know how to use it to best of your advantage. I want to know others thoughts.

I greatly enjoyed reading this topic. It may be something to do with the fact that my major is going to be business and that I love learning about management, but that's besides the point. I feel your correct, Andrew and Paul will eventually leave Jagex, for all we know, they already did. What I beleive will happen when Andrew leaves is he won't announce it, and someone will still post for him as "Andrew". Doing this will not cause a panic, but eventually, the news will get out. I also beleive that Andrew and Paul have the right mind-set for how runescape should be. All of Jagex's recent decisions have been more about the company, rather the gamer. Sure, they've made decisions in the past that help bennefit in money making, and maybe not so much gamers(miniclip), but not as major as recent decisions. I beleive that once Andrew and Paul leave, they will in-fact start a new project...maybe not a game, but some sort of project. But when the Gowers do leave, I beleive the game will eventually fall. The corporation's have Business Majors...they know how to run a business...and also this is fine for classical business's such as Stores and Bars, this is quite a different case. A year of updates will go by, with nothing appealing to the gamer. Customer support will be people who do not understand the game, and have very basic knowledge of the game. People will realize that the game was no longer fun, many will quit, and the business will bust. Now, this is not the hope for any business, and not all business's have to take this route, but this is the route that I beleive is in the future for Jagex.

I think jagex is trying to get rid of the play the update as fast as you can to try and get the new item to sell it for a load of cash and then later have the prices of that item fall dramastically method. Just think, all recent decent armour and weapons are untradable, the tradeable armour in the new treasure trails is so rare that they won't fall very fast...I dunno what jagex's ordeal is.

he may be making very little, but he also get's his housing and food paid for...and i doubt he pays for the internet...i'm sure the company does...and i'm sure the working conditions are very poor...but just think...sure the work may be boring and repetative, but it's no where near as bad for your body as working at a meat factory, lifting heavy boxes and carcusses...

a Url that you have to click is not a Signiture...People don't always look at sigs, but when they do, they don't wanna click a link...so in other words...thats a pretty lame signiture.. But, i also beleive that dynamic sigs are lame...I'd rather make my own signiture...I've actually had mine for over 2 years...I just think it kind of sticks with me...When people see the santa, they know who it is posting...you know? I have others, but don't change em just cuz i like the association between me and my current sig.

I've loved halo games since i first began playing them. When halo 2 was released, I really didn't like it as much, but now, I love it. I understand why they nerfed the pistol, and the game is still a very great game. I myself can't wait for Halo 3.
