Lol, no way electrical energy is coming from a body in the ground. I work in a cemetery burying people, so I know what is on top of them (grass, dirt, concrete, wood, cloth in that order). What he is talking about is just dust and water molecules reflecting the flash. EDIT: Pics finally uploaded

I have a few starting in the fall: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Family Guy Heroes The Office My Name is Earl American Dad South Park Battlestar Galactica The rest that are starting next year: Dirt 24 The Sarah Connor Chronicles Lost Jericho A lot of shows to keep track of, a few of those have shorter seasons than the others though. I'm really excited about BSG (last season), The Office, South Park, and Lost. Heroes would have made the "excited" list but I am still pissed off about the crappy season 1 finale.

LOL. I have pictures of that stuff too, I am trying to upload them now but imageshack is being stupid again (like it always is nowadays). It's just dust or moisture.
  4. In the Cincinnati Enquirer my favorite is Frazz :-w . I get the Cincy Enquirer also. I'm going to apply for a job there too, see if I can deliver papers around here (SE Indiana). I enjoy Frazz, and I like the penguin one on the back. Can't think of the name right now though.
  5. I hate hypocrites.
  6. You, like most people, are automatically assuming selfishness and greed are "bad". I used to have the energy to argue these things, but I just don't anymore.
  7. Yeah that is completely awesome.
  8. Comic Books - In the entire TIF history, this thread I just linked to was the first thread dedicated to comic books. It was posted just last week.
  9. I don't think in any of the posts made so far. They have all been copy/pasted. Bad thing is I bet he/she feels she is accomplishing something by posting these.
  10. I thought it was pretty fun.
  11. The space shuttle can go 18 times the speed of light.
  12. The Hours - I might have enjoyed it if the women in it were hot. A Scanner Darkly - Awesome movie, based on a Philip K. [bleep] novel. The animation definitely gives it something special, but I think even if it was live action it would have been good. EDIT The Island - Oh boy, Michael Bay definitely knows how to do mindless action. I'm not going to lie, I enjoyed it, and this is the third or fourth time seeing it.
  13. Latest "faster than the speed of light" claims wrong (again)
  14. Happens to almost everyone at some point or another. You don't have to work in the "system" if you don't want to, but the system is responsible for almost all luxuries you have. Pretty much you would have to become a bum, unless you had some land out in the country which isn't connected to power/water ect...
  15. Won't work since there are a lot of rocks. @the OP: Could you take a picture of what we are dealing with here? Most likely you will end up just having to keep on cutting them down all the time. Getting the roots out would be ideal, but if you haven't exaggerated any, then it just wouldn't be plausible with that bad of stuff. Keep on cutting them down and never let them get big, then in a few years the roots will be rather small also. A small plant won't sustain a large root, eventually it will start dying.

Yeah, I am completely lost here. What's going on?
  17. PS3 fail rate at .2% - Undoubtedly a little biased, but I thought I would throw it out there as fuel for the flames.
  18. Did you watch the David Lynch 1984 version, or the SciFi channel's 2000 version? A lot of people say the SciFi one is better, I haven't seen it yet though. The 1984 version (which I just watched) is only 2 hours long, so it is a normal length for a movie. I think you probably saw the SciFi channel one. Did the worms look like the tubes of a vacuum cleaner? If so, you probably saw the 1984 version.
  19. I could never get into most of the Tom Clancy books. I did read a series of shorter books that had something to do with a MMORPG type of game, this was a good 6 years ago. Seemed kind of crazy then, but from what I can remember now, it's not all that crazy.
  20. I read about 10 of those books. I found them to all be pretty similar, and had no urge to read anymore of them. Two fantasy authors I really like are Robert Jordan and Terry Brooks. SciFi I would probably have to go with Arthur Clarke. I'll also mention Ayn Rand here, since she is the author of my favourite book, Atlas Shrugged.
  21. Hot Fuzz - Absolutely hilarious movie. Second time through, and still epic. The Great Escape - Couldn't decide what to watch, and I saw this there, and I really felt like watching it. Great of course, it says it's based on a true story but I don't know about that. Slither - Comedic horror movie, and it is actually completely awesome. Probably only for a certain kind of audience though, I could see some people thinking it is just stupid. Dune - I don't know why people dislike this movie so much. I loved it.
  22. I actually prefer MP3 over vinyl, much more easily organized and doesn't take up any space. The problem is if I want to listen to the songs on my stereo I have to burn a CD with them on it first. My vinyl is just right there, and is pretty convenient.
  23. Kurt Vonnegut probably.
  24. Yeah, that's not going to happen.
  25. Make sure to write a review for Inland Empire Daan. I have to switch around the cords every time I do something, it is really annoying. The big problem I have now though is power outlets, my surge protector only has 6 openings on it and I have 7 devices needing power.
