  1. Duck Soup - I didn't actually find it all that funny. It had a few funny parts, but mostly I was kind of bored. As far as classic comedies go I guess Chaplin is more my style. The Last King of Scotland - I enjoyed it, and thought it was made very well. It's not something I will probably want to watch over and over though. "Veronica Mars" season 1 - If this didn't have Kristen Bell in it, it would still be awesome. However, since it does have her in it, it is completely and utterly awesome.
  2. Yep, I think I heard version 2 was set for December.
  3. Impeaching is the process of taking the president to court. Bill Clinton was impeached, but he was not found guilty and therefore stayed the president. If found guilty it is then the second stage called conviction, and that is when the president would be removed. Been a while since a government class but I am pretty sure that is how it went.
  4. Heh, one of these days it's going to get bad enough to start a revolution. Hopefully he doesn't go out of his mind if a "major catastrophe" happens right before the next president comes into office (January 2009) and decide that he needs to stay in power for a while longer, that would just be scary.
  5. Very easy at first, and I didn't see a point to it. But once it got to the movable blocks part, it became much harder. Pretty fun, but I did give up pretty quickly.
  6. Marty McFly, come baaaack! I don't have a cell phone either :P . I just communicate to everyone via e-mail.
  7. I wouldn't either, although I would call the police or something.
  8. No Doubt was my favourite in that case :) Yep, I like No Doubt a lot. Hell, I even like some of Gwen's solo stuff.
  9. Oh you are talking about the movies. There are four movies, and two TV series. One of the TV series is a cartoon, and the other TV series is a live-action one. I was just wondering if you saw either of the TV series, to see if they are good or not. I've seen all the movies (original movie is great, the first two sequels were good, but went downhill after that), but by the end I didn't feel like watching the TV series.
  10. I'm not quite sure I understand, you liked the 1st and 2nd series the most? There are only two series, the animated one and the live action one.
  11. Heh, I was going to also, but I thought it would be the 2000th post that did it. Haven't been paying attention to the count lately though. EDIT: I did watch a movie... Without Honor - On the IMDb page it only has 28 votes, so I guess it isn't that popular of a movie. I thought it was OK, although it seemed like it was made pretty cheaply and hastily. It was kind of short also.
  12. Yeah, I saw that earlier. They only had up through "C part 1" though.

That's a way to see it, but I think the first reason why one would consider it done to death is that all the expansions packs, sequels, etc, are never going to bring back the excitement of first playing the game, they're just additions. But the expansions packs imo add a lot of interesting things, especially the newer ones, even though they're made mainly for money since they're outrageously expensive considering it's only a few additions each pack. At the time they were probably expensive, but you can buy The Sims 8-in-1 Pack, which includes all the expansions, for about $30-$40.
  14. Which series, the animated one or the live action one? I haven't seen either yet, but I have them. The movies started off good, but just kept on getting worse, so I didn't feel like watching the TV series after that.
  15. I thought about that one too, but like you said I don't think it could be done well enough.
  16. The forums are pretty predictable after a while. That's actually why I did this, to see if I still knew them well. Heh, I even knew it was going to be three mad posts from new members followed by a post by an older member. Not everything is completely predictable thought, my prediction involved slightly newer (late 2006/early 2007) members, and penguin did kind of know it. Still I count him as not knowing it so my number guesses are correct :D . This is what happens when I get bored on a Sunday night.
  17. Hehe. Just like I thought, a lot of new posters would get there panties up in a bunch and one of the old timers would have to come in here and explain it. Although it was with more sarcasm, and they didn't get it the first time, so you never know... EDIT: splatmaster is figuring it out... just give him a few more minutes to think it through.

    I don't know the science behind it, I just know fruit=good [cabbage]s.
  19. That's a stupid reason not to debate, and you are stupid for thinking it.
  20. Serenity 2 would be freaking great, they really need to finish the Big Damn Trilogy. I don't know about a Battlestar Galactica movie, would it be in the continuity of the series? Maybe combining the last three episodes into a movie, that would be cool. Give it a movie-sized budget of course. 24 movie would be good if they had Jack die at the end and end the series. Every season they say "The next will be completely different" and it turns out to be all the same. Well the only things I can think of are comic book movies, but the way they are done now they are a dime a dozen. Making a movie in the continuity of the comics would be cool, but it is completely unfeasible. The best we can hope for is they don't [bleep] up The Incredible Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, Wolverine, Magneto, and the others. Would be awesome to see a Cable and Deadpool movie, but I think it would just be a let down. They could probably do a X-Factor movie, it has a good film noir twist to it. Book wise I think it would be cool to see the Terry Brooks' Shannara series, but everyone would just call it a Lord of the Rings rip-off (OK, so maybe the Sword of Shannara is a complete rip-off, but the rest of the series isn't). Also, completely new stuff is awesome of course.
  21. Well, none of them really are trash. They all have good points and bad points. I'll admit, I am very disappointed with my Wii. I haven't touched it in a month or two, and that was just to check the weather one morning. Even my friends don't feel like playing it when they come over. I have Red Steel and Zelda, both completed about 15% of the way through with no urge at all to finish them. But all that doesn't make the console trash. If they were all the same price right now I would have chosen the PS3, or the 360+HD-DVD drive, just to play movies on them. Since they are still expensive, and the Wii isn't doing much for me, my real choice would be none of them. That still doesn't make them trash though, I'm just not a console gamer type of person I guess.

very mature... not even putting the effort in to laugh at him properly, or throw a decent insult. settling for the simple 'lol'.... very nice -.- Well, it is kind of hilarious, in a way. I believe we just a had a thread about taking [cabbage]s not too long ago. That wasn't what the thread was of course, until we hijacked it. Anyways, my advice was fruit. Eat about 2 bananas, an apple, an orange, and two other assorted pieces of fruit in an hour period. That should take care of the [cabbage] problem.
  23. I'd say John taught the daughter better, to be more careful next time. Not only is it wasteful, it could very easily be injury causing. Simon just taught his daughter to not worry about anything at all. I find the anti-materialism debate to be kind of lame most of the time. You never ever see any "pro-materialism" people, and yet this is still a materialist world. I am neither pro or anti, if objects give you happiness more power to you, if not, then don't get them. I know my material possessions make me happy.
  24. First season was 5 episodes, seasons 2 and 3 are 12 episodes. I guess the first season was just a trial to see if it went over well or not. EDIT: Watched a movie :P Apocalypto - It looked very nice. Had action, had some gore, and a decent enough storyline.
  25. "The 4400" entire series - I like it a lot. Sure, the acting is sub-par at times, and it can be kind of stupid at times, but overall it is pretty good. My biggest complaint is sitting through three different intros every episode.
