Many of the New Deals involved the redistribution of wealth by the government. Taking the money from the productive members of society, and giving it to "the needy." Giving subsidies to certain businesses, which then could lower prices and force their competitors out of business. A free market would have self corrected itself fairly quickly. But every New Deal he made went a step further from the free market, and everyone was blaming the free market ideology for the economic problems. The US's Great Depression started in 1929, and wasn't over until about 1942, when the US joined WWII. That's 13 years, and only ended because of the war. 13 years of new deals just kept prolonging the GD.

I'll disagree with that. I don't see why FDR was considered so great of a president, he kept us in the depression a lot longer than needed. It would have lasted even longer if we didn't get involved in WWII. He actually may have known about the Pearl Harbor attack before it happened, but let it happen in order to get the US into WWII, which stimulated the economy out of the depression. All of his economic policies that he put into place got the credit for getting us out of the depression, when they probably caused it to last a lot longer.

Whatever floats their boat. I think it's a little weird, but am more or less indifferent.

Bottle Rocket - While I can never choose my favourite Wes Anderson movie, this is the one I usually rate last. That means it is still awesome, just not quite as awesome as the others. You should view that statement as "oh, the others must be spectacular" rather than "oh, this one must suck." Because it doesn't suck, it is great. If all the other ones were 10/10, this one would be 9.5/10 (not what I would rate them, but the general idea stands). Ghost Rider - I've said many a time that I enjoy comic book movies. Probably a lot more than I should. So I enjoyed this movie. As far as I can tell, I am the only one. I also hold nothing against Nicolas Cage. As far as I can tell, I am the only one on that issue too. Was the movie award winning? Not by a long shot. I still enjoyed it though. Fantastic Four - In case you missed my reminder above, I enjoy comic book movies. I also really enjoyed this movie. There weren't any great performances in it, but they did OK. The story was a generic FF4 story, which was OK. The special effects looked good at times, and that was cool. An enjoyable movie. Had to watch it again since I am going to see FF4: RotSS tomorrow.

He scouts out planets for Galactus, a being who eats worlds. He has helped Galactus destroy billions, possibly trillions of beings. I think that would constitute being a bad guy :P . It was good, but most opera singers are just as good. Maybe this just seemed awesome because the rest of the people on the show suck. But having never watched it, I don't know for sure.

Knocked Up - Funny, but I am going to have to go against the majority of people and say I still liked 40 Year Old Virgin better. Maybe because I can relate to it more? haha.

Eww eww, the eye, the eye! Now that was a mixed bag of emotions I was left with after I saw that film. I loved the eye and moon part, but then again I loved all of it. Just wish it was a little more clear at times, I couldn't see what was going on sometimes because the transfer quality was a little low. EDIT: Forgot to post my movies :D Roman Holiday - A classic romance movie. Audrey Hepburn is one of the most beautiful actresses there is, and that is reason enough to see it. It is a great movie. Groundhog Day - I like this movie. A lot. Might be because Bill Murray is the main character, and I've liked almost every movie he has been in. Anyhow, I love this movie.

I actually haven't tried it on DOSbox yet. The last time I played it I had a small partition on a secondary hard drive with DOS 6.0 (I think) installed on it. When I wanted to play a DOS game, I went into the BIOS and switched the boot order to the other hard drive. At least I think I did. I can't remember exactly. I have a bootable FreeDOS CD sitting here as well, maybe I used that.

Tie Fighter Rebel Assault Rebel Assault II Dark Forces Time to get DOSbox up and start playing again :D .

Un chien andalou - Can't really describe what to say about this, so I will just say watch it, immediately. The Snake Pit - This is one my mom used to always watch, but strangely I never did. I did remember a few parts from it though. It is a very good movie, if you have seen One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and liked it you will probably like this one. A lot of similarities, but the main difference is the main character actually is insane in this one. Hard Candy - Screwed up and completely awesome.

First of all, great post. Also like how you are doing the little link things at the bottom, that will help me out later. But I don't know if I completely agree with the 3 person situation you gave us. If all three kids feel the same thing but are told it is called something different, it is just word subjectivity. When they come back to the situation a while down the road, I think they will feel exactly the same. I don't think one will be more nervous than the others, or one more pessimistic, but they may describe it as that because that is what they are told that feeling is. So yes, it is impossible to explain feelings objectively, I do agree with that. Unless I misunderstood the wording of the second part, I think I disagree with it.

I hate it when something interrupts me and I miss the bowl. A few days ago it was a cockroach, I freaking hate those things.

Jeez i forgot about Arrested Devolpment, be Jericho got 6 more episode sin the summer i believe 7 episodes, with the chance at getting a complete season. Not slated for any time frame yet though, it definitely won't be in the summer though. They can't make the shows that quick.

Firefly and Arrested Development are the two big ones. Firefly more so, AD had a decent run and an ending. There are a few more I watched but wasn't all that upset they got canceled. Sons and Daughters (a little more upset about this that the rest) Jericho The Class The Winner Dark Angel Drive

I keep a box of tissues on the toilet, just in case. A good place to keep tissues anyways, that way when you blow your nose you are right next to a sink to wash your hands off.
