  1. Blame Fox "News" :shame: This index has nothing to do with the validity of what is being reported. I've posted this in one or two topics here. There is also an econimcal index, in which the USA is doing a lot better. Ranked #11 or #12. Still could be better.
  2. Driving in bad weather depends a lot more on the drivers ability rather than the vehicle. Last winter when the roads were covered in snow, before even the interstate was all that clear, I made it to work just fine in my little Chevy Cavilier. I have about 10 minutes of country road driving, which involves a lot of twists and turns and hills, about 10 minutes of interstate driving, which was still had a snow on it, and about 10 minutes of city driving, which involves a lot of stopping and starting. I made it to work just fine. On the way to work I remember seeing a few vehicles on the side of the interstate and in the medium. I remember two SUVs, at least. I remembered these because of people saying how much better they are in the snow. It took me longer to get to work than the normal half hour because I drove cautiously, and I made it there just fine. Maybe they do help somewhat. The most important part is still the driver.
  3. I guess I am with the minority on this one who think this law is bad. I've never driven a SUV, and I probably never will because I don't see the point to them. But it was my choice to not use them, not the governments. Big vehicles have their uses too. There are many times when you need a big truck. Have you ever tried to put 600lbs of concrete mix in the trunk of your coupe? Try putting 14ft long pieces of 2x4s in your small car. Try pulling a trailer with two professional lawn mowers on it that weight 1000lbs each. Big vehicles have their uses.
  4. Then again, try disproving santa claus :P Get Google to take a global picture on 25th of December and then check every chimney? :P Google doesn't take the pictures. They either lease them or buy them from other companies. But in theory, that would work  .
  5. Don't forget South Park Republicans :P .
  6. Yeah, I noticed that too. Nice little details.
  7. I thought it was pretty good. They should have had Mohinder come back to the US at the end though. I don't think that plot line where he has to "find his way again" should take too long. That is purely my opinion from my critic side. One thing I found very interesting was Claire's dad (what's his name?) said he was also trying to stop the bombing. He is pretty much shown as being the "bad guy" the whole time. So that means he is either lying, which is probably what they will go with, or he is telling the truth, and isn't a bad guy after all, and that's my theory. Just because it is kind of the same as my Lost theory, "The Others" being the good guys :P . One other thing I didn't like about the episode was Hiro going back in time. I don't like any stories, books, comic books, movies, or anything that has time travel in it. To many plot holes.
  8. But you don't know that, which is the whole point of it. Like a few people already said above.
  9. Seems like I remember seeing topics like this a few times before. I don't think the arguing is much worse than normal.
  10. Unforgiven - Not to big on westerns, but I liked this one. Pretty good storyline, overall pretty good acting, and it looked nice. Definently a must see if you like westerns. Jersey Girl - This movie gets a pretty bad rap, some of it justified, some of it not. The story was decent, the acting wasn't great but it wasn't bad, and it had some good comedy in it's own way. It is my least favourite of all the Kevin Smith movies, but I still like it. I could see how some people wouldn't though.
  11. I don't normally find them for less than $10, but I'll have to agree this probably a good thing to do. If you like strategy, pick up AOE2 and expansion or Red Alert 2 and expansion. If you like FPS pick up XIII or Unreal Tournament. If you like RPG pick up Morrowind and the expansions, or Neverwinter Nights and the expansions, or SW:KOTOR. None of those games should be too expensive.
  12. I've always really enjoyed mazes. I can't do them on the computer though, makes my eyes hurt to stare at them. I'll see if I can print them off.
  13. I don't believe in giving anything to anybody who didn't work for it. I am a completly selfish person, so no, I don't give any money to homeless. A few years back before I started (trying) to follow these morals I still didn't give money to homeless. I saw a group of about 6 of them sitting on the side of the street one day, all with trashbags over their legs. At that time I felt sorry for them, and was possibly going to give them something. My dad who went around that area a lot (he was a mailman there) told me not to. One of them wasn't homeless at all. He drove a Corvette, he made a ton of money begging. At one point or another he has seen under their trashbags, which are there to cover up their $100 Nikes. So yeah, even before I became selfish I still never gave money to homeless. I am not saying all of them are like this, but you never know.
  14. Don't count mine, I am not a highschooler anymore. I'm bored beyond belief right now though so I am going to fill it out :P . Fast food 2 Home-cooked meals 7 Restaurant food 1 Left-overs 3 Breakfast 0 What grade are you in? Freshman in college Do you feel pressured to watch what you eat? No
  15. Hmm, I think I lost you here. What do you mean? The guy likes foreign movies and still doesn't know why. :P I guess that is plausible. Personally, I don't mind when a movie is in a foreign language and I have to read subs, but I am not happy about it. I do like Jean Reno though.
  16. "Seinfeld" seasons 5 and 6 - You all know about Seinfeld, so there isn't much I can say that you haven't heard before. I love it. Animatrix - I really wanted to watch something animated tonight, but I didn't feel like watching any of the ones I had access to, but I hadn't seen this yet so I figured I should. If you liked the Matrix movies, you will probably like these. Nine fairly short stories, that I think all take place before the movies. Pretty interesting for fans of the film's story, and over all they are done pretty well. Each of them have a different style to them. I really enjoyed the Film Noir one, it was a little more different than all the others. Dirty Deeds - I think I've seen this movie twice before tonight, and I think both times I wrote what I am about to write :D . It's a very generic cliched High School teenager comedy. And I enjoyed it. It wasn't a great movie by any means, but it wasn't a bad one either. It only rates at a 5.3 on IMDb, and that seems a little low. I found it enertaining. If you don't mind movies that really aren't anything special, and are pretty generic, then you might like this one. Plus, "Peter Petrelli" one of the main characters from the new serial "Heroes" is the main charachter in this movie.
  17. Try Logan's Run, or Barry Lyndon. Both just rated PG, not PG-13, and both have female nudity in them. Just a small part in Barry Lyndon, but there was a lot in Logan's Run.

What are the chances of that? That is freaking awesome. I almost had a heart attack when I got a four of a kind with Aces, I haven't ever even had a straight flush.
  19. Tip.it has a chat? Learn something new everyday. I probably have learned that 20 times now that I think about it, I just never remember.
  20. Yep, and that is why he is so important. If he sides with the Democrats the vote will be 51 to 49. If he sides with the Republicans the vote will be 50-50, and the Vice President breaks the tie. So whoever he sides with, wins.
  21. Sometimes it does make it easier for one or the other big parties. But Independants still do get elected, if you read my post above you would have found out than an Independant was elected to the Senate.
  22. Voting for the third parties is a good thing if one of them is closer to your political stance than Democrats or Republicans. I voted for the two Libertarians that were candidates. As you can see from the picture, neither of them came close. Still, it was nice to have that option. In Vermont an independent was elected to Senate. He is a Socialist, the first one to serve in the U.S. Senate. He caucuses with the Democrats, so they counted him as a Democrat when it comes to committee assignments. So that puts the Senate at 51-49 in favor of the Democrats. That means Congress is controlled by the Democrats (The House is controlled by them also).
  23. Heh, ~5'10" and weighing in at 95 pounds. 16 aswell, I just can't put on weight. :P I ate about half of a cake which had an ingredient list matching the length of the Bible and didn't gain squat. I'm always baking myself cakes, muffins and brownies and yet I gain nothing. I also don't exercise alot, I only play golf. (Although... it's more exercise than meets the eye.) Well, you beat me by a few pounds. I didn't think anyone could get skinnier than me, but apperantly they can. I am 20 also, so I am pretty much done growing. I don't eat a lot, but for my size I think it is pretty average. I am decent with alcohol also, if I can judge anything having only really been out drinking twice.
  24. I sort of have a fast metabolism, so I am really skinny. 5'9", and only 105lbs.
  25. Nikki/Jessica definently does have powers. No normal human being can do what she did to those two in the garage. She completly teared them apart.
