Mid-Term Elections
Interesting thing about the elections in Indiana (my state) this year: Population: 6,080,485 Total number of votes for US Senator, which is voted on by the entire state: 635834 Which means only around 10% of people voted in this state. Obviously population includes children under 18 who can't vote, so those stats really don't mean anything. EDIT: Whoops, double posted. Meant to edit the last one.

Mid-Term Elections
Yeah, I guess I shouldn't say my vote didn't count at all. Still, I thought it was going to be a lot closer. I thought Steve Osbourn really had a chance. Well, I've been muttering over just my state too much. Where can I get a good list of the US Senate and House results? The Yahoo! page is being weird for some reason.

Mid-Term Elections
Well, my vote officially didn't matter at all. Steve Osbourne and Mike Kole were really the only reason I voted. I wouldn't call them Libertarians, but they are a little closer too it than the others. I thought tha voting for them would be good, the lesser of all the evils. Only disagree with them 40% of the time instead of 50%+.

Mid-Term Elections
I felt dirty after coming out of the voting place. It was the first time I voted, and I was really excited about it. Then while I was voting, I realized there isn't one candidate that I would agree with 60% of the views.

A question for everybody
People on the extremes tend to argue more vehmentantly. So it appears that everyone is extreme, because you mostly only hear from the extremes.

anybody watch HEROES...?
Yes, I watch it, and I love it.

Do you believe in physcial infinity? *Question Rephrased*
That theory is pretty widespread I think. Well I've heard it anyway. When I first started posting about it I thought it was a common belief among everybody who thought there was a Big Bang. It seemed the only logical explination, an infinite number of Big Bangs and Big Crunches. But no one ever seemed to have hear of it before. In all the discussions I would bring it up, every seemed like that was the first time they heard of it.

Do you believe in physcial infinity? *Question Rephrased*
I've been saying the Universe will crunch and bang infinitly in every topic dealing like this. I passed on saying it in this topic because I wanted to see if anyone listened :P . Apperantly someone did, or the theory is more widespread than I thought.

5th of November
Ok, I am officially lost. You celebrate by burning Guy Fawkes? So the celebration is kind of an anti-Guy Fawkes day?

What movie(s) did you last see?
Brazil - This movie is kind of odd. It is a dystopian movie, in fact it is also known as "1984 1/2". I'm really just taking things write off the imdb page, since they explain it pretty well. Pretty much Orwell with Monty Python thrown in. I definently enjoyed it, and I loved the ending. Minority Report - Let my sister borrow this about half a year ago. Only movie I've had lent out for a long time. Because I didn't have it in my possession, I really wanted to watch it :P . Finally got it back the other day, but too much other stuff to watch. After watching Brazil, and since it's the Fifth of November and everything, I decided another dystopian movie would be good. And I did enjoy it, just as much as the first time.

Climate change - What do you think?
I bet no one can guess what I am about to post :P . Now that I got that out of the way, I'll write something so this post isn't spam. If the the climate change is going in a direction that will drastically change the temperatures to either hotter or colder, it may cause problems. But humans are very adaptable to change, and I think the race will survive.

5th of November
A discussion about wether or not the movie is good should probably not be in this topic, should be in the M&M forum. But, you're not going to be able to discuss November 5th anymore without a discussion about V for Vendetta, so I guess it is inevitable. Why don't you all like it? The acting was good, the movie flowed very well, the politics didn't really follow the graphic novel, but it was geared more towards today's situation. You don't have to like it, you don't have to agree with the politics of it, but neither of those things should affect wether or not you think the film is good. Hell, if I didn't like movies that disagreed with my political views, there may only be one or two movies that I really like.

I believe in infinites. The universe is infinitly big, time is infinite, numbers can be infinite.

I enjoyed the movie also. I liked the graphic novel also. But this day isn't about V, it's about Guy Fawkes and the gunpowder treason. EDIT: Yay for censorship!

What movie(s) did you last see?
Corpse Bride - Another great Tim Burton movie. So it is odd, and has a lot of the same actors/actresses, it is dark, and a little freaky. I could see how someone wouldn't really like that style. I like it however, and I like it a lot.

What movie(s) did you last see?
Annie Hall - First Woody Allen film I've seen, and I liked it. It's a little different, and the story was OK, overall a pretty good movie. Capote - A biographical type film, but it still is a drama. Exactly like the book Truman Capote was writing during the film. It was pretty good, but it was slow. If you are wanting an action packed movie you won't get it here, but it does keep you interested.

What movie(s) did you last see?
Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan - Like I said in it's thread, funny, but not as funny as I thought it was going to be.
-
The Borat Movie
Turns out it was playing in a theater near me, just one of the crappy ones. really weird, around 20 theaters come up on google when I search near me and the second crappiest one is the only one that has it. Oh well. It was funny, but I was expecting it to be a lot funnier.

Stealing...
Wal-Mart closed one of its stores up in the city, and built a new Super Center about 3 miles away. So they do close every now and then, when they go from a regular Wal-Mart to a Super Center. What I gave was a bad example anyways, since they have just announced that they aren't closing the first one for good, they are also going to make that into a Super Center. Two Wal-Mart Super Centers roughly 3 miles from each other :D

What music would you like to be played on your funeral?
Well, I guess if my family had to have a wake/funeral for me then I guess I would want them to play Gary Jules - Mad World at some point. But I really wouldn't be caring all that much, since I would be dead.
-
Wow, I just literally rofled when I saw this!
No, you just haven't seen anything funny enough to do that. Very few things have made me ROFL. This video isn't anywhere close. Hell, I didn't even get a grin on my face. It was only a few seconds, but still I want them back. It's taking me longer to complain about it than actually watch it, but I'm trying to make a point. There wasn't anything funny about it.

Favourite word u never forget to say every day!
I'm going to have to go with rick' on this one. I swear every day. Lately I've been saying "frak" instead of, well you know :P . Example: You are a fraking idiot. You motherfrakker. BSG FTW!

Knights of the Old Republic Question
You can stun them for a few turns, but you'll have to kill them if you don't want them to continue attacking you.

What movie(s) did you last see?
Salaire de la peur, Le - The whole first 2/3 of the movie I wasn't too happy with it. Thought it was kind of a lame story, and a lot of it just didn't make sense. By the end I was pretty happy with it though, it seemed to turn pretty enertaining. If you have a chance, might as well watch it.
