I don't celebrate Christ's birth. I give and receive gifts from family and friends for my own pleasure. I call it Christmas because my family, who are Catholic, celebrate it.

The thing I like least about Christmas is all the people complaining and saying how it isn't about presents. Christmas is only about one thing: celebrating Jesus' birth. If you celebrate it by spending time with your family, great. If you celebrate it by giving presents, great. Neither one is more important than the other. As an atheist I don't believe in any of it. As a consumer I celebrate Christmas as a day for giving and receiving gifts.

Did anyone get a chance to go out today and see if any stores had them for Black Friday?

I haven't used an instant messenger in ages. The last one I used was Trillian, and it was pretty good. I used my AIM name with it.

I dont get it, whats the difference between selling now, and selling the day after thanksgiving? Advertisement. If they advertise it on Black Friday they can bring in more customers. If they advertise it for Friday, but don't have any because they sold them all today, they get sued for false advertising.

Best Buy holding Wiis, lying to customers - Saw this article on digg. In the comments a few said many of the stores have Wiis, they are just holding them for Black Friday. So if you want to battle on Black Friday, you might be able to get one then.

I only went to that one Wal-Mart, so I didn't waste as much time as you did, but it still kind of made me mad. As far as I know the next shipment is December 13.

Won't say anything till it's over, but I will point out one of the kids at the high school was wearing a Battlestar Galactica t-shirt (my second favourite show, Heroes is tied in third with a few). EDIT: OK, the show has been over for a few minutes. I thought this episode was really good. It could have been better though if there was more about Hiro. At least we know why future ninja Hiro came back and told Peter to save the cheerleader. He knew he wouldn't be there for that to happen. Peter is arrested right now, I think that will probably clear up pretty quickly by just having Claire come forward. As far as we know the catch-phase "Save the cheerleader, save the world" is now completed. It was a pretty cool tagline though, maybe they will work it into the next episodes.

Well PS3 came out Thursday, and Wii came out today. So the rush to get the PS3 is basically over, and the Wii rush is still going on. I do wonder about the accuracy of it though. If less than 300,000 were sold this morning, that should mean there are a lot still out there, right? I wonder if I should go around today and see if I can find one somewhere...

Having a HDTV is only part of the process, you actually have to be watching HD broadcasts to enjoy the benefits. Otherwise its no different to standard def Actually there can be a difference. Standard broadcasts can actually look worse on a HDTV sometimes. They look pixelated or something, its a little odd to explain but they don't look as smooth.

Babylon 5: The Gathering and "Babylon 5" season 1 and most of 2 - I am just putting all these together because I feel pretty much the same about all of them. They are pretty bad. Not to good of acting, plot lines aren't very interesting. Special effects are bad, and I know they are older shows, but it's really bad. The only reason I continue watching it is I really don't have anything else to watch at the moment. And the ongoing story is a little interesting. Overall it is not all that great. I'll probably continue watching it till I find something else. Kill Bill: Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 - I really like it. That pretty much sums it up.

While motion sensing isn't a new technology, and has been used before, Duck Hunt didn't use it. It was all about reading the switch between light. Right after you shoot, the screen goes black, and you can see a white duck on it. The gun just reads the change of light. I just read an article on it, I'll see if I can find it again.

Heh, I've been getting a kick out of telling my family about all the things that were happening for the PS3. I'm going to be there at midnight for the Wii, and they all think I am going to get shot or mugged now, or go to jail for rioting. They had to shut down a Wal-Mart temporarily in California, they told the people waiting they had to wait outside, and on the way out they were destroying everything. Had to call in the police :lol: . In New York there were 50 people waiting in line, and all of them were robbed at gun point. Fun times. Fun times.

I better stay away from the beach because, you know, a small tsunami might hit any time.
