We just had a book thread not to long ago. I'll see if I can find it.
  2. Are you watching out for the MLB also  . /Obscure? I hope not...
  3. wow. They really are doing good on sales. It was released in Japan today, maybe that had something to do with it.
  4. The only time I ever halfway wanted a tattoo was back when I was 15, I wanted to put an anarchy symbol on my chest somewhere. I look back on that now and laugh about why I would want something like that tattooed on me, and that stops me from wanting anything else.
  5. Runescape had way to many "noobs" two years ago when I quit. I haven't played since, so I'm not an authority on the matter, but from the quality of topics that get moved from RS General to OT it appears that the number of "noobs" per capita has at least remained the same, if not increased. EDIT: Forgot my point :D . Which is that while the advertisement may bring in more "noobs", they would just be a drop in the ocean.

I was actually pretty lucky with my car situation. I was able to use a family car up until April of this year (8 months ago), and all I had to do was pay insurance, gas, and maintenance. My first car that I bought when I couldn't use the family car any more is a 2006 Chevy Cobalt. $14,000 new. It has 12,000 miles on it now, which I guess isn't bad for 8 months. I'm keeping it till it dies though, so hopefully I can get 10 more years out of it.

That is very important, diversifying is a major part of investing. That is definitely something you will want to do. That is, if you are planning on long term investing. With just $1500 though, you are probably only planning on short term investments. Diversifying probably shouldn't be a big deal with this amount of capital.
  8. Explain to him there is no point in killing himself. You don't have to explain the other side, no point in living either, just tell him it serves no purpose to kill himself. Tell him to grow up, except in a nicer fashion. I mean honestly, killing yourself over a girlfriend when you are 15? Just keep in mind it (should) be his choice, and if he really, really, really wants to commit suicide, then it's his choice.
  9. Too much of anything isn't good. The internet is no exception.
  10. You say make them realistic, yet you list three very unrealistic examples. Seriously, "discovering a cure for a genetic disorder"?
  11. What if you had to give up your life in order to kill him? Would you do it then?
  12. Read my post above. Anyone who wants one will be able to get one before Christmas. They will have 4 million by that time.
  13. That song gave me a different feeling, closest word I can use to explain it is euphoria. By the end, wow.
  14. If the choice was only to go back into the past, I wouldn't. I would go into the future if that was also an option. I like seeing the level of technology increase, and the present is the best time for that. If I had to, I would probably go back to the American Revolution.
  15. yep, that had the all time cliff hanger of any tv show ive seen, cant wait for season 3. Heh, watch 24. By definition every single episode ends abruptly with a cliff hanger. That is actually the next after the next TV show I plan on watching, I heard it was really good.
  16. A lot of things? As in more than one?

Some offer dividends, some don't. The ones that do offer them work just like the ones that don't, so you can still buy low sell high. The dividend payout is just something extra.

You get paid depending on how many stocks you own. If you owned Nintendo Stock before the dividend you would get $.075 per share. So in my case it was a total of $6.13. The last one back in March was $.074 per share. That is all decided upon my the board of directors. The board also decided that they were going to be paid semi-annually in March and September.

It is healthiest to shower 3-4 times a week. That means if you shower every other day, one week you will shower 3 times and the next you will shower 4. I have to shower everyday because I work manual labour. I frequently come home covered in mud, grease, grass (in the spring/summer), sometimes gas/diesel fuel and not to mention the big one, sweat. If I didn't shower everyday, I would have a permanent stench.

Dividends are usually pretty small. For example, I had $2000 invested in Nintendo right before their last dividend payment. Since the stock was $24.48 per share at the time it was a total of 81.699 shares. At $.075 per share, I received $6.13. So on $2000 I made $6.13 from the dividends. Dividends probably aren't going to be your main source of income unless you have many, many, many shares. For Nintendo, they only pay out dividends twice a year.
  21. Babylon 5: In the Beginning - Takes place before the Babylon 5 series, but I wouldn't watch it till after watching the series, or at least up until after season 4. It was decent, and summed up a lot that we have seen throughout the series. Babylon 5: Thirdspace - Basically just a long episode. Nothing special. Babylon 5: River of Souls - Basically just a long episode, but it sucked worse. Babylon 5: A Call to Arms - Basically just a long episode, better than the last movie but still not quite as good as the series. Redeeming factor was the end. Babylon 5: The Legend of the Rangers: To Live and Die in Starlight - A crime against humanity. Or at least against anyone who likes Babylon 5. I still have a 13 episode spin off series to go through, and then I'll be done with the Babylon 5 Universe.
  22. Hehe, that was a good story. Nintendo announced that their will be 4 million Wiis by Christmas, so I'm not to worried about getting one. Every Circuit City is getting some for this Sunday, and Best Buy should be getting their normal 12 a week per store. Circuit City is getting between 14-125 per store for this Sunday.

Twice a week is more than some people with regular hair?! Where do you live? Everyone I know takes a shower and washes their hair everyday.
  24. what do u mean by that? if ur saying that Scientologists made up the fact that he got offended, then thats not true. he did get offended. there was an episode on south park that made fun of it (cant remember it). if i misunderstood u, please tell me. : He took a leave of absence because of medical problems. From what I understand, he chose not to come back because of the episode. They played it as he quit because of the episode, but he didn't.
  25. Have you seen Spanglish or Punch Drunk Love? He doesn't just do comedies. And he actually is decent in those two.
