  1. All About Eve - its a 1950 movie, so i might edit it into my list for the greatest movies of the 50s tournament. its definently really good, mostly for the acting. Mars Attacks! - the last time i saw this was so long ago, but i remembered a lot of parts. watching it this time i knew that it was directed by tim burton, and you can definently tell it was. a spoof on war of the worlds, fairly good watch. not as good as some other tim burton movies, but still good. The Butterfly Effect - when it first came out, i thought it looked stupid. and it had ashton kutcher in it, so i never even considered watching it. in the past year or two when i have really gotten into movies, from time to time i heard it was good. and it was, it was really good. not particullarly spectactular acting by ashton, but he did good enough. the story was great. definently a good movie to watch.
  2. around here (indiana, kentucky, ohio tristate area) all the fireworks places are right on the border in indiana, because you cant purchase them in ohio. i pass a fireworks place going to work everyday that is open all year round, normally they close in the off season. its huge too  .
  3. i probably cant explain it very well, those websites listed probably would. but ill give a basic idea: a tagent universe, in which donnie darko is a jesus like charachter. the only way to save the tangent universe, and the main universe, is to sacrifice himself.
  4. *resists urge to feed the trolls... cant* posting in different colors is stupid because on a black background, dark blue and blue are really hard to read. there is a reason only one or two people post in a different color all the time, its because its hard to read. the default colours are easy to read, and you know it will be readable no matter what forum style they use. and i dont know why i was called a loser, at least one other person thought it was spam, because it was reported as spam.
  5. i just bought all three lord of the rings gift sets last week, took a pitcture but my camera is being stupid. $17 USD each, so not to bad of a deal :D
  6. Mind your spam, oh great Bubsa. Im in my room! Typing on my super awesome iMac :D speaking of spam, this whole topic is spam. and typing in different colors is idiotic. cant read it half the time.
  7. heh, i always found it to be pretty much the opposite. people are normally considered to be a lot meaner online, because they dont have to see or hear the person they are communicating with.
  8. you dont have quicktime installed. you could try clicking on the symbol, and it should walk you through it. if not, you will have to download quicktime manually.
  9. depends on a lot of things. mostly where they are. remember at the begining of return of the jedi when luke is fighting that big creature down in the pit? we can assume luke is almost as strong as darth vader, and we can assume king kong would be just as strong (and more athletic) than the creature (name please?). if they were out in a field, luke probably would have been squashed. luke only survived because he could use his surroundings to his advantage. but then you also have the whole lightsaber deal, does darth vader have one in this scenerio or not? if so, he could probably force throw it straight through king kongs brain, but king kong may be able to dodge it. so many scenerios that its hard to say who would win. my two guesses: vader without lightsaber, kong wins. vader with lightsaber, vader wins.
  10. well equal is kind of weird, there are and infinite amount of both prime and regular, so its really a case of if infinity=infinity or not. which it does and doesnt.
  11. there are an infinite amount of primes. there are an infinite amount of regular numbers. makes sense to me. infinity works in mysterious ways, youll see a lot of it once you get into calculus.
  12. im assuming you are reffering to the first buddha, even though you didnt capitilize (lazy just like me :P ). he wasnt a god, he was just the first to achieve enlightenment. he would be best described as a teacher. there were many buddhas after him, he was just the first. i think. im a little rusty on my buddhism, ill check later. vivec from morrowind. so fun to soul trap a god :D
  13. heh, a documentary on bears :P . with an 8.1 rating on imdb no less. Forbidden Planet - 1956 sci fi movie, that is pretty good. the effects arent all that great, but probably not to bad for the time. its very odd to see a young leslie nielsen playing a serious role, but he actually does pretty good. the plot of the movie is pretty good, and the acting is decent by everyone. if you like sci fi, you will probably appreciate this one. if you dont, you might not like it. Se7en - probably heard enough about how awesome this movie is, but ill go through it anyways. David Fincher=awesome; Brad Pitt=awesome, Morgan Freeman=awesome, Kevin Spacey=doubly awesome, the story line=awesome, the ending=super duper awesome. Braveheart - second time watching it, the first time was quite a while ago. its a decent movie, didnt quite catch my interest very much though. i didnt think mel gibson was all that great for the part either, he didnt convince me.
  14. besides for the ones already mentioned (probably my top five have already been mentioned): Alfred Hitchcock Frank Capra Sergio Leone Darren Aronofsky

NOFX - the war on errorism Bad Religion - all ages those are the two punk cds i had up until yesterday, when my cousin came home i got a lot. the pixies, rancid, nofx, bad religion, misfits, sex pistols were all the different bands he gave me. also suggested the unseen, and dead kennedys. i think he and you would like similar things :D EDIT: your (the topic starters) name is TheDecline, im assuming that is because of the 18 minute NOFX song? i havent heard it yet, but i put it on one of the cds. and i mentioned the pixies in the list of bands, im not sure exactly if he said they were punk or not. having not listened to them yet, i dont know.
  16. Bonnie and Clyde - this movie was pretty enjoyable, an interesting plot and pretty good acting. like butch cassidy and the sundance kid, this movie is about criminals who steal and kill people. and also like it, you are supposed to feel as if they were the good people. didnt really care for that part of either of the movies, but it all works out in the end. a good one to watch, you will be enertained. i just checked AFI's website of their list of heroes and villans to see if they were on there, and they were. they are number 32 on the villans list. what doesnt make sense is they put butch cassidy and the sundance kid on the "heroes" list, even thought they robbed and killed people also. whats even more weird, is in bonnie and clyde they tried to justify the reasons for bonnie and clyde to do this, like they actually are doing something good. they didnt try to justify anything in butch cassidy and the sundance kid. anyways, they are both good movies. just remember that they kill and steal, so they arent good people. Cool Hand Luke - this movie was decent, but dragged on a certain points. about a criminal who works in a labor camp, but doesnt really like living by rules of any kind. keep with it to the end, and you may just find its worth your time. Casablanca - just as good the second time. im definently positive this is in my top 10 favourite movies. definently my favourite romance movie. it got to me a little more than last time, i was a little teary eyed during a few parts of the movie  . definently a must see for everyone, no matter what.
  17. yep, major major major major is from catch 22. /nothing to add //just thought id drop in and confirm

Ditto me too. now that i live in the basement of my house i cant hear when it rains anymore. i can still hear the thunder though, and can see the flashes outside my window. its awesome.
  19. man, lots of things in this thread made me laugh  . anyways, my kid if it is a boy would be named tim jr, after me of course :P . there are many girls names i like, but mostly only because of girls i know with those names.
  20. City Lights - for a silent film, it was pretty funny. charlie chaplin did a good job with this one, allthough the humour is a little odd. had me on the floor at one point, but at others it just seemed kinda stupid. but overall a good movie :D Rush Hour 2 - a sequel that should not have been made. the first one wasnt anything special, but it did have some funny parts in it. this one had considerably less funny parts in it.
  21. i really enjoy requiem for a dream's whole soundtrack.
  22. They're making a sequel. Let's hope they found a better way [-o< What happened to the first 3? hehe, good one :P . im assuming you're joking, right? anyways, im up for another fantastic four, any jessica is good jessica, g rated or not. i enjoyed the first movie, nothing special about it but its far from being the worst movie ever. EDIT: i just remembered, there is a good part of fantastic four with her, they need more of this in the next movie :D
  23. haha, you are openly saying that you dont read the rules? and you really dont think this is advertising? i say you should get a ban for stupidity, if nothing else.
  24. guys dont cry because everyone thinks they arent supposed to. i think it would be much healthier if i cried everynow and then, rather than just bottling it up inside me and letting it come out as anger.
