emachines are going to start coming with a pci express 16 slot on their motherboard. read here. i know emachines arent a very popular brand of computer, but ive bought one for my parents, one for my sister, one for my grandparents, and one for a friend. (not paying for them, telling them what to buy :P .) they have all been more than happy with price vs performance. they arent the fastest, but you pay $400 for a computer (comes with monitor printer and everything) throw in a gig of ram extra, add a video card and your system isnt half bad. plus you dont have to worry about all the problems with new motherboards...

i have no idea what to do with that dam dirty ape :P . probably going to have to make a bookself and move my books to it. magnolia is awesome, for some reason i never think of buying it though. its so readily available at the library two minutes away, thats probably why. ill get it eventually though :D

imperial city = capital of cyrodiil. can call washington dc "washington dc" or the capital, its the same thing. yep, it is easy to navigate. the map helps out a ton, but after exploring some of it it all falls together very logically. did anyone find a good place to sell your loot yet? and how many people are doing the thirnroot quest? a tip for those who are: dont look for the thirnroots. just pick them up when ever you see one. much less frustrating that way. i do have 17 on me, along with 10 the guy already took, and i got all but three by traveling around the water surronding imperial city. almost completely done, travelled the whole inside, have about 1/4 of the outside left. and has anyone been to the border yet? just want to know if they randomize skyrim any, my nord may have to take a day or two vacation there for role playings sake :D

gauntlet legends was for n64. not sure what the psx one was called, but i had it. gauntlet dark legecy was for ps2 xbox and gamecube. it was pretty fun. they dont ever bother changing the way it works, they just use what they have an go with it. i like that sort of game that way.

here we go! finally got a camera to take the pictures, and i went a little overboard. really only need to look at the first pic :P . the whole collection i have some books in this book case too i circled my dvd plastic ball. you know how dvds come in plastic, and then have one or more stickers keeping them shut? well, i take off the plastic, add it to my ball, then use the stickers to keep it together. ive been doing it for a while, now to the point where a single dvd plastic thing wont fit around my box sets and special cases go up top i used to like racing a lot, so i had a few model cars. they are now parked in a garage made of dvds :lol: comedies are mostly in one row, and then the rest on the row below it keep my tv series box sets down below, along with the dvds that are duplicates (need to sell them). threw my bouncy ball set down there too, no where else to put them. oh, and metal slinkies ftw! like i said before i kind of got carried away with the camera, so i decided to take pictures of my movie t shirt collection also :P any browncoats out there? funny the first time you wear it, not so funny the next. also not so funny the second time, but most people didnt get it the first time so it doesnt matter. looks a lot clearer and sharper in real life, i like this shirt a lot favorite shirt, its a dr. strangelove shirt if you cant tell, it is a little blurry. i was going to take pictures of the movie posters in my room, but that would have to wait until the pictures of your room topic gets bumped up again. my rooms a mess right now, so im not even going to attempt to take pictures of it yet. :lol:

just bought a new car... this morning! nothing special, a 2006 chevy cobalt LS (basic model, the "extras" were automatic transmission and cruise control, sorry, no floor mats for you :P ) got it for $14,500 after tax and title. and i just took pics of it... but for some reason imageshack isnt loading. ill edit them in later :D . EDIT: its a decent car for what i could afford :P . should last me quite a while, at least i hope it does.

the whole temple canton of vivec always confused me too :o . ive only been to the market (and prison :lol: ) part of the capital city so far, so i really dont know much about it :P . i dont have the market part memorized yet, still trying to find out where im going to make my base. balmora worked so well for me, having hlaalu manor all to myself.

i bought two gigs (2 x 1024mb) off of newegg for $135 US. and it works perfectly good :D

i only opened it up for a few minutes, but it looks EXACTLY the same as morrowinds, and morrowinds was very easy to use. i might play with it again later, but thats a while off. anyways, im hooked. im kind of dissapointed it took 5 hours of game time to get me hooked, because i was hooked straight off the bat with morrowind. anyways, more comments: cons: 1. following a guy for a quest, he got into a vineyard which had a fence around it. took him about 5 minutes to get out of the vineyard. 2. faces still look lifeless even though the mouths move and everything along with the voice. pros: 1. quest system. this is one of those things that catered to a bigger audience, and for good reason. it makes it much, much easier to keep track of everything when you can choose an active quest and see the details for it. 2. ive only been to two cities, the capital city and skingrad. the capital city reminded me of vivec from morrowind, huge, but not very space efficient for the amount of shops there. it is a lot better than vivec, and a lot bigger too. anyways, skingrad was awesome. i loved walking around in that city, it just looked great. i cant wait till i get a graphics card that is good, so i can see it in all its glory. 3. map (in game). its less detail, because its more map like and less picture like. its easy to use, does its job efficiently. 4. level up system. i leveled up two levels at once, because i didnt get to a bed. now you wont have to worry about getting to a bed right away if you dont want to, all the skill levels will count. 5. waiting system. only need to "rest" to level up, to heal you just wait one hour. it was kind of pointless to do it the other way anyways. all in all im liking it more and more. once i get my graphics card ill be able to jump right into the game. then get my 20 inch widescreen monitor, and ill be living in the game :D . i do have one question though, where does everyone sell their loot? in morrowind i sold everything i could to the "creeper," and sold everything else to people in caldera. one stop shop. just wondering if there is any body like the creeper in morrowind. i would look on gamefaqs, but that would be cheating :D asking it here is just friends helping friends :P (yes i know im crazy :P )

not exactly what you are looking for, but if a gauntlet game is for xbox, that was always fun to play with my friends.

funny? yeah, it was pretty funny. i wouldnt list it anywhere near my top comedy movies though, its just funny not anything special about it. not like a dr strangelove funny or i heart huckabees funny. but i did laugh a ton during anchorman, so i enjoyed it.

taxi driver was a great movie. im supposed to write a review of a movie for history class, so i chose paths of glory. hope its easy to write a 3 page review over, i havent seen it before so i dont know :lol: . anyways, looks like i have a rather large collection of planet of the apes movies to watch, so those will start popping up here soon :P

I thought processor speeds doubled on average every 18 months? So 10ghz could be easily reached by then by Intel. hasnt really been doing that lately, i think it might be called Moores law? anyways, seems like highest processor speed has been at 3.6ghz for ages, but there are many different technologies out now too. my 2.0ghz athlon 64 x2 3800+ is a lot faster than my old 2.8ghz p4.

im probably just going to go newegg again. $30 loss for just bad luck sucks, but it happens. if i dont get the money refunded (if they blame it on me) then i will be seriously pissed, and not buy from them again. problem is, my credit card is maxed. i got a few hundred cash right now, so it would be cool to get it at a store. the $130 one i ordered ($99 after rebate, never did do the rebate though. lucky for me, they dont accept a return at all if you do the rebate) was $180 at best buy.

ignoring wether or not this is a true story, id like to point out i dont feel all that sorry for the kid. i do feel sorry for the other people on the bus however. im in the process of building up my collection, but i did come across one darwin award, which i will present to the kid who died: i know its kind of harsh, but sorry, i just dont feel for the kid all that much.

my evga video card didnt work. sent it back cost me $7 to ship and $20 to "restock." i dont get that $30 back or anything, that was a straight loss. not to happy with newegg or evga right now, considering how long ive waited, but i dont know where else to get a video card for cheap.

turns out my onboard graphics on this motherboard are better than my old pci graphics card, or its the fact that i have a fast process and 2 gigs of ram. anyways, i have been playing it now. run at 800x600 with virtually no effects, i get ok framerate. load times are quick, i think cause of the ram. my thoughts on the game so far: morrowind was better. only by a small, small bit, but better none the less. complaints: 1. persuasion is odd. you have to do it quick, which isnt bad unless your mouse doesnt quite register right away. still a small lag there, only noticable when i try to persuade. and i think once you persuade them to a certain point, you cant persuade anymore. ive only played of one game day or so, so i dont know if it resets it everyday or not. 2. dont understand haggling system. probably just need to read the manual, then ill get it. 3. water was way to dark when i was underwater. got killed by slaughter fish a few times. 4. fighting system (not really a complaint, i could go either way). the bows work better imo, the sword attacks are going to take a lot of getting used to with a mouse. 5. they said they were going to make a game that appealed to a wider audience, and i think they have done that verywell. they also said that huge fans of the series would enjoy it just as much, they would find all the best parts and then some. i would have to say it catered a little too much to the general audience, not enough to the fans. now whats better? 1. fast travel. having played most of morrowind using the console to COC a lot of places, i didnt have to worry about getting my loot from outside to the cities very much. just teleport there and back. having just played morrowind with out using the COC at all, and walking everywhere, i found that offered many good oportunities too. then i played daggerfall a while ago and i rather enjoyed there fast travel system. over all, i think fast travel was a good idea. doesnt let you travel from interior cells (COC in morrowind let you tele anytime, anywhere, to anywhere. really was a cheat i guess, unless you only used it like a fast travel system), and doesnt let you travel to places not discovered yet. 2. lockpicking. ive only done very easy locks so far, but for some reason i really enjoy it. unlike the other minigame (persuasion) this is all about timing. broke 10 picks trying to figure out what i was supposed to do, then once i figured it out all was well. 3. charachter creation. talk about customization, so many options i was overwhelmed. ended up clicking on random a few times, found one that looks ok and modified it a bit. 4. the menu. while i was playing i didnt like the menu as much. couldnt figure out how to drop stuff :lol: . now that i think back on it, it is a pretty nice menu. 5. horses, cool to have. dont like the way they "steer" but its still cool to ride a horse. i think you can shoot arrows off of them too, but not sure. 6. NPC dialogue. very easy to get the information, and find out what you know and what you dont. 7. compass. this is another one that is both pro and con. yes, now i know exactly where to go. dont have to spend an hour (yes, literally took me an hour to find some obscure cave once in morrowind) looking for a small door in a huge landscape. bad? first quest, take "something" to "someone" (so early in the game it cant really be a spoiler, but wont say just in case). get out of starting area, find the red arrow, turned that way, clicked on the map to fast travel there, followed arrow straight to the person. this is one of those cater to the masses things, make it so that you dont even have to think about what you were doing. the first five minutes of my life outside of the underground was totally thoughtless, just missed the excitement of starting anew. over all? definently going to be a very good game. im definently going to have to get a video card though so i can actually play normally, graphics are still a lot worse than morrowinds on my computer.

just got my 14 disc planet of the apes ultimate collectors edition in the mail today. havent opened up the box yet, will after work tonight. my sister just bought a digital camera, so you may see me bump up the dvd collection pics topic tonight also :D EDIT: friend called up, said he would return some borrowed movies this thursday. will post pics of my collection then. until then, my ultimate dvd collection of planet of the apes :D (warning: first time i ever really used a digital camera. had no idea what i was doing, thats why the pictures suck. i pointed and clicked :lol: . just found out imageshack doesnt host files over one meg, so i am going into paint, stretching 75% so they will be 1/4th smaller, or something.) taking out of the box it was shipped in a certificate, number 7964 out of 10000. never had something numbered before, good enough for me! head bust came in styraphome, it had a nice and comfy ride. um, where are the dvds? haha, there they are. tried to get the angle to show it is a thick box, like 3 regular cd cases stacked on top of each other. all 14 discs are there :D

up until this last weekend i would have said upgrade your computer. adding a new motherboard, processor, ram and video card has been more of a pain than i have ever had before with computers. it kind of sucks, because i dont plan on ever upgrading again, and i like computers over consoles. pretty much means i have to buy a new computer everytime. if you think you will be ok upgrading it, or can have someone else do it for you, i think that would be the best way to go.

was sw the one that was male, that he told everyone he was female as an expirement? i know someone did that, and it really pissed everyone off. i never knew he was supposed to be female, from his posts i always gathered he was male.
