  1. Are you kidding? Your post was full of pretentiousness.

Most of the people I've talked to about it mostly just complain about the extra cost of 3D in some theaters, I have heard from most on the Internet that 3D is necessary but not anything from people about it. Also from people I've talked too (a mix of seeing it in 3D and not) there is a pretty good inverse correlation between how good you thought the movie was and how many video games you play; people who play little to no video games thought it was amazing while those of us who play a decent amount were less impressed.

There is no difference in HDMI cables. The Microsoft one won't help you any. Check the obvious things first like if the cable is plugged in all the way, the TV is on the right station, ect... Which I am sure you have done a few times but it doesn't hurt once more. If that doesn't work you might have to play around with the settings on the TV or on the 360. Everytime my friend brings over his 360 we have to do a series of steps to get it to display on my TV which is only 720p, since the other TV he has it hooked up to is 1080p. Also I generally have to change my zoom setting on my TV for it to look right. The 360 should have come with a component/composite dual purpose cable. Hook it up via both, and have the selector on standard. Then in your settings set it to 720p for now, turn it off, hit the selector to HD which means you have to switch to your component input on your TV. If it works it means your TV can handle getting analog HD signals from the 360 just fine. Turn it off, hook up via the HDMI cable but leave the component plugged in (you can unhook the video composite cable if you want). Turn on your TV to your component station (which it still should be on), then see if the 360 has an option change your output to HDMI, if so choose that and then switch to your HDMI station and see if it works. If it does then you can choose to put it up to 1080p or whatever the max is your TV can handle. That's just what I would do if I was having that problem, I've never dealt with an HDMI cable for the 360 though so I don't know what kind of display options you have.
  4. You can play most things with any computer you have as long as you are willing to lower the settings enough.
  5. It was kind of cool seeing usernames I haven't seen in years, a lot of those people were regular posters back then. Also, holy crap 2005 was five years ago, that is crazy. I guess it's officially five years since I played runescape also.
  6. I like him more in small parts (see Stardust). I was not too much of a fan of Extras, there were funny parts but it is still one of the few series I started and never finished. Another one was the UK version of The Office. That was just correlation not causation.
  7. Hard to gauge since I am mostly a computer gamer, and whether or not a PC should count to the total is debatable, since it can be used for so much other stuff. I did spend a little over a $1,000 just to have a nice computer when Oblivion came out. Random purchases/upgrades before and after that probably add up to at least another $1,500. Then I've had many different consoles, but usually only a few years after they are out. I did buy a Wii bundle for around $500 when it was fairly new and just bought a PS3 in the summer for $350. I think I paid $30 for my PS1 which I still have. Then at some point I had a GameCube which I don't remember exactly what buying and selling price was but I remember losing about $50, same with an x-box I lost about $50, and then I still have my Sega Nomad which cost around $30. Probably spent around $100 on PS1 games, $100 on GC, don't think I ever got another regular x-box game other than KotoR which I got it with, about $100 on PS3 games, about $300 on PC games and around $200 on random peripherals for all the systems.
  8. The TV is definitely the most important part so you should definitely focus on that first, but once you have a nice TV and see a good looking movie (like The Fall) on blu-ray then you might get more excited for it. DVD quality is good, and on a nice TV + good upconverter even look better, but blu-ray look fantastic. The PS3 is the most future proof blu-ray player (it's even going to handle the upcoming 3D profile) also, but you can get a normal blu-ray player for cheaper.
  9. NWN does run on the DnD 3 ruleset, don't know about 3.5 though.
  10. Yeah I think the second one they interviewed was the hottest one.
  11. The 360 I saw also only had 2 USB ports also, but I wasn't looking too hard so maybe not. My friend only had two power cords anyways. EDIT: According to wikipedia they do have 4 USB ports. It doesn't matter with the PS3 anyways since you should be using wireless controllers, and the third party ones are generally AA battery powered.
  12. I don't understand the "4 controllers" part of your post, are you saying the PS3 can't have 4 controllers? Because it can just as easily as the 360. If you really want to play FPS then you should be doing that on your PC, not a console.
  13. Also Ingrid Bergman and Grace Kelley were two of the three I posted (also Audrey Hepburn).

No it worked for me, it was just hell going through the side effects.
  15. There is a KIllzone 2/inFAMOUS bundle, and I don't know about K2 but inFAMOUS is [bleep]ing awesome.
  16. It's Christmas Eve so I am about to watch Die Hard, this will be the first time I use the blu-ray disc even though I bought it half a year ago.

I couldn't figure out that game for a long time. I spent like 2 hours before I finally figured out how to play enough to start the timer. Then I played for like 15 minutes and everything seemed OK but all my merchants I sent somewhere disappeared and I got angry and quit.

Also causes depression, and I didn't think it was legal any more because of that. I had horrible acne since my family has horrible skin. I used accutane which was horrible for me. It caused a pretty deep depression but even worse were the physical effects, my lips were permanently dry for like two years, and my face would often flake from being so dry. It did work though, now I only have usually 2 or 3 pimples on my face and they are usually covered by stubble. It didn't work for my back/shoulders though, there is still quite a few spots back there.

That makes sense for flip cup, but bouncing it in for beer pong is easier than toss (which is why you can swat it)

I've actually never played Kings, just looked it up. It wouldn't work too well with my group since almost half don't drink (drivers) but still usually play the games and the other half pretty much everyone drinks something different (rum, whiskey, vodka, crap beer, good beer). Interesting how each of the other two games you just mentioned (beer pong and flip cup) have a rule that is the exact opposite of what I play (swatting the toss instead of bounce, flipping upside down to right side up instead of right side up to upside down).

Kings is a different game, the circle of cards is the only similarity. In kings you pick up a card, if it is red you drink (or drink twice) and if it black you pass. If it is a king you pour some in the middle cup, the person to draw the fourth king drinks the cup (and usually the game ends). Circle of Death is a lot more complicated, each card does a different thing (for example one of the face cards would start a waterfall, one of the other face cards is for categories, another is for rhymes and another one is for socials)
  22. I agree. After just watching a few Mass Effect 2 trailers, I am extremely looking forward to it. I was previously looking forward to it, but the trailers were completely awesome and now I can't stop thinking about it. Most other games I want to play are already out since I am usually a few months to a year behind on games (with the exception of Bioware and Bethseda games).

It's not most of the time, which is why you usually play with a drink in your hand. We usually don't put much beer in each cup since it is more about the game than the alcohol.
  24. indy500fan replied to Cabbage_Boii's topic in Off-Topic
Well if you don't play with that rule then you aren't worried about the other team getting two in the same cup, and it would happen a lot more. Since we do play with that rule as soon as the first ball makes it in you have to be quick and snatch it before the next person throws.

I don't use Steam but there are some good things on there for fairly cheap.
