  1. Homosexual marriage rights has never been about forcing religions that don't believe in it to do it. That is FUD spread by anti-homosexual marriage activists. I was stating a conditional to what I would agree to. But note that I said union and you said marriage. I also advocate the avoiding of using that word seeing as how it would be a civil union and not a religious marriage. Then again I contemplate now, if gays were given the right to have unions with the same benefits of marriage, they will then lobby for forcing churches and temples to marry them otherwise they'll sue for discrimination. And when ever you use the term discrimination in America unless it pertains to one who is white everyone panics and does whatever the person who pulled the discrimination card said. This is BS? I think not. It happened to the Boy Scouts, something with a gay scout leader I believe and since they advocate against homosexual relationships that booted him, then he sued for discrimination and was court ordered to be allowed back in. Even though one might say its a club with the right to be selective with their members. Yes, you did say marriage in your second paragraph.
  2. This was a private torrent site, and therefore I never used it. It was huge for music back in the day though. I'm glad I didn't use it because there were rumors that the memberlist and IP logs were gained in the raid.

I saw it pop up on the torrent sites but I had no idea what it was. From the name "Archer" I assumed it was about Robin Hood and decided not to check it out (I dislike the way Robin Hood is portrayed in all modern forms [steal from the rich, give to the poor]). However this actually looks interesting. Never watched Frisky Dingo or Sealab but I think I know what they are.

I am assuming you say this because of Elisha Cuthbert, because if you are talking about quality then it hasn't been good since season 1 ended, and season 3 was one of the lowest points.
  6. Safer, healthier, better and easier than alcohol. Also no withdraw symptoms. Plus there are plenty of non-recreational uses for it.
  7. Cool. Sucks to have to wait that long for this season to start again, although it does mean I will have time to completely rewatch the Stargate TV shows and movies before it comes back on.
  8. Just wanted to point out the main three aren't Christainity/Judaism/Islam but rather Christain/Athiest-Agnostic/Judaism, followed by Buddhist and then Islam. Also wanted to point out on this topic that the United States was the first nation to have no official religion.
  9. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/fe/TreatyofTripoli.gif Treaty of Tripoli by John Adams article 11: "As the government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion" If you had ever studied history you would know that most of the people who came here came for religious freedom, the founding fathers were all for religious freedom and absolutely no government/religious crossover. Many of the founding fathers were secularists or deists (believed a higher being created the universe and has not done anything since). EDIT: As soon as I read that part of your post I stopped reading and automatically dismissed the rest of your post as being just as stupid, so I went back and found out I was right. Abortion is in no way murder, is about a woman's right to choose whether or not she wants to have a child. It is generally better if contraception is used and it never comes to a pregnancy, but neither contraception or abortion is murdering anyone. Also I am assuming you don't understand that homosexuality is not a choice, it is just the way the person is, so there is no way that a person can "choose for themselves". Majority rule as long as it doesn't harm others is how it is supposed to work, but here it failed. There is absolutely no harm in allowing gays to get married, there is harm in denying a group of people from the same rights that everyone else has.
  10. It's about your gamer name, hence video game forum.
  11. Oh and today's Boston Globe's The Big Picture was about the earthquake: Link
  12. Do they have casualty estimates yet? My mom said she heard over 100,000 but that seems a little too many to me.
  13. Wow, that is completely wrong (assuming you are talking about the US government). We don't have a democracy specifically because the founding fathers were fearful of the "tyranny of the majority". We have a democratic republic because it helps protect minority rights when the majority doesn't want to give them.

A set ending date is usually better for a series. Also ending while it is still good is also usually better, because after a while it gets old.
  15. I think gay marriage is only legal in like 5 states anyways, I guess if NJ was one of the five then it's only 4 now. Don't quote me on that though. But yeah, banning gays from being married is just stupid. This is a pretty funny video that came out during the prop 8 stuff in Cali last year. Legalizing medical marijuana is a step forward but is not quite there yet.
  16. It's pretty funny at times, I just started and got caught up watching it a few months ago so I saw like 4 seasons straight. So yeah, it is actually getting a little old now and something has to drastically change or they need to set an end date.
  17. 1. Well kind of. Global warming would make many northern countries get colder because the melting ice causing cold air to go south. The globe is still getting warmer on average, so it is global warming. 2. You are right there, even if my number one wasn't right Great Britain having a big snow doesn't disprove global warming at all.
  18. Or maybe you're just unable to comprehend the importance of the point, whereas you consider yourself above the need to learn from the lesson and therefore it is "lame"? It's not nearly as deep as you are making it out to be.

I'm not sure how much they censor movies coming into their country but I've seen some Chinese movies that were never censored and much worse than this.
  20. Aww, Arsenic and Old Lace is one of my favourite older comedies.
  21. I like stuff (I am a consumer [bleep]) but I don't really care what other people think about what I have. I guess I do covet what others have though. So I don't know if the analogy still holds or not. It kind of does except for this part: "Now, if Life is coffee, then the jobs, money and position in society are the cups." since I couldn't give a [bleep] about a nice job, money or position in society.
  22. For some reason the first thing I thought of from the description was also Willow, even though there is no dragon no mage and it starts with W instead of B.
  23. I watch it, I am not going to read this topic since I am not caught up on the newest episodes yet.
  24. Slither - Still hilarious as the first few times I saw it. I'm probably going to listen to the commentary sometime soon too, since it is with James Gunn and Nathan Fillion.

For cables under around 20 feet you will get the same quality from the $1 cables as the $100 cables. In fact, there were no differences between the 6ft $100 monster cable like someone mentioned above and an unwound metal coat hanger with two HDMI heads soldered to the ends. In distances above 20 feet you may have to worry about attenuation. Still, you could get by with a nice $20-$30 cable (which is about as cheap as possible for those lengths).
