  1. The Golden Compass - It was completely awesome. Normally I am annoyed by child actors, I just don't like them. However I wasn't annoyed this time. The majority of the movie follows the book pretty well, obviously cutting out a lot because of time requirements. They really started taking liberties with the last fourth of the movie. Things were out of order, but it really worked out well. But then it just kind of ended. It's like they forgot the last 20 pages of the book. I guess that could be the first part of the next movie. It's an hour later though and I am still confused by it. That's the only complaint I had with it, and as long as we get a second movie that will be a moot point.
  2. invincible != invisible.
  3. Best: Passed my CIW Foundations certification test! Worst: I still have the headache that I've had all week stressing about the test.
  4. LOL at /b/tards who think that rules 1 and 2 mean anything anymore. Everyone knows about it. @rick: Does DW have rules? I never really bothered to check.
  5. SciFi forums - No moderation at all about the creation of new topics. Haven't been there long enough to know much more. Also apparently no sig size limit, which is really annoying.
  6. I thought it was reported because it's spam. We already have a what do you love and a what do you hate thread, why do we need one that is combined and just for one day?
  7. 19 isn't bad at all. That's out of high school age.
  8. As long as all partaking individuals are consenting, and over the age of consent, yes. Not exactly, age of consent in Indiana is 16, you still have to be 18 to be in a porno though.
  9. I started singing that as soon as I read the topic title. That's what I did, lent a friend 35 Santa hats while I took a break playing so he could merchant them. He conveniently got hacked the next day. Oh well, the positive side was I never played RS again. Anyways the point was he lied right to my face, all over in game items. Other people I knew said I should do something about it, but I didn't care enough to.
  10. You have to read more than just the title, this has nothing at all to do with that.
  11. Oh yeah, that was the other one I was trying to remember. At first the theory was he still worked for the company, just because of the way he acted. Everyone then decided that he just sucked at acting. I never thought he worked for the company though. Anyways this weeks graphic novel pretty much disproves that. I didn't really think he was a possibility anyways, but a lot of other people thought so, so there could be something to it. My most expected choice is HRG, my favourite choice would be his not so dead Dad, because that would be awesome.
  12. 50.05% would still be most, but you don't include that. Your statement should be ">50% bash gays". That would include all of "most". Speaking of pointless stuff like greater than signs, I now hate JavaScript and Visual Basic. I am definitely going to fail my certification test Friday.
  13. I did find one thing I hate. Myself, for procrastinating. I have two days more to finish about a half a semesters worth of work. I just started the class last week. I have a Web Development certification exam coming up Friday, and I just started to learn XHTML, CSS and JavaScript when I started this class two weeks ago. So yeah, I am pretty much [bleep]ed.
  14. Someone can have my spot when I leave.
  15. I wasn't a huge fan of Blade Runner, but I was planning on picking up that set. It just looks too damn awesome to pass up. I need to give it another chance anyways, and watch it on TV rather than on the computer where I can be distracted. Roman Holiday could definitely be considered a "girlie" movie, but it is still awesome and one of my favourite romances. Plus she is really hot:
  16. She died and her consciousness became part of the Internet. It was in the online comic. That's what I thought too, now I am not so sure. The press conference was in Texas, and HRG was in California last time we saw him. Other people that it might be: Nathan's dad, who for some reason isn't dead or one of the other 11 that were part of the company. There was a good logical reason for this to be a possibility but I can't remember what it was. Sylar, since he had very similar clothes on and sometimes wears a baseball cap. I don't think he had a reason to do it though. Claude, the invisible man. All he wants to do is be invisible and have people leave him alone. Peter from an alternate future in which Nathan went through with the revelation. He comes back and shoots Nathan, stopping him from saying anything, and knowing that he is right there with him to give him magical blood to revive him.
  17. I thought I read a while ago that Activision was getting close to the size of EA. With this merger they are probably the same or close to it. Means we definitely aren't dealing with a monopoly. You could argue an oligopoly but I think there are enough other studios for it to not be anything.
  18. Normally it's the other way around though. They make a pic that just has normally black text on a white background, but for some reason the background goes transparent and sub black users can't see a thing. I use subBlack, easier on the eyes, didn't like the looks of others, ect...
  19. Hehe, I won that one:
  20. Stress gets to us all eventually. I find bottling it all up and worrying about it later works best.
  21. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End - Alright I guess, not as good the second time around. Wasn't great the first time around either. Kind of entertaining though, and a good one to watch with the whole family.
  22. I'm with Lion, I don't think I hate anything. I dislike driving. I get road rage very badly, and it stresses me out like no other. I dislike people who talk during movies at the cinema. I used to not like it when watching movies at home either, but I got over it. The exception is when they ask me what is going to happen next, that pisses me off a lot. Something recent that I dislike: the embedded flash player on SciFi.com. Had to watch Tin Man on that. Between the ads, poor quality, player problems and missing final chapter I was throughly pissed off.
  23. My grandpa owned a tomato farm back in the hey day. Might have even been in 1978, when they last got a raise. He didn't work for a corporation though. He hired Mexicans (legal) to pick the tomatoes then, so I don't know how much they made. The whole family would come though, and would migrate from farm to farm during different seasons of the year.
  24. Even though everyone agreed stealing is wrong, to save a child's life over the profits of a greedy doctor would be right in the minds of every single person in that classroom. That's the problem with teaching morals in the classroom. They are subjective. I don't agree with every person in that class room, and I wasn't a student who would speak up against something if everyone else had already agreed it was moral. So there may be people who don't agree, but popular opinion would win out.
