  1. I haven't read the book, but the ending of the movie was OK. Not as good as the ending to The Last Man on Earth, but that was changed from the book also apparently. Shoot 'Em Up - Exactly what you would expect from a movie with this title.
  2. It was probably the first thing that popped into your head also, after reading the topic title :D . Oh and I linked to The Clash's version because I love The Clash.
  3. Still haven't gotten around to seeing it yet. Once - I saw a list of the best movies of 2007, and this was number one so I figured I should watch it. Yes, it was pretty great and I enjoyed it. I don't know about number one of the year though. It's kind of a romance movie, kind of a documentary. About an Irish guy and a Czechoslovakian girl, both musicians. I think if you enjoy music a lot you would probably like this movie. Gattaca - Talking about this in OT a few days ago, and I felt like watching it. Awesome SciFi movie. "Dead Like Me" season 1, 2 - This TV show was great. It plays on a cable channel like Showtime or HBO, so I never heard of it before. I couldn't stop watching it, it's what I did the entire weekend. It's odd but cool at first, and after the pilot you would probably be drawn in. The deaths are mostly pretty stupid, which was bad at first, but then you kind of think of it through the characters eyes and it seems fitting. I Am Legend - Still new so I wont say much about it, I would just suggest not reading/watching any of the previous versions before watching this one. It's still really great though.
  4. I enjoyed it. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't watched The Last Man on Earth, which was the 1964 version. The whole time I was comparing it rather than just watching and enjoying the movie. [hide]I think it would have been better if the ending was more like the other movie, the title "I am Legend" doesn't make as much sense in this one. I know movie goers nowadays like happy endings, I think this movie would have been better if it was a lot more tragic.[/hide]
  5. I've cheated quite a bit. Mostly I was on the giving end. Sometimes on the receiving end. Some of them I regret, but some were for pointless things and I didn't feel bad at all.
  6. I've had one. I was in a K-Mart parking lot with my friends, I thought it would be funny to push a shopping cart with my car. I barely nudged it, then decided it was a bad idea. Anyways, cops saw me and decided to pull me over when I left. They searched the car and searched my friend also. We were all clean but they made us come to the police station and called my parents and had them pick me up. I did something stupid, so I understand why they pulled me over. I didn't even get a written warning or anything though. The bad part was what my parents did, they grounded me for four months.
  7. Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots for my nephew, along with a few colouring books + crayons. I went in with another family member on everyone else's gifts, so I don't know what I got them  .
  8. Thinking about how dirty the food could be. I don't really care for eating anywhere but home, but that's mostly cause I don't care for eating in general.
  9. Sadly this time around it didn't help. The film pretty much bombed opening weekend.
  10. Cool stuff, can you play DivX movies on an iPod video then? I don't think iPods play divx encoded videos. I could be wrong though.
  11. Neither have I, this program is pretty much useless to me but I downloaded it because it was free and usually isn't :D .
  12. This allows you to encode videos using the divx codec.
  13. The codec that allows you to play divx movies on the computer has always been free. This isn't about playing movies.
  14. I didn't mention wanting anything this year. Asked my mom if she wanted a list the other day, she said she already got me something. Probably clothes; socks, white under shirts, boxers, things I need. At least I hope. I went Christmas shopping the other day, got some stuff for my nephew. I'm really excited about the Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots game, I always wanted to play that.
  15. Same... I hope it wasn't a hidden cost or anything. #-o Nope. This isn't the first time they have given it away for free. Usually happens about twice a year. Also you can download a 14 day trial version anytime. After 14 days most of it will still work, just the Pro program wont. Also you may have just downloaded the DIVX codec, which is completely free all the time.

If the cops decides its your fault there isn't much you can do. If I am reading the description right, it sounds like it is your fault. Doesn't matter if they were speeding or not. Offer to pay for the car. If they decide not to accept, drop the issue completely. Their insurance will pay for it, and their premium will go up, and they'll stay pissed at you.
  17. When did I say that? Anyways, anyone who can afford it will be able to do it. If at first only the super rich can, then they will be the only ones doing it.
  18. Nope. This program just encodes videos with DIVX. About half of DVD players just support VCD and regular DVDs. The other half support those plus DIVX encoded files. That means you can just burn the movie/TV files you downloaded that were encoded with the DIVX codec to a data DVD, rather than making a video DVD. But you don't need this program to do any of that, you just need a DIVX compliant DVD player.
  19. I'd say because then it wouldn't be better than the others, because everyone would be doing it. Also, what if a few families objected, and had natural embryos, what would happen to those children? You missed the point, I would be choosing the best of the embryos genetic material half of which came from me, other people don't factor into this at all. I don't care if they are better or worse than the other kids.
  20. If any of this helps me then I am all for it. I don't know enough about it though. Same thing with choosing the traits of your child, if it's to the point where we can choose an embryo that is better than the others, why not?
  21. [hide]lol wow. I know he said it not a scam site, but how do you just download and install something but doesn't know what it is?[/hide] I might download it, but first I want to see what it is. How have you not heard of DIVX before? Obviously it's not a scam site. Also, it's LP. He wouldn't link to a scam site. Anyways I just saw the news right before checking these forums, so I already have it installed :D . It's also used to be used to convert movies and then sharing them via p2p. Now it has mostly been replaced by Xvid and now more of h.264. There are cheap DVD players for your TV that can play DIVX encoded movies, so you put 6 on a data DVD, pop it in and you can play them.

You are an idiot. Anyways, I was wondering about this also. I don't have the money for a TV right now, so I am hoping to wait until the next round of TV technology comes out and skip the LCD/Plasma thing altogether. One thing I have noticed is people talking about burn-in on Plasma TVs, if you get a newer one that is pretty much a non-issue.
  23. Meol already did the rest, put them in alphabetical order and added my list to it. That was the last I saw. He just was waiting to post until everyone else got done.
  24. I think you posted way after the 21st page, and hey only archived up to the 21'st page, so they will get to you eventually. How can they forget such an important person :D Yep Meol has the master list and you were on there :D . Only one more set to go, then he'll post it.
