I've always failed at prayer flashing anyway, but having soul slit on for slightly more than 1 tick at a time >>> having it constantly activated. It's not like I ever run out of prayer points while on task...

If you are sure from experience on the salve vs vyre thing I'll take your word. But I've seen a couple random vyrewatch burning guides on the internet that have recommended it. Also it's not as ridiculous a concept as you think. It would totally make sense for the lord of the vampyres to have an artifact that he could use to assert his dominance against other vyres. Not that I'm saying it's true, but it's nowhere near like Canafis selling wolfbanes. :lol:

According to TIF's bestiary, they are. Also the medallion thing was from a post I saw a couple pages back about it increasing damage vs vyres. Probably isn't true.

This makes barrows a lot easier. Knock out a run in 5 mins, ardy cloak to monostary for pray, tele back to barrows and repeat. I got a brassy in about 5 runs after trying it. 200k. Meh. Salve ammy does work against vyrewatch, yes or no? Or does the medallion work better regardless?

Finished Chrono Crusade. It was OK at best, but the ending yanked on my heart strings so hard it almost made me shed a tear. Almost. Actually I was kind of saying to myself at that point, "Really? Another downer ending? [bleep]'s sake" Are there any animes that actually have a happy, non-bittersweet ending?

I'm pretty sure it wasn't there one week ago. That's because RS wasn't working at all on Lion for some strange reason, so I followed a guide on the RSOF to compile the windows client for mac.

Well, I've already got done watching Code Geass AND Hellsing OVA. I have too much time on my hands -.- All I have to say about Hellsing is wow, I didn't know human beings contained that much blood. And at such a high pressure. As for Code Geass: It was a gripping story, and managed to surprise me a few times. And it managed to completely horrify me in what can only be called the biggest "what the [bleep] are you kidding me" plot twist ever. If you've watched it, you know what I'm talking about.

Death Note I and II after watching the anime. Pretty run of the mill adaptation, but the ending surprised me - I loved it. It was much better than the anime's ending.

I started watching Death Note on Hulu yesterday. I made a marathon of it and watched all 37 episodes in two days. Let's just say I didn't like the ending, for various reasons. The main reason?

Not sure if it's been said already, but since the special is 10x attacks, wouldn't that mean up to +400 damage from fero ring? Could be better than claws for kuradal's dungeon if the spec still only takes 50%. Then again definitely not worth 12m for a situationally useful spec for a weapon that is still worse than rapier. If it goes below 1m though I don't see why I wouldn't buy it unless Jamflex made the spec 100% of the bar.

...Let's not go crazy now. If these citadels are anywhere near as customizable as even the Sims, let alone Minecraft's near absolute control of the landscape, I'd be surprised. I hope Jagex can make me eat my words. For once.

Maybe next time they'll give you the katana when you purchase $10 or more in the Jagex store (And $8 more for shipping!), or when you sign up for FunOrb membership, or when you complete some faux survey for one of their partners which is really only a thinly veiled attempt to get your contact information so they can send you a boatload of spam. Whatever it is I don't care. If there isn't an ingame alternative for getting the katana, I'm against it.

Well, how about this: You can buy the stupid katana ingame for 5m gp, or you can get it for free through the promotion. And so it doesn't turn into backdoor RWT, make the vanity items untradable (obviously). The biggest reason I'm opposed to this is because I don't think there should ever be ingame items that aren't acquirable by ingame means. If you can't quest for it or save your rsgp for it, it shouldn't be ingame, period. I wouldn't even mind if they introduced a full fledged cash shop as long as you could also buy the items for ingame currency. I don't want RuneScape to turn into a game like MapleStory where the only people with awesome outfits are the kids whose parents are most easily squeezed for cash.

Do you even know how long I've wanted to have a katana in RuneScape? Quite long. And now the first one they release requires that I basically pay real money to get it? The point is that this runs counter to everything they've stood for in the past. I've always loathed cheap gimmicks like this on the part of other companies; it saddens me to see Jagex sink to that level.

Lol'd OT: [bleep], we're doomed, Jagex is becoming EA. Seriously, I hadn't known their gimmicks had degenerated to cash grabs. The Rune Fest banners were bad enough, but at least those were items that are specifically in reference to that event. Now we have to go out and buy overpriced game cards for membership time we probably don't need or prefer to pay with via credit card to get a cosmetic item that people would actually want?

Someone once told me that they know multiple people that have died from a splinter to the crotch. How did they die from a splinter? Because they were too damned embarrassed and stubborn to go to the doctor about it. So they died. So yeah, death by pure unrestrained stupidity.

I don't see the problem with shifting the purpose of the Burthope Games room to wealth, because as it stands right now it serves no purpose at all. Last time I went there it was completely deserted, and frankly I can see why. If you want to play a spot of chess, checkers or connect four you have many, many different online options for that, or better yet, you can play it with your friends IRL. Playing it in RuneScape is a bit of a novelty - one that quickly wears off. Staking in the the games room might actually bring a bit more skill to the staking world. No matter how good you are at the dual arena in the end it tends to come down to luck, unless you engage in some form of deception like ruleswitching. Can't count the number of people I've seen rise into the billions in wealth only to be cleaned shortly thereafter. On the other hand if you're a total guru at chess, it's unlikely that anyone will be cleaning you out anytime soon, unless you find someone better and are just too stubborn to give up :P

I think I've pretty much thoroughly ruined the impressiveness of any and all pixel art. [hide][/hide] Basically someone made a mod that adds a new type of wool that you can manually set the RGB value on via an interface. This made making pixel art easier from the standpoint that you don't have to replace any color with one of the 16 available colors - you can set exactly the color that something is. But it also made it take a lot longer since finding out and typing in the hex value for each and every pixel is a really damned tedious chore. So I decompiled his mod and I wrote an image importer for it. You type in the file name, set the orientation of the image, and it will go through and set the RGB values of the wool blocks to that of the image at a rate of about 30 pixels a second. He's since incorporated my importer into a new release of his mod, along with his own "image factory" and even a "model factory" thing (no idea how that is supposed to work). I'm thinking about ruining regular pixel art too. Maybe I'll make a "magic wand" item that will open a GUI when you right click a regular wool block, and you can import images that have had their colors converted via a program like photoshop to use 16 specified colors - or maybe I'll figure out a way to determine the closest replacement color for each pixel in the image, somehow. EDIT: I made the mod.

2.5% boost for mining sounds good until you consider that it's a full body suit. Meaning you can't wear varrock armor. Meaning it's only useful for situations where varrock armor dosen't apply, unless somehow 2.5% is marginally better than Varrock armor, which I very much doubt.

Well according to Notch it would be pretty difficult to make an SDK that would satisfy everyone, especially considering people essentially already have access to the source code through projects like MCP. Providing the source code seems like a great option, after all it means mods won't break after every single update. But of course unless some changes are made to the source it will still necessitate things like Mod Loader, unless Notch decides to make Mod Loader functionality official. And yeah I know firsthand what you mean about people not thinking of the modder. On my thread like 95% of the posts are people wondering when my mods will be updated, or asking for certain features or what have you. Yet I haven't received a single donation through PayPal. And then people [bleep] when I start using ad fly. -.- And yet I spent 30+ hours on the hookshot's rope swing functionality alone...
