  1. Ha, looking at that chaos dwarf army, I think I could have easily taken it down without the help of a bunch of trolls. Just deflect range, wear max mage and let rip with ice + blood barrage. Problem solved.
  2. Oh and it looks like torstols have skyrocketed after Nex was announced. Good thing I bought 1500 of them for 36k each hahaha  I'm saving them for bonus exp weekend though.
  3. "Empty Lord"? What kind of alignment is that? Unless he's completely braindead he must have some kind of alignment. Given his track record he seems to fit nicely into lawful evil. I believe what Jagex said was that Zaros wasn't the "God of Evil", not that he wasn't evil.
  4. ...Or you can just be patient instead of clogging the poll with phony votes. At the rate this is going we'll have 1 million votes easy long before Jan 14th, but in any case I doubt they'll call it before Jan 14 just because we broke 1 million.
  5. Divines are obviously in high demand, and corp is hard to kill, so that must be the reason why they're 1b+ street right? Not really. Divine and elysian sigils have a ridiculously low droprate for how hard the corp is. Like 1 in 2000 or something crazy like that. If the droprates on this new boss are anything like the other GWD generals the new items shouldn't be too terribly expensive once a lot of them have come into the game. At least I hope Jagex dosen't make the droprate stupidly low as with the corp...
  6. I hope they bring back the Hati wolf every January. Because if they don't, they've just wasted a bunch of development time on more one off content. As if the lame holiday events weren't bad enough. The new boss sounds really exciting though. You notice how they plan to release that right after the quest that will give us a (better?) gravestone? We're going to need it until someone develops a foolproof method of taking him down. I'm hoping this boss will be truly hard to take down - not like the other weak generals. I'd much rather have a combination of very difficult/uncommon drops than easy/rare as hell drops.
  7. The torstols cost 54m, I forget how much the extremes cost. Torstols are crashing ATM, I bought them for 36k each. They dropped again so the lowest price is 34k, but oh well not that big of a difference.
  8. Finally. Omg 91 fishing suckeddd... Also: Prepared for the next bonus exp weekend, whenever that is. Don't you dare nerf herblore like you did summoning, Jagex :shame: Those nice herbs set me back a cool 54 million. They should be enough to get me to 99 herblore or close.
  9. Because prayer adds to combat level. Nevermind the hypocrisy that just because some other advantages that also don't add to combat are easier to get, they aren't banned. Also nevermind the simple fact that turmoil gives many more combat levels worth of advantage than the combat levels 95 prayer actually adds.
  10. And as soon as you set a bar as to what is too difficult to obtain to be allowed in the wilderness, you'll be having tons of whiners clamoring to have said bar lowered. Yes quests and 80 dung can't be compared to 96 herblore in terms of difficulty, but the underlying principle is exactly the same.
  11. Meh I don't see why they need 1m votes. 580k votes are in currently, 90% are yes, so that means there are already 520k+ yes votes. Even if everyone else votes no, which isn't going to happen by any stretch of the imagination, the yeses would still surpass the nos.
  12. This. But for some reason, kiddies on the forums keep arguing against me saying that chaotics having combat requirements justify it. In that case, make extremes require 80 combats  As others have said, defense needs to be fixed. Like, actually fixed, not some poor excuse of a fix like they just came out with which does almost nothing against dragon claws. But we don't need items being arbitrarily restricted from the wilderness.
  13. It's a daily calculation, so you need to do it every day if you want max resources. And if you have less than 750k in coffers it will take 10% of it. So you won't get as much as you would if you had more in there.
  14. Hmm this has got me wondering. With the return of old staking, I wonder if they'll revamp duel tournaments such that we can start our own tourneys with our own rules and entry cash reqs? That would be epic if we could.
  15. He gives you 15 per task. Personally I just did tasks with kuradal until I had x9 tasks then did lapalok for the 10 bonus. Instant completion right there.
  16. Or just slap an aura on anyone with extremed' stats. That way you can say "omg ext prod no fite" when you see it.
  17. That's a really good point, and something I hadn't even considered. I guess I have a reason to support the old wilderness now rather than proposing full loot simply being introduced to the current PvP system. I haven't been in the clan scene for years, but yeah, I can imagine it being extremely difficult for small clans with only a handful of worlds.
  18. Stopped reading at this. Who said anyone did clues for efficiency? I know full well sticking to the task would be better, I choose not to. The point is that clues ultimately suck for money anyway, so who the hell cares if the old wild makes them slightly harder. Of course, it's only "harder" if you're not paying attention. Revenants will attack you IMMEDIATELY if they're in range of you. Pkers are human beings with reaction times dependent on when they actually see you. So if you see a white dot on the map it's really easy just to log out and switch worlds. And that's if you encounter a pker at all, which most of the time you won't. When the action is spread out over so many worlds, and concentrated mostly on unofficial pk worlds, you really don't see many pkers. I never got killed for a clue pre 2008... and that's back when I thought clues were still worth doing
  19. Now that's just sick... Relax, this isn't RL. We respawn. I wouldn't even consider it "violence" really. You aren't hurting the other person in any way that is even remotely permanent.
  20. This is my biggest concern with the return of the wilderness, and one reason I think they should consider simply bringing full loot to PvP worlds instead, though nowhere near reason enough to vote no to free trade. There IS a lot of sea east of the wilderness though, so that could potentially turn into a huge new addition to the wilderness which could be a non-pvp area where revenants roam, separated by some kind of barrier between the two areas. In that case they wouldn't even have to move Demonheim as it could retain its position on the new landmass.
  21. What the heck are you guys on about, Jagex is just bringing back free trade and the wild, not reverting the game version back to 2007. They're keeping the GE, without price limits. They're keeping gravestones. They're not going to bring back the old randoms. Yes 2007's community was majorly flawed, but so is today's. What's new. All I need to know is free trade = no more godamned junk trading, manipulation clans, and unbuyable items. And full loot pvp might actually bring back some decent profit to pking, which will in turn benefit the whole economy as inevitably all/most skilling products are consumed by PvPers, and more profit = more pvpers = more demand.
  22. Because I don't want annoying pk'ers, rwt'ers, account sellers and beggars. Don't go in the wild or 3 item when you need to, dosen't affect you, dosen't affect you, and ignore list. Or just ignore the yellow text for pity sake.
  23. Short answer yes the economy/game can handle it. And I am willing to bet 2 people will play again for every 1 player that rage quits over free trade/wilderness coming back ...and 75% of the ragequitters will be back in a few weeks. The remaining 25% within a year.
  24. Well I suppose a lot of people are upset because it seems like Jagex wants 90% of the community to be on board with this to go through with it... which obviously isn't going to happen. Trying to get 90% of any community on board with anything is nearly impossible, especially when the average age in the community is ~14-15. Tif's poll seems to indicate that at least 70% ARE for it. Considering that Pkers were in the minority before the update and even now, I think any majority should be enough. Though of course I'm just assuming Jagex wants 90%. I hope they'd settle for a 2/3 majority.
