As someone who did a LOT of pc back in the day, here's hoping this new quest will actually take us into those portals we were so fond of destroying. I always wondered what was in this "void". Seeing as it's a grandmaster, it sounds like that might be the case. :thumbup:

Just finished Epic Battle Fantasy 3 on Newgrounds, got all medals etc. The monsters in the grim reaper area are godamn cheap <_< They're basically just regular enemies at ridiculous levels. Happily, you can just flee from the battles and swipe the treasure anyway :P

Software or no, that Enterprise has got to be one of the most impressive things I've seen in Minecraft. You know, besides the Reichstag and Swedish Parliament buildings. God those were so awesome.

Little something I thought I'd share. Made this with no hacks. It's huge. It's completely unnecessary. It's 100% superfluous. Nobody would ever need so many furnaces. But it looks damn cool, which is why I built it for my new base. I call it the great forge. [hide] [/hide] It's got 9 tiers not including the top, each side having 16 furnaces. So 16 * 9 * 4 = 576. I'm going to enjoy smelting my ore here. Though I'll probably only use the tier in the center since that's the entrance. :-D

Multiplayer. Ambition. Also, redstone and minecart tracks. Yes, making complex circuits like the BCD to 7-segment display circuit I made is pretty pointless as far as game mechanics goes, but some of the things you can make with minecart tracks and redstone circuits are amazing. For example I saw one youtube someone made a system where they'd send a powered minecrt at the bottom of their mine up with a chest in it, and the powered cart would automatically come back with an empty one, and the full one would be up top waiting for you in a loading bay. Also, bear in mind that the game is still in ALPHA. So there are still many more features to be added.

Yeah, that's amazing. I remember my RL friend talking about this game months ago, I was like ya whatever. Just picked up the game a few weeks ago and now all of the sudden its popularity is exploding. :blink: Hell just today I saw like 3-4 guys at the college campus playing on their laptops. It's nice to see a level headed indie dev getting what he deserves. Way better than some of the [cabbage] being pumped out these days. <_<

My, you're a brave one. FYI, easy mode is glitched in Alpha atm. Yes you take less damage and do more damage, but mobs spawn in freakin' HORDES, man. There are a lot less mobs on normal and hard mode. Oh and yes mobs can spawn in caves. In fact, mobs will spawn anywhere where there is no light, including in your base, even during the day, if it isn't well lit. Torches are your best friend :thumbup:

OK, notch has GOT to add a biome like this. Made with MC Mapdeleter, which is a program that can delete chunks from the world... and also generate pine forests, for some reason. K, well after reading my post again I guess I am being a bit unfair to 4chan. After all it was likely mostly /b/tards involved, and, seeing as when they organize crap like this they usually take it to IRC, it's possible members of other forums were involved in the "raid" that happened when I was on, not just /b/. Anyway. Little story to tell. So I decided after my hyrule castle exterior model was demolished to make the interior in Alpha, so I use MCEdit to create a massive block of dirt in the middle of the ocean. I barely had the outline of the first room done when night fell, and I continued working. Then suddenly, I started seeing figures appear on the horizon... and more... and more. So before I know it I'm surrounded by a TON of zombies, skeletons, creepers, and spiders. I honestly wasn't expecting them to spawn on something I had hacked into the game, so I was a bit surprised lol. That and I have never seen that many mobs in one place. It's like I created a hotbox for mobs.

Oh yeah, like I have no idea what the hell I'm talking about. I'm just assuming it's 4chan. Like my friend didn't direct me to a thread on 4chan about minecraft which is about when this [cabbage] started happening. I'm not talking about a few griefers here and there, I'm talking [bleep]ing dozens. At the same time. Oh yeah and they actually said it themselves that they were from /b/. So yeah. .

*sigh* It used to be fun on freebuild servers, but then guess what happened. Yeah, that's right, 4chan happened. So of course they destroy, and deface with swastikas and penises. But nothing else of course, those [developmentally delayed]s have literally nothing else in their arsenal. I spent a couple hours constructing the exterior of hyrule castle from link to the past but I didn't even get a screenshot before like 4 of those bastards swarmed me. Classic build servers need a way of barring people who haven't bought the game. If a paid account gets banned at least then it would be hard to grief again. You can only beg your parents so much before they say stfu, after all... :)

Firecape for ice strykewyrms was just stupid, but sorry it just makes sense for Karamja elites. After all you need to kill a Ket-Zek for the hard diary, so it follows that the elite would require Jad. By the way anyone know what the hell the deal is with the Varrock diary where it says you have to make a Dagon'Hai's mind control spell backfire? NO idea what the hell that is talking about.

Man, that took a while... Takes like 3-5 seconds to update lol. I found another guy who did this on YT, and his circuit was much smaller... may be because mine has a blanker, his probably didn't.

Wait, dragon like enemies? I thought there were only skeletons, spiders, zombies, and slimes right now. Maybe one of the secret updates? Anyway I don't have a whole lot of time to play this game so when I do I mostly hax. Currently building a BCD to 7 segment LED display circuit, using INVedit and MCedit to help (really, really CBA to clear a huge space for the circuit manually). I'll post when I'm done, should be epic :thumbup: Maybe next I'll build a calculator, though that sounds really damned scary. The above mentioned circuit is massive and complicated enough. And if anyone ever does build a calculator, it will probably be really slow because of all the repeater delays... crossing my fingers that Notch will eventually release a wire variant (maybe redstone in a glass tube) that travels farther. And ofc wires that go up walls <_<

No, that would be stupid considering how horribly water works in Alpha atm. Would be one thing if it still worked anything like it did in Classic. I'll give you a hint: it brought my CPU to its knees. Oh yeah, and for good measure the whole circuit is attached to an RS NOR latch, so once you flip the switch the front door seals shut permanently. Redstone torch won't save you :wink:

LOL +120 is exactly what I was thinking it should have been in the first place. The initial decision to make it +100 was well and truly [developmentally delayed]ed. I mean, a Jmod has already more or less confirmed that a dragon crossbow will be coming eventually; they're simply waiting for an appropriate boss to release it with. What did they plan on making the stats of that one, +95? :rolleyes: Ah well, glad they finally came to their senses, if this is true.

If they PLANNED to release it in Wednsday, it sure as hell would have been nice if they would tell us that on Monday so we aren't constantly checking the frontpage in anticipation of an update we are looking forward to. Yeah some kids would rage if that plan didn't pan out because they would assume it was a promise but meh, they rage anyway so who the hell cares.

Yep. Since this is an update everyone actually wants Jamflex will delay it day by day until they eventually say hey have to delay it until next week for the lols, they do the same thing next week until they finally release it on thursday, then everyone finds out the update is actually kinda meh anyway and oh, did I mention several game breaking bugs to sweeten the deal? :thumbsup: [/cynic mode] But in all seriosness this does sometimes get a bit frustrating.
