  1. Well smithing Adamant Plate Bodies is between 200k and 250k xp/hr (more if you use SC Hammers) and it's quite a popular method of training smithing nowadays so that's most likely how it's done. That being said it's a pretty expensive way of going about it.
  2. Ok thank you, is there a fast way to get crims other than bursting or waterfiends? If you have money to burn, cannoning Black Demons is a pretty good way of collecting crimson charms and you get the odd effigy drop thrown in there every now and then. Other than that Slayer is a good way and do Bork daily too.
  3. It's painfully slow and really not worth doing unless you really love Temple Trekking. I have heard you only get around 20-30 Talon Beast Charms per hour so it would take you around 100 hours to get what you need :P
  4. This. I have my laptop hooked up to a TV ariel socket so on my laptop screen I have Runescape running and on my second monitor I have TV on (although in a few months I wont be able to do this anymore), usually watching music channels or repeats of Friends/Scrubs/Top Gear. I'll run through my usual haunts on the internet too if it's a more afkable method of training I'm doing.
  5. Interesting quest, pretty straight forward with ok rewards (can't complain about free xp). The Boss was easier than I expected when I killed him in 3 hits, though I guess that's the perks of extreme pots |^_^| New emotes are always fun too, though the rock is pretty heavy so I wont be carrying it around much :P
  6. Well the news announcement doesn't give a lot away, sounds interesting though. I was quite worried I wouldn't have the mining requirement but thankfully I do :P
  7. Haha oops thanks for catching that :P
  8. Yay Mdeo! Took you long enough, congratulations! Well done Omnitec too.
  9. Congratulations! Very well deserved :-)
  10. Hello Crewbies! I was scanning the Thieving Guide the other day and noticed you didn't have any information on the new Monkey Knife Fighters. Name: Monkey Knife Fighter Location: Ape Atol Requirements: 70 Thieving and the completion of the 'Do No Evil' quest. You have to be using a Gorilla Greegree in order to steal from them. XP: 20 thieving xp for knocking the monkey unconscious and 150 thieving xp for pickpocketing. Loot: 1-50gp, Mithril, Adamant, Rune and Dragon Scimitars, 1-10 Black Knives, 1 Black Knife (P), 1 Black Knife (P+), 1 Black Knife (P++) and Lobsters. Edit: Fixed the item list with ForsakenMage's corrections. I've had all those as drops with the exception of the Dragon Scimitar but a friend has confirmed you can get them but they're very rare. Hope this helps!
  11. Use an empty vial on it. It requires the Herblore skill.
  12. You shouldn't really be doing Ape Atol until at least 70 although you wont stop failing until 75. Best option if you don't want to use the Wilderness Course is to use the Werewolf one which should give you somewhere around 30k-40k xp/hr I think.
  13. The Tip.It Summoning Planner is pretty good for that you just need to know which pouches you will be making and it will tell you how much xp you will gain, final xp and what level you will finish at. Then you can copy and paste the final xp into their Summoning Calculator and it will tell you how many pouches you will need to reach your next level. http://tip.it/runescape/?page=summoning_planner.htm http://tip.it/runescape/?page=summoning_calc.htm Hope this helps!
  14. I voted for "I don't mind" mainly because I'm used to the game as it is now and quite like it, however I do remember what it was like with Free Trade and the Wilderness and my reaction to its removal so I don't completely oppose it coming back :P I will be interested to see what gets moved around, I guess the ZMI Altar will be used more since the Abyss will be dangerous again. Also will PKers lurk outside the CTs and Corp Lair? What will happen to the Wilderness Penguins too? I guess when they do bring it back there will be some constant tweaking for the few weeks following its reintroduction.
  15. Their appearance is based off how many quest points you have and how much exp you've gained. Those with a high amount of quest points can gain more exp before getting a random event and those with not so many will get them more often. As far as I know there haven't been any changes to it recently.
  16. I wondered that too, it makes it look like a 'Fable-esque' RPG and usually gaming companies put "not actual gameplay footage" for something like that. Looks like we can expect undead dragons in the future though, could be interesting.
  17. In the screenshot Gremmy provided of Mod Mark discussing it he says Chaotic items will be available by other means, I'm curious as to what these other means might be
  18. It doesn't have a hard time running Runescape. Anyway these are my settings, CPU usually sits in the low 70s and fans vary between 2500 and 4000 rpm (will go higher if I'm in a busy spot like the GE). [hide][/hide]
  19. It also tells you to create an account and vote if you don't have one and it has links to all the major social networking sites. I'm starting to think this is more of a publicity stunt than anything else or Jagex really didn't think the poll through. Don't get me wrong I'm all for a poll about it, but in this format it's somewhat unfair.
  20. Yea I don't like that either, especially combined with the fact you seemingly can vote on behalf of other accounts. So I guess unless they match accounts with IPs when votes are placed even if you choose not to vote someone will vote for you
  21. Wow I'm actually surprised they're going through with this. Not really sure if I will vote, I'd like free trade back but I do like the Wilderness as it is now however I can see why people would want it back. This is a step in the right direction though, and it shows that after almost 4 years they have decided to listen to their player base
  22. The USD is used across the globe for trade and economics. Anyway I think this is pretty cool, I'd be pretty happy with $1,000 :P
  23. Wasn't that used for a cutscene in WGS? It looks vaguely familiar.
  24. Assuming you're on a Mac it was a bug that came about with the update to Mac OS 10.6.5. Jagex are aware of it and have been working on a fix, however it is likely you will just have to sit tight until Apple release 10.6.6 (which was released to developers earlier this month I think). Try playing in software mode, that fixed it for me. Hope this helps.
  25. That's a bug, happens when you update to 10.6.5. Jagex are working on a fix for it, though it's more likely we will have to wait for Apple to fix it.
