my last minute trades were earlier this week, in the form of buying products such as iron knives and willow logs that sell for considerably less on forums then the GE possilby allows willows 15 ea GE price is min 22. iron knives 20 ea, ge price 31 ea. it was a nice forced profit.

The fact that you're untouchable has more to do with your stats than your equipment. You could easily do the same wearing Karil. Besides, you can't say you're invincible to magic if you're comparing to bursters. By "save" I mean not being frozen at all. Even if one barrage slips by your defense, if you've got 20 people chasing you, it'll be hard to survive without using a massive amount of food. In other words, I don't care about the magic damage that barrage causes, rather the freeze. +16 magic def is the difference between black d'hide body and Karil body. :-k. Try wearing the two and comparing. for karils vs dhide, i have. i typically wear dhide as it does not degrade. i dont honestly like the look of armadyl nor do i fight enough mages or try to slip by them for the degrading armor factor to be a reason to use it. but that "save" no, the way you stated it was as if magic was going to kill you, or so how i understood it. but okay, yes generalyl 20 people on you and a 20sec freeze can be detrimental. thats rare for a freeze to hit on armadyl. but, it does and in the case it does, melee prayer really saves you. its the spears that are more hurtful then any mage spell. anyway, if you get down to it, that 16 def might just actually be the only thing saving you in CW if your a flag scorer. 1 slip up by a good mage can spell disaster for CW games. that armadyl armor and a barricade could spell a 10-0 winning game for you. but anyway, i still think your idea of armadyl not saving you against a 99 mage is at all accurate. even if their is 20 melees following you.

+16 defense won't save you from a level 99 barrager, let's just put it that way :( +8 Ranged attack can be made up by using Ranger boots or Archer Ring. Heck, with the 40M you're paying, even using diamond(e) 100% of the time seems reasonable. That's a rather bizarre counterargument... ranger boots and archer rings can be used *with* the Armadyl armor. That's the entire point. Thanks for the other replies too! not only that, but the barrager statement is clearly over exagerated. you stated you dont have 94 magic, and yet you think that the 16magic def wont save you? the fact is, armadyl armor is close to un-mageable. and you say "wont save you" define save? mages rarely are on the winning side of a fight. at least when i see it, they just simply are larger targets and are more focused upon, and really unless the person matches my stats nearly exactly its rarely close, people to easily rely on the freeze to not die, then all the sudden they are shocked when a bow is used? im not sure about you, but the mages i fight and see on literally, a daily basis are not a threat if you were to go watch castle wars on w24 you will see several players wearing armadyl armor, some score the flag some are true rangers. but the thing about them is, they are so rarely frozen hell... even with tassets and armadyl plate on i my self am untouchable to most common mages in cw(them being the standard mages or ice burster's). now i do agree the armor is clearly over prices, i prefer ranging in my void range gear, i was disappointed heavily in armadyl armor when i owned it. but, some of it does prove useful, take for example the helmet. i would wear that @ gwd and wear a bunch of other random stuff so i can maximize my range attack and decrease my attackers.

Well couldn't we put it off all together? I mean, how are stars really that offensive you've got no idea what's under them. It's like that suggestion I made a while off back with a certain censor for certain words, so you can at least understand the sentence. whats the point? those words will still lead to a abusive tone or something offensive. heres an example using tip.its filter. you might understand it better, but that does not mean that it could or couldnt be used in an even more offensive manner. instead of starred gibberish you get the PG13 version of porno movie. i really could care less if we get a removed or better chat filter or even lessened/harsh punishments. it does what it needs to do, at at least to a point and thats the thing they cant stop every little thing and still have the game be understandable between 2 players. id like for all you who have ever been to a chat room with voice enabled abilities or Xbox live or w/e to just compare that the possibilities to RS and the thousands of people + wierd and crazy unusual stuff. its endless. btw, if jagex could add a chat filter to voice chat and introduce it to the game, id be impressed and laughing at the kids who would get banned for trying to use and abuse it

well, it has gotten some nice updates within the last year? the drink minigame and pp arent bad. i wish it was better then it is. seriously, theiving is something thats not really all that great, sure heres a few coins blah blah blah. but other then a possible convenience on a trip to metal dragons its not a big deal.

i dont like the chat filter, thats no seceret. but when people are comming here saying filter on/off and all that, really is that going to help? maybe slightly, but for the majority if we could have no consequential punishment for the way we spoke then trust me, the things that are said privately and not on RS would probably horrify younger children. sounds dramatic? ever watch drawn together? thats what runescape would be come, just less funny

Does anyone actually buy dragon spears? I've only ever seen one and the guy holding it said i was a trophy, but then again i didn't know what it was until I asked so may have seen one without knowing... alot of people have them. as for buying, i would assume most have if they plan on keeping it. its a great CW weapon, same for zammy spear on another note how long does it take to get a karmathula ?it took me like half a super set(36mins i believe?) with nothing then i had to go.

i think thats exactly how it will go, i feel summoning is a magic type deal. so it probably will be a flowing robe armor. summoning might also be a strange new skill, it could have armor specifically designed for its use, and then have insane negatives to all the other classes.

how is this at all different then our current or previous system? have you ever tried selling buckets of sand? its a [bleep]. the time spent selling now is more valuable, thats why i love this update, now people have to use the ge however at this crucial period, i have found a flaw i call the flaw "the grand entrapment", i could start a topic over it and explain it, infact it has potential to yield great benefits and profits and its something a few have noticed and a few have not. anyway, its going to happen. oh, and you think they made an ignore list and privacy settings for people like me? no, they made it for less social people then me. and for people who require it, take zezima or another top 20 player, his clan chat is crazy full always. the people i speak of that i am social with are friends of mine whom i trust and speak with daily.

I know people will see how bad this is, It will just take time if nothing else. The restrictions they have put on it are far to drastic and it makes the game hard to play as a social group. I really have no clue what TET will do. Now they you cant give prizes and you cant sell people for time to give prizes away. Its leave a huge hole in the social workings of the game. The economic hit it gives inside runescape is also very drastic, making you put full faith into the GE even tho its new and has done far from prove itself. what about those whom socialize without giving away items? i sure as hell do that, people ask me for [cabbage] all the time, im like i dont got it. i might lie about it but i just dont like not having my stuff at all times, its not fear of being ripped off. its the inconvenience of wanting to do this, when i want to do it with my stuff and not have to rely on my friends to be online, or have the $ to fix my [cabbage], such as barrows armor. as for the bolded part, what the hell are you talking about far from prove its self? its prooving its self EVERY DAY. it works, i would LOVE for someone to reasonably explain to me how the GE has suddenly killed your account where from this point on you cannot recover. i met some guy on the RSOF, he claimed to be a businessman who had a company about to turn a 250k profit, yet he did not understand why the GE led to decline in prices of black dragonhide sets. then went on to tell me something he knew nothing about, how that companies never under sell their products at below cost to drive out other competitors. it happened, happens and will continue to happen. people just come on, be realistic, if your going to complain just take it slow. the GE is now a living market, its like a puppy a few weeks ago, new pissed all over your carpet and kept you up at night. now its like a dog, working good and eating its dog food and going outside when its gotta piss. what we used to have is a ragdoll, inflated/deflated by puppet masters. sure the 3k trade limit is not the best, but it works. it has worked for other games and still is working for those games. heres an example, my friend i know in real life made me 100k iron knives to get him like 15 smithing levels. he gave them back afterwards. with the assist system and trade update i cant do that? well, hey too bad so sad. i bet this is the same exact stuff people said when they gave this game a chat filter. its ruined oh noes cant plays now more "pay2say" riots... the game will go on.

i would expect better from a player claiming to be a long time member/player.
