What reputation would that be by the way. I voice my opinion, you are doing the same. So I am getting a reputation for having my own opinion that is not the same as yours?

Lol I am on my second main with 1724 skill total. This is my second main. pfftt...gtfo

Do you really need that cape on to sit at the bank booth crafting or fletching. You like the attention, or you would bank it. Don't lie This is why, people love the attention, then turn around and talk about how annoyed they are. Perfect example of why I don't like them
-
What I don't like about Skill Capes. First off, I have never once asked someone to do an emote for me. Secondly, players act like it annoys the hell out of them to be asked, then the next thing you know, you see them doing the emote endlessly like the true attention [bleep] they really are. I don't mind seeing the emotes, it is like anything though. After you do it once or twice then carry on. I was pick-pocketing the master farmer the other day and two people came up and started doing the quest cape emote. (which in my opinion is the coolest skill cape emote there is) They just kept doing it, and it really started to annoy me. I didn't say anything, cause I figured they would be like, your just jealous. No, I am not jealous, I am about to have an epileptic siezure, and I' not even epeleptic,

Give me Torags over Dragon armor any day of the week. Torags is around a million gold. Dragon is around 8 to 10 million. (Just an effin guess, can't be assed to look it up. So I don't wanna hear some freak going "OMG its this yada yada amount) I repaired my Torags a couple of days ago, and it cost me approximately 150k. You get approximately 15 hours of combat. Let's see, that means I get around 800 hours of combat before it approaches the cost of Dragon at 8 mill. Hmmm...Torags is better than Dragon, looks cooler, I get an [wagon] load of combat time before it approaches the cost of Dragon, and the cost is deferred over time making it easier to afford.. What were you [bleep]in about again?

Don't lie, you live for the rants.

I strongly dis-like any random while in combat. Especially if it is against a tough monster that is gonna take you longer to kill than the random will allow you. Edit: I remember seeing bots training combat, especially in the RSC days. but seriously, who would set up a bot while fighting Steel Dragons?

I remember certing yew logs. That's five logs, and a cert of yew logs going for 1k. And then hearing people piss and moan about yew logs only going for 300 each, and you could note em. Well I had to run to the certer in Ardougne, then bank them, and they were only going for 200 each log. I remember when a Rune two hander went for a cool mil. Yep, rune two handers were 1 million at one time. The other day I was at the barrier gate at Port Phasmatys trying to enter the city. A guy asked me a question and I honestly did not notice. He proceeded to tell me what a high level arrogant sob I was and how I thought I was better. I told this guy, sorry, I honestly did not notice. And I proceeded to tell him how I would have helped him had he not handled me the way he did. But since he felt the need to tell me what an arrogant sob I was, i did not feel the need to help him. I am quick to act the same way people act to me. I don't mind helping some one out, telling them where something is, or how to do something. But my attitude changes quick. You handle me rough, I feel no need to be helpful to you. Sometimes you just need to stop and think, just because someone is playing, and they may actually be sitting at the computer playing as I was. Does not mean they notice every little detail of what is going on at the moment. Edit: I by no means think I am better than a newer player. But yes, older players usually have learned a little something. For example, and I realize this is by no means ownness or awsomeness. But I let my membership lapse for two days, and I made a new account for kicks and giggles. In two days I had 302 skill total, and this was by no means two of my better playing days. I had full black and a power ammy, might I add they have drastically dropped in price, and I had 40 crafting and 31 smithing. I didn't make one single stinkin piece of pottery either. I remember when 500 skill total on f2p was a pretty high milestone. I remember when it seemed hard to get full black and a power ammy. Nowadays it is nothing. But that comes from the experience and the market of today has a certain role. The game was harder. I do miss being able to power mine like you could in the day on RSC though. You could have a full inventory, lets say of iron ore, and you could sit there at the iron rocks and keep mining. With a full inventory you could still mine, the ores would just fall on the ground. Some things were easier, but some of these older players might have learned a little something, and depending on how they are treated, might just depend on how many little tips and tricks of the trade they are willing to let slip past their little pixilated lips?

Item lending...just one more reason to have to utilize the ignore list. Golly geez....thanks Jagex

I read most, not all of your post. I was thinking almost the same thing, I think? Kinda just a thought though I came up with. Never played WoW, and know nothing about it. I have of course heard of it. I think this is what you are getting at, and basically what I was thinking of. Make it where the wilderness is still open for pking? Make it so you can't get drops from a player in the wild. If you win a wildy match you get points that can be redeemed for rewards. This is about what I was thinking, and am thinking this is what you are getting at? I love the idea! And would still stop the rwt problem in the wild. But I say get rid of the mean ol revenants, seeing as how a lot of the wild is multi-combat. Do you really wanna have to deal with them while fighting against another player?

lol, I got called a noob the other day by a low level in Dragon armour because I was wearing rune. I basically keep three sets or armor. Torags for when I really need the high defense value it provides, Rune when I don't need all that defense value, but still need decent armor, and Proselyte for when I am going to be using prayer like it is going out of style. Keep in mind, I have very high skill total. I personally think dragon is over priced, torags is better. And I hear the argument about having to pay to repair it. Yeah, but you realize how many hours of combat you have before it begins to approach the price of dragon? And then the discount for smithing and having your own repair stand. And then you have the fact it is deferred over time as opposed to having to pay the high sum all at once. Torags owns Dragon any day of the week. Out of curiosity, I look this guy up in hi-scores. Imagine that, the only thing he is even ranked in is defense, and it is only at 60. Some peoples children. I guess this guy went and got his defense to 60 just so he could go around calling people noobs. And how the hell does someone afford full dragon armor with no skills. Makes one wonder.

Wait a minute, wasn't Hitler killed, or at least never to be found again? Edit: Death From Above, whose the strongest Country? Not trying to start a whole nother flame fest, maybe just a little humor, that is all.

So that basically leaves two sites besides RuneScape.com? FunOrb and Jagex.com.

I have nothing at all against so called level 3 skillers. But wait, combat related stats can't be considered skills? I have a couple of level 3 skillers myself. And they all have some somewhat impressive stats. I quit playing them though. I am always to tempted to fight things. Here is my big problem with level 3 skillers. I won,t lift a finger to help them because they may be in a situation where it would cause them to have to use combat. Tough deal with it. You work so hard to stay level three with impressive stats, then deal with the tough situations. Afterall, isn't that the whole point. To prove how hard you worked to get these stats while staying a little wussy level? And why should I quit what I am doing to help you, because to you being level three is so glamorous? Am I an [wagon], or am I just helping you to be really proud at how hard you work to remain a level 3. I could go on and on, but I think most should get the jist of what I am saying? By the way. I have two accounts that are both over level 100 combat, and I consider both accounts skiller accounts. To me, that is a true skiller. Someone who seeks to make all stats as sweet as possible. Not just some stats.

Some what off-topic, but I was wondering if it is an offense to refer someone to tip-it. I don't, but at times would like to. Seeing as how it is such a helpful site for the game. I mean honestly, tip-iters almost have an unfair advantage over players who do not know about fan sites for the game. I usually just tell people to Google Runescape fan site though. But this is not the only one, but usually comes up first, at leas for me.

Good thread, I agree with pretty much all you said. Sometimes it just helps to be able to go somewhere and [bleep]. You may not even be looking for answers, just need to blow off steam.

Yep, I believe it is Cabin Fever you have to do to be able to access the dungeon on Mos Le Harmless, or to be able to go to Mos Le Harmless period. Or at least started to get to Mos Le Harmless.

How rare a drop is the Black Mask. Just got 58 Slayer, and would like to get a Black Mask. Thing is, I really don't want to waste a lot of time trying to get it when I could be actually working on a Slayer Task to get to 59 for Back to My Roots quest. Thanks for any help in advance. Peace

I am just assuming the reason it is better than before for you (and I am completely assuming) is that maybe before you were using low detail? Now there is not the option to run low detail. Not considering HD. Before that ever came along, contrary to popular belief, RS actually rendered better in high detail, hence less lag in high detail. The reason is, it is meant to render in high detail. In low detail, it actually had to remove some graphic detail, thus actually increasing the problem with lag. High detail wasn't adding to, low detail was taking away, if you get my drift. But as I mentioned, problem solved. Peace

When I use a special on a weapon, and then switch over to another weapon, its special bar is also used up even though I never used a special on it. This didn't used to happen to me. And I know it isn't me thinking I didn't. I have observed it numerous times today. so it isn't me accidentally using the special on the other weapon thinking I didn't. Or am I dreaming that it didn't used to use the special on a un-wielded weapon when you used it on the weapon you are wielding?

Well, maybe in their world, they cannot discuss an issue without it being a rant. In my world, I can discuss an issue without it being a rant. Problem solved. I am a Linux user, therefore restarting my computer usually does not cross my mind. I have not turned off or restarted my computer in over a year. Usually the only time it gets restarted is during a power failure. Anywho, I got to thinking, maybe I will just restart it like all those Windows users do sometimes to solve little issues like this. Wa-la, it worked!!! Peace

I am not ranting. I am simply stating the the game play experience I have had lately, and asking others if they are having the same problem. Seeing as how it started after the last two updates. And over the Internet, you suggest what I should do with my computer like you are some kind of Guru with a magic ball and know what is wrong with my computer. I guess having gone through a CISCO Academy and numerous other Computer Networking and Security courses I have no clue about computers. GTFOH Peace

Sorry if there is a thread about this already, but I have searched and cannot find one. Not sure if this is the correct forum, and I am not really ranting, although I am starting to get a wee bit frustrated. Ever since the last two updates, the ones where they gave a ten minute warning (I do by the way really like the extra time they are now giving, actually gives you time to tie up loose ends if you are doing something that is somewhat time intensive and can't just drop what you are doing at the drop of a hat) the game has become almost un-playable for me. And I am pretty sure it is not my computer. I have plenty of processor and memory, in fact, overkill for what is needed to play. And I have broadband Internet. I am still having this problem to this moment. I figure it is from so many people downloading the updates, and I am guessing they are bigger than the usual updates. I can be playing, and the game just locks up. I have to hit the home button, reload, and log in again. I quit Temple Building because I got tired of losing my sanctity. It happened quite a few times on Slayer Assignments when I have been fighting Greater Demons and Iron Dragons. And you can Imagine how this makes me feel when that happens. Especially at the Dragons. Is it just me, or is this a problem with a lot of you other players? If this is the case, maybe a dedicated server for downloading updates? I would rather have to take longer to download updates than for it to be affecting my game play for so long!!! Peace
-
Heres a wild and crazy idea. Download the world map from the RuneScape site like I did eons ago, and just have it in another window if you need to refer to it. WOW!!!! Oh hell, my bad. I geuss that would be to damn inconvenient.

Not flaming, and don't take this the wrong way. But with mage and range, you also can fight in a lot of places under some kind of cover, and strike from a distance. With melee, you have to be up close and personal regardless, unless you use a halbred or something similar, and I personally hate these types of weapons. But anywho, with melee, you pretty much have to take hits, where with range and mage, you sometimes can hide and take a lot less hits. Sorry if this sounds stupid, but it is just kinda my opinion on it. Peace
