  1. How much does each item cost. How many of each item do you need. Most computers have a calculator. I hate to sound this way, but honestly. This really is a simple math problem. I ask a lot of questions, Lord knows I do. But can you not figure this out on your own.
  2. I haven't messed with them in a while, but... I used to make combat potions for a while. I got the goat horns myself and paid for a lot of the Harralander herbs. I forgot what level I was and what level I did it to. I sold a bunch to make some money back, and I have a bunch in my bank. And it is not a bad pot. Actually a pretty nice potion to have if you ask me. Just an option I thought I would throw at ya. You get some combat experience to if you are more interested in training it some. I had the enchanted tiara too, so to me that made it more bearable than dealing with waterskins. The farming route is a pretty good choice as it is the one I am mostly using at the moment. Edit: I also killed a lot of extra goats and sold extra horns to make up for my loss. I am one of those who can't stand to lose money at anything. But that just depends on what type of player you are and how you go about doing things. Goat horns (at least used to) sell for a pretty good price, and back when I was selling them they moved quick enough.
  3. How long does it take you to get from bank to tanner back to bank. I figure you figure that up, then use a little bit of multiplication. Such as how many hides you plan on doing total. Divide that by the amount you take each trip. Time it takes to make the tanning run and multiply that by the amount of runs you are going to do. That should give you a pretty close estimate of how much time you would save I would think. Then you figure out the cost difference in the two methods and see weigh the extra cost against time saved.
  4. Worth is relative. Is it worth it to you. You could get half the forum saying it is, and the other half saying it isn't. It is all a matter of time to money spent and it's value to you. Is the extra time saved and being a little faster to get it done quicker worth it to you.
  5. If you would say what it is you have and are trying to sell, what exactly are you wanting to do. Quit being so vague and you may be able to get a little more information from other players.
  6. I am not sure what you are asking now? Sounds like to me you are just trying to unload a bunch of junk. All I can tell you is that if you have something you want to sell either put it on forums or GE. I think the concept of Junk Trading has been decently explained, and is not exactly what you are trying to do. You are just trying to unload a bunch of junk best I can tell. I suppose you could always use your explorer ring and get rid of it 30 items at a time till it is all gone too. Good Luck Edit: Or you could just hold on to your junk if you ever think you may have an item you may want to sell that has a higher street value than GE value. I have never had an item that fits this bill, but there is some things I have been holding on too just in case I ever have to do a junk trade.
  7. I seriously doubt someone will sell you something of any real value for nothing but junk items? Most people do junk trading to sell an item that has a much higher street value than a Grand Exchange vlaue. Because of the trade limits you can only pay so much less or more than what an item is valued at on the Grand Exchange. Thus people add in junk items with the actual item the person is really wanting to buy to make up for this price difference and the trade limit. Example: I am not going to look this up to be exact, so this is just an example and my have changed since last I knew. Say a prayer page book is only selling for max value at 100k on GE. But players are demanding 1 million for it instead of 100k. Seller will throw in a bunch of junk items that make the trade valued at close to 1 million so he can sell the page for 1million. In all actuality he sold his junk and the page for a million, but that is what player had to do to get the million.
  8. If you have done Legends Quest, Legends Guild is a good spot in my opinion. Bank in guild and three yew trees. You will more than likely have them to yourself. And if you don't, one hop is all it usually takes to get them to yourself. Edit: Of course I don't mind sharing as long as the other player is smart enough to cut the same tree.
  9. Do you want a spot where you will have people to hang with, or do you prefer a place where you will more than likely be by yourself?
  10. I have a similar question as I more than likely will be f2p in about 6 days and I have no idea how long it will be before I am member again. Do you have any suggestions on the max amount of money to put in in proportion to approval ratings and it still be worthwhile? I hope this is stated in a way that makes sense. Basically, I don't want to much in. When my money is exhausted, I want it to have been worthwhile as far as my return. I don't want excess money in drawing really lousy returns if you catch my drift. Thanks
  11. Cockroaches actually have a ranged attack, but when I have seen people safe spotting them they were not using the ranged attack. It seems, best I remember, these people were trapping them on an outside corner on the walls. It also looked as if it was taking to much time to do it for it to be a viable training method. At least that is my opinion.
  12. You can safe spot with range, and there is a pretty good guide somewhere on training in the Ice Caves. I looked through AoW and did not notice it there. Is there a certain spot where guides that are not in AoW are tucked away, or are they more or less just scattered through various boards? I found there were at least twice as many safe spots as the guide showed. I personally found it better to just deal with the Ice Warriors and not worry about Ice Giants till they quit auto attacking. That is gonna be the trickiest part, figuring how to block them. It wasn't to difficult for me though. I know you asked about Cockroach Soldiers. I have never tried them because the people I saw doing it looked like it was just to much trouble. Maybe someone knows about the guide for Ice Cave range training and will be kind enough to post a link to it, or you could always search for it I guess. I suppose it is possible it may not exist anymore.
  13. Yep, just checked. Scimitars are currently selling for about 14k over hi-alch value. Squares are only hi-alching for slightly over market. So I would definitely sell the scimitars. I am the type of person who will alch things for less than market value though if market only brings slightly more than what I can alch it for. I feel if people don't want to pay for something, then maybe it needs to be taken off the market for a while.
  14. Cockroach Soldiers sound like a plan to me. You could alch the rune scimitars and squares you will get. Then with all the mith ore you get, you could mine the coal and smelt (I suggest superheat item). You could make that kinda money in several days or so on f2p. And you would be getting experience in a myriad of skills. Edit: The workers also drop Mith Plate Bodies which bring several thousand coins a hi-alch. Soldiers also drop Addy ore, but not like they do mith ore, and they are noted.
  15. I have seen people safe spot them, but it seems like a real pain to do so. You could always train range on Ice Giants and Ice Warriors. There are a ton of safe spots in the Ice Caves or whatever they are called. You know the place there where you get blurite.
  16. Interesting. I have been wondering the same thing for a while. I have about 35k silver bolts I made a long time ago. I made them because I figured it is better than making a bunch of tiaras or holy symbols for crafting since I would have some ranged ammo in the end and none of the others sell for squat on GE, silver bolts included I have come to find. I was thinking of making more when I acquire more silver ore though. I suppose they would make a good junk item? So does anyone know what other bolt they would be comparable too though? I may be wrong, but I figure it is good choice for crafting if you are using silver.
  17. It is pointed at everyone, myself included. I am guilty of doing it as well sometimes. I don't like seeing it, it isn't right when I do it. I am making an effort to quit doing it and I think everyone should. No one likes seeing it. That is why I said to just let it go sometimes. I know sometimes I feel the need to defend myself. Most of the times when I see other people keep going on defending themselves, I don't stop and think, hey you know they are right and its good they went ahead and made that post even if they are right. I am thinking more along the lines of "I wish everyone would quit being childish and get back on topic".
  18. I would like to start off by saying that what I am going to talk about also applies to me. You know the saying, when I point a finger I have three pointing back at me. I am making this suggestion to hopefully make the forums and users, myself included, better members of the tip it community. This is a problem I see a lot, especially in the Help & Advice forums. People posting putting down other people and not even making a valid point in the thread. Putting someone else down does not make you better than someone else. In my opinion it makes you look as bad or worse than them. People continuing to make off topic posts defending their last post. Let it go. I sure don't like it when one of my threads go that way. I don't even like seeing these types of posts in a thread I am just reading and not actually participating in. Even if I am not posting in a thread but just interested in what is said and reading it, I don't like seeing these kinds of posts going on. I think we all should make an effort to stay on topic in threads. Even if someone else makes a post that we may think not be exactly on target it is probably best to let it go most of the time. Unless of course they are continually posting and staying off topic. Posting complaining about an off post topic isn't really much different. Especially when we continue to stay off topic defending and putting down. One off topic post is still better than ten off topic posts in a thread. And the post may actually be on topic to some. It may be a matter of perception why the post was made in the first place. Learn to let it go sometimes.
  19. I decided to post this here. Please hear me out at least before saying I posted in the wrong forum, since I am asking for help/advice. I was just parusing the rants board because I myself was thinking of making a rant. Well I thought to myself, why not see if there is one already started similar to what my rant was about. Well I found one that interested me and was somewhat similar to my rant. So I go and read this rant to find it is locked. The reason being is that Rants board is obviously only for Runescape rants and not for rants related to tip it forums. So where do you rant about tip it forums or go to discuss issues about the tip it forums then? Thanks in advance
  20. I don't know if this is the case for everyone, I am sure it is not. But it was the case for me. Every defender I got came easier. Bronze took the longest for me. Each time I got a new one took less kills than the last one. You would think it would have been the other way around, but that is how it worked out for me.
  21. One final question then I am going to leave this alone. I was more or less figuring as far as day to day combat where good defensive armour is needed that Torags is probably better. I am guessing you are not really saving in an area say like food cost or something by using Bandos? Possibly even using more food? So say I wanted to buy just one item then for uses such as protection from Bandos followers in GWD. Would Bandos Boots be a pretty good choice even though they don't have the strength bonus like Dragon boots. Or is having tassets or plate going to outperform for your Bandos item and stick with the Dragon boots. I don't think Ancient Mace is really a good Bandos item as it is pretty weak. Thanks for any help.
  22. I appologize. My bad. I interepreted it as a bragging post as opposed to one asking if it was a good drop rate. I haven't trained at Aviansies yet, but do plan too eventually. I would have to agree with general sentiment of this thread though. You really need to more kills to really get a good assessment of how good or bad your drop rate is.
  23. I see that they have a nice little strength bonus. I am wondering if it is worth the 22 or so million for it though? Could someone give me advice on this? Of course I guess worth is all relative. While someone may think it is worth it, another person will not. Compfreak. What I said was nothing more than a light-hearted rib at you. Also, and I believe you are speaking to the other person as well. I know I suck at grammar, but I really don't care. I am trying to find out some answers on Bandos as well as was the OP. My point was that the person who posted stat comparisons was possibly trying to help out OP making a purchasing decision based on stat comparisons. OP did make a statement "I just got elysian sigil drop and i want to buy them, but they are extremally expensive." So obviously it sounded as the price was a factor to them. If a light-hearted rib on an online forum makes you this angry, you really should check in to taking some anger intervention classes. Replying to posts with comments that are not in anyway related to the thread add nothing. If this is any indication of how you react to things in real life, you are going to be exhausting a lot of energy and time fighting senseless battles all your life and causing yourself undue stress. If no one has any more advice for me on this, or if all we can do is flame each other and pound chests and put others down maybe I should find another online RS community. Sad thing is it probably wouldn't be any different.
  24. Maybe I was just really unlucky? But I had either 50k or 100k (can't really remember) iron arrows on the GE for over a month and never sold a single one. So I am not sure how good this would be. I guess you could always find someone willing to buy, maybe through forums though. But yeah, Minotaurs are pretty good for low level combat.
  25. I suppose you can use anything you want to for junk as long as you have enough to balance out any unbalanced trade you make. I suppose you could always use the talismans for Runcrafting experience too though if you wanted, or just sell them back.
