High lvl jerks.
So I'm guessing you're like 40? good guess, 38yo. military professional who enjoys a quiet game at night after the kids are in bed. By the way, just to educate you, national study conducted in USA in 2005 showed average gamer is 30, not 12. ...and 40% are women. also my wife plays (teacher). she also enjoys a bit of RS at night. My entire friends list is 123+, all adults and I belong to 3 all adult clans....so wake up and realize that while most of the nubz playing may be 12 yos who havent gone outside except to clamber aboard the school bus, and play RS, adults have the time, and desire to play it, and many many do. Take a peek at the top 500, most I suspect are adults....there is a reason for that. lesson done. ...nice 2 million total exp btw. :XD:

High lvl jerks.
108 isnt high, I made 108 in 5 months. Pounded trolls every night for 100k exp worth, takes about 1.5 hours with pots. (I was 124 pre-pc) typically, in the past (pre-pc) high levels were older players who had the time, patience and dedication to devote to a character, to develop high levels, thus a more mature person, less idiotic conversationalist. now with pc, mr 12 yo can get from 50-120 in a short time period, and thinks he is special and better then others, you have to remember, he's 12, and for the first time in his wee lil life, he is "powerful". Seldom can they handle it, and tend to display multiple immature antics in game. idiots and jerks come in all combat levels, seeing more at the higher levs now because of how easy combat became after release of pc. my theory anyway, and I know there are mature, pleasant younguns who play as well.

Is their a decline in rc pkers?
awww *wipes tear* you mean the spineless attackers of nekkid players busy at work are in a decline? "tsk" shame. not like it's impossible to survive. Even at my level, I get jumped periodically, I find it humourous as I click my elf crystal and watch their mage splash. or when I say to them after they hit me, "ooooh brb, dont run", and go to bank for toys, pots and gear, run back up with ice barrage at the ready...whats this? mr no life 120+ rc pker ran away? big surprise. meh

What Are YOUR Views On 99 Fletching And Cooking?
I wear my fletch cape proudly, i cut all of my own logs, with the exception of buying 2k mage logs once. took forever that way, but I dont buy stats. to each their own, my two cents. even if you "buy" the stats, it is still a 99, still took the work. I prefer to do my own workj, thus get other exp as well, only thing I buy is p ess and bowstrings.

hmmmmm idea...whats my fellow tiper's thoughts?
Rune defender is rare. Since it is nontradeable it is harder to get then rune defender. I've spent 8 hours in the warriors guild trying 2 get it and I haven't yet. I've just gave up and gone back to my zammy book. are you serious? did you have a wealth equipped? I did it from bronze to rune in 2 hours....huh weird :-k

So there I was..................
I agree on dark bow, when I got 90 slayer I ran down and started killing dark beasts...got a drop, went and bought some arrows (addy) and went to the cage......spent an hour, then switched to mage short....mage short gave me more exp per hour...not designed to be a trainer, more of a PvP thing, and since I don't pk, I sold and moved on....

hmmmmm idea...whats my fellow tiper's thoughts?
oooh nice idea....like equipping it puts you at 104 hp before damage. something like that..

So there I was..................
know that feeling, laggs have killed me in the past, and even though last weekend I bought a brand new super fast computer, 22" wide flat screen monitor, quick response mouse etc....I still get really nervous when I am deep in a dungeon with full dragon and guthans......thankfully I have been lag free for this whole week with the new computer. On topic: most of the guilds are a let down to me tbh. Although the fishing guild was decent...until monkfish/picatonis colony came out. I am not a big fisher, (havent fished in 2 years with exception of checking out the monkfish thing) so my opinion there isn't a major thing.

So there I was..................
yup yup, especially for me who hates having to partner up with people to do things in a game. Muggi: yeah you're right, I remember now what the hype was...they dropped half shields....lol...allegedly...I did go back and spend some quality time slaughtering shadows while training melee......gave up after a bit and went on to better exp per hour monsters...like trolls hehe.

So there I was..................
It was about 2 years ago, being an avid quest hater; I knuckled down and got the requisite levels and pre-quests done to go after the coveted Legends guild..and cape. and there I was....finally finished it, and I quickly scampered down to walk into the Legend Guild's mighty gates with anticipation of the wonders inside  ...........Go up west ladder...."m'kay" :? ...mith seeds for worthless flowers to carry around, half shield "sweet" and a couple keys and such....run down stairs, up east ladder....bank :anxious: ... I guess, although except the nice ability to be alone in a bank....not much of an advantage...runs downstairs and into the basement....*looks around*......*blinks*.....giant bats, oh be still my heart......*runs around fence*...shadow warriors......after killing those for a few hours.....never understood the hype of the "shadow warriors". :-X looks around for something wonderful.......special mage tree spot, private fishing hole, prayer altar....oh my god, tell me there is SOMETHING here.... :uhh: :ohnoes: sigh that's it? talk about a let down. It̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s been two years and every time I wander through the Guild, I get the same "what a waste of time and effort for this sad little desolate place" feeling. Anyone else get the same? Is it just me, or is the "LEGENDS GUILD" a vastly underdone area? How about you? Did you ever build up in your mind about a new area...weapon...guild......finally get there, acquire weapon, access guild and go..........your kidding...this is it? This is the magical weapon I dreamed about, beastly armor I thought about? Super cool exclusive guild I so wanted to belong to...? New area I had to train so hard to get to for....what? Reminds me of buying my first fury...wow, FURY, sounds uber powerful....what's this....less str then a measly strength ammy? hehe anyway, please share your stories of let downs :) thanks for reading, please contribute if you so desire

hmmmmm idea...whats my fellow tiper's thoughts?
yeah a lot of things don't make much sense, like how the defender has a defense stat at all (I guess you are parrying blows or something) but I kinda like the idea of a quest....maybe legends pt 2 where at the end of a really hard quest, you get to "enhance your Dragon Square" and end up with Dragon Square (e)....with either str bonus, or some other stat booster...hmmm

hmmmmm idea...whats my fellow tiper's thoughts?

hmmmmm idea...whats my fellow tiper's thoughts?
Well I sent this to Jagex, after thinking about the topic brought up in another thread about the lack of value or use of the Dragon Square shield. Check it out, and post your thoughts. Pros/Cons etc. My suggestion is based on comparing current weapons. Problem: When you compare the Dragon Square to the Tz-Haar shield and rune defender, it doesn't make sense that the Dragon Square doesn't have a strength bonus. When you think about the ease of acquiring the Tz-Haar and Rune defender, (which both have +5 strength bonuses) and the rarity of getting the dragon square (I have thousands of hours of game time, 135 mil exp and have only gotten two to drop)...with no strength bonus, it just doesnt even out. Suggestion: Update Dragon Square to add a +5 str bonus. Summary: This will renew interest and value of the rare dragon square shield, while putting it in it's proper place within the defense items. It will not de-value the Dragonfire Shield as the DFS has +7 strength bonus, has it's unique capabilities and high stats overall. Rune defender is still a unique item as it has high attack stats and a +5 strength bonus. So nothing is "nerfed" to coin a phrase from players. Thank you for your time and consideration. So what do you think? Will this recreate interest/value for the Drag Square? It would make it a more popular item in my opinion...I know I would toss my Tz-Haar shield and rune defender into the bank permanently if the change would happen. .....would you?

OMG - left half is worth nothing!!!
got my second half shield last nite off of abbies. Made it into a square and threw it into bank. Looks pretty with my full drag when slaughtering trees, but thats about all its good for as I prefer str stat boosting items. Off topic: got d legs from steel on slayer task, and d skirt from irons the next task all yesterday. So in one day slaying, over 6 tasks, got three drag drops *huggz slayer*. woot :XD: backon topic, I did sell my last square, back when they were like 1.8 mil, this one, i'll just keep for posing purposes  sad that as rare of a drop as these are....they are worthless. Be nice if they upgraded them by just adding +5 str bonus to them. Make them an item to have, good def and same str bonus as Tz-haar shield and so easy to get rune defender. Now that would make sense. Maybe I'll suggest it to Jagex on official site

Repercussions of Shop Update on Global Economy
well, IMHO, anything that makes life miserable and harder for merchanters and scammers, is a great thing. They have been leaches on Runescapers for a long time...all those lev 50-80 nubz running around sporting their purple phats and such....so sorry, guess you have to work a little harder...no more herb scamming, no more selling WFVs, no more hopping worlds and taking all the store stock...(not the intent of the design I am sure)....just so you can collect and sell at a grossly high price to high levs trying to work their stats....I built my wealth and stats the hard way....a little work and perverence...I refuse to make some nub rich to convenience myself. rock on Jagex...great update

WTF no more B-Staveing!!!!
*sigh* "if" there was any in stock...and the max default stock was 5....what in the world are you talking about? when you are crafting around 500 it is a giant pain in the wagon when "if" they aren't sold out...they have 5....5..buy 5, hop....buy 5 ...hop...buy 1 *sigh*...hop...buy...darnit, zero...hop... now you have to do a quest *shudders* to access, or go play that dumb mage training area....nty. I am not complaining, I was annoyed for about a hot minute, than just moved on. I recommend you do the same....so many ways to train crafting, and gather money from alching on other things, that it isn't worth worrying about. It never was a time conducive way as it was anyway...but it was kinda cool. of course, as you can tell on my stat siggie, I have never devoted much time to crafting so my opinion may not be a big factor

RIP hammer collection
...............*giggles*.....um....m'kay. I guess if it makes you happy....wow, just think of the exp you could have put on oh so many stats with all that time wasted....er....sorry.....utilized in collecting....hammers. but hey, to each their own, thats what makes this game cool. If it floats your boat......sry to hear you don't like the update, I love it, no more supporting nubz who spend their whole day world hopping buying all the water filled vials anymore hehe. *buys 100k wfv and feathers for later in case they change it* hehe
