P2P idea - Hoods & Wizard Hats - Mage Stuff

the hoods should have the same stats as hats of the same type, as well as there being available for the f2p hats. oh, and one more thing; castle wars-as far as i know its decoration only ;) ham-yeh thats decoration too skill cape-look at previous 2 :P Ahrims-that name alone makes it part of the strongest mage set in the game. no more needs be said :ohnoes: :-# -
are you using a typing translator? if not, then check your grammar. besides that, with a few tweaks, this could be an allright update. as is, it gets a 7.5/10.

i think those numbers may be percentages. when it is in between 2 whole #s, it is rounded up like everything else. the effects of the food you make would likely depend on various factors, including but not limited to ammount of ingredients, quality of ingredients, how complicated the recipe is, and how long it takes to make. this could prove to be very interesting! there may be some wiseguys who think of making macros to cook the tradable ones though, for sale. depending on how good it is, it may become very valuable! besides that, i give the idea 9/10. would the possible ingredients be anything you can think of? and if so, will there be consequences for using too many or contradicting ingredients? -

not bad. with some major fine-tuning, this could be viable. right now, i think it deserves a 6/10. i give ya points for effort, but there are some of the finer details missing. and there are more pures than just the ones that leave defense alone, i plan on making one using it for example.(don't kill meh, ill follow the other rules, i hate noobs as much as you do)

while i wouldn't mind having a new f2p skill, it is not what f2p needs. there are other topics for that. on topic though, i wouldn't mind any of those ideas, potentially adding a couple new lands only accessible to people with ships (travel across the water in a kind of supersized game map, where fally would be about the size of a 4x4 grid for example. there is a good topic on this idea as well, so i will leave it. the weaponry skill would not be on it's own, mroe like a combination of construction, crafting & smithing. i wouldn't mind one bit if they put out a new spellbook on summoning next month, with additions to various skills (& a new room) to accomodate.

yes, with proper implementation this could become a very good way of rejuvinating rs. also would be rewarding, fun, open up new routes, allow for a new type of combat (ship fights, with cannons, plundering the opposing team's ship, & subsequentially capturing/burning their ship (could give a person on your crew leadership of that vessel, making where you get a percentage of spoils from what they get determined by you). there is a good deal of potential here! -

i aggree that rangers need an update. i not only say this as a runescaper, but as a meleer. if i am to fight someone, i want a proper challenge! the distance bonuses are good ideas, as well as making the game more realistic. you could also make a tiny quest that will allow you to change how you hold/fire the arrows, augmenting the speed/power of the shot. the current style would be for close range and power, a different one for longer shots and speed. -
ok, there seems to be 2 theories on what kind of mage a lunar mage is. let's explore them, shall we? noncombat mage: if this is true, then they can swap some spells for better noncombat spells, such as a "cook fish" spell for example. defense mage: it is my beleif that this is what lunar mage was made for, as a counterweight to ancients. if it were to be so, it would have to be as strong as ancients, but in a defensive stature. we are in aggreement that in a good deal of situations, 1-2 ancient mages can handle almost every combat situation in the game, right? lunar mages should be able to cancel out ancients then. keep the ports, heal/cure others, shares, etc. and swap the unneccessary spells for stat boosting spells, auras, some counterattack spells (like deal half the damage sustained from a spec to the user of spec, for example), etc. i have a feeling that it done proper, this could actually become useful in wildy!

it wasn't the easter event itself that made comps lag, it was the INSANE ammount of people who checked it out. but yeah, different respawn animations would be interesting. heh, would also make it a BIT easier for combat trainin people because of the advance warning (1-2 seconds is a lifeime at 3 hp, trust me i know ;) ). would also be funny to watch little nublets go ape-**** watching something claw its way from the ground just in front of 'em :thumbsup: :lol:

here's a tip.........LEARN HOW TO FIGHT!!!!! its the wilderness, underhanded dirty tricks are commonplace, and the only real rule (besides game wide ones, of course) is to stay alive any way you can. everything else is just gravy. and yes, this does have massive potential for abuse. if that "problem" were really big, you'd be getting even the extremely high level pkers (105+) complainin. im a level 72, but i dont worry about these people, wanna know why? if I win, then i get what they drop :) get my point? if ya dont wanna risk losin stuff, dont go!

yeh, if yer gonna give something the title of "support mage" then make it earn it! i can think of a couple different ideas with this, but they may be quite long. do i got yer permission?

If I had to guess, there is likely to be around a 99.99% chance that the "updates" outlined in that are either a) complete BS or B) for SERIOUSLY far off dates (2010 anyone?). Even IF they planned some of those updates (engineering for example) for real, it would take a ton of time to make it doable on a java program. It can only do so much! I still hope it's coming though :)

that would be a good idea! maybe have "?????" or something of that effect in slots where there are unfound drops, that way we are sure of what drops we do & do not have. may count for completing the bestiary too! :thumbsup: thanks for pointin it out to me -
Not Me! I like tipit, my comp is just too slow to be able to load a page along with playing rs, it just won't work. So, I thought about something that may help. Why not have an in-game bestiary of sorts? Here's the idea of it, may be a little long. :ohnoes: Ok, you know how the varrock library in-game goes fairly unused? The person who tends it sure does, and he wants to do something about it. He wants to spice the library up a little, and what better way than a series of books that describes all things living (and some that isn't) on Geilnor (the rs world if you didn't know). This is open to all, and everyone can contribute (it would help newbies immensely even with the minimal ammount of info at first). To contribute, all you have to do is do your normal adventuring and come visit the library every once in a while. You gain info by first obtaining a book from the librarian (Traveler's Journal for lack of a better name) and going around to various places, talkin to npcs and killing things. As you kill things, you gain more information about that particular monster. After killing a preset or slightly randomised # of a specific monster (higher powered monsters need fewer kills), You record some info in your journal, which you can look at any time you wish. Once you get all the preset info you can (maybe have a star by the monster in the journal), You can record your own info, such as drops and sttrengths/weaknesses for example. You can do the same with areas, but with gaining info instead of killing stuff. When you get all the info of an area, any monsters with stars by them in your bestiary that occupy that area are categorised as such in the library (different for everyone). Now, there isn't much to all this hard work without there being a good reward, now is there? As said before, the bestiary is actually a series of books. Each of these books are assigned to a specific area, and are unlocked whenever you start recording about an area. There is also a separate series of books for the monsters only, sorted by type. You will not find links to the section on monsters unless if you complete both the area's and the monster's info. Also, for completing an area (percentage shown somewhere on the page, includes that area's monsters) and/or a certain ammount of monster logs (could be a mix of any), the librarian gives you rewards. They vary depending on what area you complete and the monsters you log. For the f2p areas and monsters, you can only get f2p rewards. For the p2p, you can get a mix of the 2. When you complete all of the f2p and/or p2p bestiary, you gain access to storing items in the royal vault (more space available for p2p than f2p, duh). Spatulus13 gave the idea that you can obtain a log in the bestiary of a monster for what it drops when you get it to drop something. I think this is a good idea, and would be possibly either something extra or a part of the bestiary completion. (maybe have a separate reward from getting all the drops from monsters, that would be interesting :) ) Well, this is as much as i can think of at the moment, tell me what you think!

although of the choices presented, i picked "no change", i think that something similar to the streak rule would suffice.heres my idea; when a team is 2 points ahead, after 3 mins of them keeping 2 points ahead, they automatically win.the regular 20 min timer stays.there could also be a possibility of bets being able to be placed on who will win (likely to be abused, just somethin i thought of to make it more interesting ;) ) -
im gonna update this soon.if it still is gonna be ignored, ill just give up on it.its really a good quest imo, but theres just to many ppl writing off on it.
