100% Unofficial New Dragon Items Discussion
SilentDragonfly replied to imhomer's topic in General Discussion
As for weapons the Pickaxe and Warhammer are about all that's left to cover. Claws are very unlikely, unless they remove Rune Claw's spec and give it to a Dragon Claw. As for a truely "full" set of dragon armour, I fear it's far away in the future, if at all. The full helm, platebody and kiteshield would essentially make the med, chain and sq a waste and they'd become vastly unpopular. -
I had just finished my last quest, Dragon Slayer, causing me to reach Lv60 combat. With what I felt was a respectable level, lack of new things to accomplish in f2p, a RL friend already a member and the great price of just ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã3.20 a month I succommed to the urge of becoming a member. And I don't regret it one bit.

answer to a lvl 2 map clue + need help with one
SilentDragonfly replied to ssenmodnar's topic in Help and Advice
There is a crate in the center of the desert mining camp, next to the wagon. That's what you're looking for. That clue location just got me Ranger Boots :D -

Skillers are they useless in your opion?
SilentDragonfly replied to skillerz_own's topic in General Discussion
If you have a main character I fail to see the point in starting a new one to raise a single skill. Why wouldn't you want to raise it on your main character instead? -
Put them on ignore too, they'll come back be all nice and friendly until you refuses them something again. After I'd known a guy for about 4 months, he asked out of the blue to borrow my Dragon Platelegs. As this was my most valuable item I naturally refused, partly through fear of losing them and partly due to the fact I was training in them at the time. He threw a fit and promptly put me on ignore, claiming he'd never speak to me again. 2 days later he's PM's me apologising for his short temper. The same incident occurred again, and I gave him another chance. Then just recently on two occassions he's called me a bad friend and promised to quit because I wouldn't hang around with him all the time and PMing each other wasn't good enough. I had had enough of him and have put him on ignore indefinatly. Another incident, preceding that one was when I had met someone at the Ardy market. I agreed to help her do Monkey Madness as she was finding it tough and it's a quest that I paticularly enjoyed. Upon completion she asked to borrow my Dragon Scimitar. As soon as the trade had occured I got a "haha, noob loser" and she teleported away, and assumedly put me on ignore. About an hour later I spotted her at the Castle Wars bank. "Stop thief" I said, and she replied with "omg it's you" then promptly logged. I never saw my sword again. It's not easy to trust everyone in Runescape, and for good reason. It's best to only trust friends you know outside of the game, or people you have gained trust with over a long period of time.

It's gotta be the Bloodveld. I'd have said that even before one dropped me a Halfshield. Great as a Slayer Task, great to raise ranging on too. Oh and all the blood runes too.

what was the first thing u did when u became a member?
SilentDragonfly replied to hell1234's topic in Questionnaires
Started off in lumbridge to thieve some men, reached Lv10 Thieiving IIRC. Then I did Witch's House. It was the first thing I noticed as I stepped in through the p2p gate at Doric's -
My physical strength is pretty poor and from what experience I've had in archery proves I'm crap at ranging. My productive skills aren't paticularly good either. So I'd likely be a mage. I have this eerie power of making people miss while playing pool when I want them to. Either that or I just distract them without realising. >_>

Ah, of course, I knew I'd get somethign wrong

The +5 magic over Ahrim and Ancient staffs is definatly worth having although it loses Ancient's auto-ancient ability. No it isn't. Infinity has no defense bonuses other than magic. Ahrim's has def bonuses in everything but range. All of Ahrim's robes have a greater magic bonus over infinity other than the hood, which has an equal bonus to the hat. The one perk of inifinity is that is has boots and gloves, unlike Ahrim's. The best setup for a magic bonus as far as i'm aware is:- Head: Ahrim's Hood Cape: Sara/Guthix/Zammy Cape Neck: Amulet of Fury Arrows: N/A Weapon: Master Wand Top: Ahrim's Top Shield: Mage's Book Bottoms: Ahrim's Bottoms Gloves: Infinity Gloves Boots: infinity Boots Ring: N/A

Possible bugs in the update? Insufficient testing? Free beer tokens in their local newspaper leading to them to going to the pub instead of working? Plenty of possible reasons a gameplay update hasn't occurred this week. I mean it's not the first time it's happened. Personally I'd rather be doing the million and one things I have left to do in runescape than be complaining to the J-Men about the lack of an update perfectly on time. They aren't machines, they certainly aren't perfect.

WC+ Firemaking It really rakes in the cash. On a more serious note WCing (and buying) Yews + Crafting Flax + Fletching Yew Longs + Magic Alchemy is my main source of money.

mage trainin areana, boring or fun?
SilentDragonfly replied to aussy4321's topic in General Discussion
I've had nothing but compliments since I got my top, and now my bottoms too. Things like "Wow, nice robes", "Cool, infinity!!!" and "Your robes are awesome, where'd you get them" This alone is well worth any time and boredom I've spent at the training arena (telekinetic is so samey) and massive boost in my magic level (74 -> 82 in getting peaches, top and bottoms) is just an awesome bonus. I wouldn't recommend going for everything in one go though. I got peaches and then the top, then went back for the bottoms a couple of weeks later. Hat is next on the list, I'll go when I feel the urge -
I don't think Claws are gonna get better than rune. Remember, Rune Claws already have a special. Likely a 2h.

Poll - Who wants a new very hard quest?
SilentDragonfly replied to Biabf's topic in General Discussion
I'd rather have a long quest with an interesting story, in somewhere fairly deserted. I LOVED Underground Pass. More on a similar scale make me very happy :) -
Thorton As for Miscellania, since I first left I haven't given it a second thought until I saw it mentioned here

Do You Listen To Music While Playing RS?
SilentDragonfly replied to reich1337's topic in General Discussion
My RS music doesn't work and never has :( Well from what I have heard from jingle0, jingle1 etc from deep in the bowls of my C Drive it sucks anyway. So yeah I play my own music, usually Audioslave, A7X, Bullet for my Valentine, Jimmy Eat World, Muse, Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd, The Mars Volta, Trivium.... the list goes on. -
Questing Quiet all of you "I h4t3 questz" money hordeing merchants. I'd much rather be carrying out a task I've been given and be rewarded for it than standing around repeating what i'm buying/selling. In 2nd comes Slayer I'm training my combat at the same time as a skill. I find that awesome. It's not samey either as I'm changing what I'm killing after each time instead of just staying at Rock Crabs, Shadow Warriors or Experiments. Although the drops for someone at 74 slayer aren't amazingly valuable. 3rd up is my main source of money, Cut/Fletch/Alch I'll cut my own yews (usually 112 or 224 per go, which is 4 or 8 inventories), Fletch them all into Yew Longs then alch them. Since I craft my own strings and nats I'm getting Xp in Crafting, RC, WC, Fletch AND magic, while retaining 100% of the profit I get from alchemy.

Making the new items untradeable !!!
SilentDragonfly replied to silver24-7's topic in General Discussion
If this had been suggested closer to the release, I'd agree. I wear my infinity top whenever I'm not training combat (aka slayer in my case) and people often say "wow nice top! how much did it cost you?" To which I have to explain I earned it myself. Way too late for this though. Everyone who's already traded for them has them for the money they spent, not the effort put into. To make them untradeable now would give these people unworthy respect for effort (rather than respect for earning lots of money). People now who trained for them for the plan of selling it on would also be pretty pissed off with their wasted time (even though they'd had gained sigificant magic xp) Similar reasons to why the holiday drops haven't and won't be made untradeable at this late stage, you'd displease a lot of your customers, which exactly what Jagex as a business do not want to do. -
16 January 2006 - Agility Pyramid
SilentDragonfly replied to Chaosbringer's topic in General Discussion
Well I found it somewhat amusing, although I'll probably stick with the wildy course in the future. Well, I've had 11 trips up there, seems really easy when you're 63 agi :P Keeping my Pyramid Tops Here's some screenies I took
