One of my mates is 52s :shock: I'm pretty sure I did it in under 1:50, I was being conservative so that I wouldn't post a wrong time :P I'd check, but I can't find my goldeneye cartride :(

I didn't mess up, I said my guitar sounded like crap for the song :P. But if it's anything to you Casey's Song is probably the hardest song to play on the album. As for acoustics without cutaways - an acoustic without a cutaway makes perfect sense - it's probably around 99.9% of all acoustic songs will never require you to go above the 16th fret :P

I've been playing acoustic guitar for five years, and I've played quite a few different kinds. First thing: do not buy a left-handed guitar. I am left-handed irl myself, but I did absolutely fine with a right handed guitar. All sheet music and tabulature is written for right handed guitars and I don't think you'll want to stand on your head to read whatever music you'll be wanting to play. The guitar I personally own is the Fender G45SCE. Yes, boring name I know. It was my first guitar, and it's only disappointed me once (tried to play Casey's Song by City and Colour and it sounded like crap for the first time in four years). It'll run you up over $500 maybe though. At a store around where I live it's listed at $800 (Canadian), so around $700-$750 American you're looking at. But it's totally worth that. I personally wouldn't sell it for $1200, $400 more than I paid for it. So it's a great value. It's got a really thin neck and a really bright sound. I got it with a cutaway, though you could get it cheaper than I listed if you go without a cutaway. The brand I would suggest most to you would be a Cort. They suit well for beginners, they sound incredible for the price, and are definitely within your price range. Basically I just wanted to talk about my guitar, I'm not exactly suggesting it. I suggest a Cort. No specific brand, just go and try them out. I am personally not a fan of Takemine; their guitars usually feel bulky and require alot of "umph" to generate a decent sound. Seagulls are nice; though usually more pricy - their necks are usually wider too, but that is good for a beginner, if your hand is big enough.

What I would absolutely love is a Gretsch. Preferable the Tennessee Rose. Take a look at 'er. I just don't want to fork over $2000 for it.
