So, I could use a bit of help...
To be very honest Kayla, I felt a little afraid for you reading that, and still I do. I know you have probably lived with how your dad has been for the past 18 years, but to threaten to kill your boyfriend...? A little too far for my liking... but then again thats just. You can do it Kayla. Go to the uni you want get where you want in life. As you have said, only staying there with your dad will make things worse. *Fluffles*

15 January 2008 - Summoning!
That's not logical. The reason we can only use summons in multi combat areas is because it is like having another person there when a summon is. Saying that prayer should be only be in multi combat areas is not logical because prayers are ourselves, not other players.

15 January 2008 - Summoning!
It is a good skill and good idea. I don't see why people are complaining about the whole shard thing, who cares if it is slightly expensive to train? The summons at greater levels will be able to do things for us which will help us gain money back! The only thing I wish they would change is maybe make the wolf and chicken summons have maybe 3-5 more exp gain per pouch. And perhaps even a set amount of exp each time things were summoned (Like maybe 5 exp each time summoned, for all monsters).

Enex [Complete!]

2008: anything your psyched about playing?
- The coming of age
*Super godly epic unbelievable-five*- The coming of age
There is a time in everyones life when they come of age, or at least it appears this way. It seems in today's society that being a specific age is what grants people permission to do various things. Depending on where you live, these acts can be different. For example, here at 16 you can begin you driving career (I call it a career because you cannot fully get your license for many years), at 16 you can legally wed here with parental consent. At 17, a gamer is now deemed old enough to purchase "M" rated games. 18 is the age at which one can move out and start their new life away from the nest as well as not needing to be in the public school system anymore. Depending where you live, 18 is the age at which you can view adult material. 19 here (21 in the states) one can then finally enjoy a nice fresh beer, and if it tickles your fancy, a smoke. Now, I find it interesting how we have these responsibilities handed to us. I know some people who just can't wait to turn 16, and get their license even though it will cost them hundreds of dollars for the testing and education and such. I know people who can't wait to turn 19 so they can drink, yet they already spend about 50$ a week getting alcohol from friends illegally, and wonder why they can't go to the movies with friends that don't drink. I know people who just can't wait to move out, and when they do, they realize they just can't keep up with bills, or that they made life style choices that were so wrong. Basically, I guess I'm asking what is so good about growing up when it seems like, in the long run, it just costs us money, causes us problems and greif, and finally is just a pain in the but. How do you all view the 'coming of age'? If your age restrictions are different from mine, what are they? And do you think the age restrictions should change at all?- Step back to the glory days of OT ~An Off-Topicers Blog~
After my homework is done, I plan to finish all those tuna potatoes :P- A debate, Heart or Brain?
NOM, I wouldn't say it's passion vs. Logic because one can still have passion about a logical thing they are doing. It's more of a "let your emotions rule you' vs. logic.- A New Game?
What ever you do, do NOT play maple story. It is complete and utter [cabbage]. I would suggest a free trial of WoW. Just go to http://www.worldofwarcraft.com and you should be able to find a 10 (or 14 day, I forget) trial for the game. You just sign up for an account, and download the client. Now... on an aside here, the full game is free ;) You can download the entire base game for free and if you decide you dont want to play, you will still have the entire game on your computer. But just remember this, you have to pay for a base membership in order to get a trial for the expansion pack.- A debate, Heart or Brain?
No. What they mean is would you 'Follow your heart' (I.e. emotions) or would you follow complete logical based thought? I really have no idea what to say. I'm at a stage where I just want everything to be run on logical thought and for people to stop being ruled by their emotions... but at the same time emotions seem to be the key to some things. I am confused. <---My answer.- Wow...
I dont have proof, but I have heard this many times, so I would assume it to be true. It depends what you do. If you leave a still image on the plasma tv long enough it burns the image onto there, so the screen will retain traces of that image later.- How do you arrange your desktop?
I have all important applications and tools along with my computer and my documents in the top left corner. The top right corner has all my games. The bottom left corner contains all my protection software (Fire wall, antivirus, ect.), and the bottom right corner contains my folder which has all my already used install exe's and my non used desktop icon folder along with my recycling bin.- Freedom
8-) I c what you did thar Kashi. There are two different freedoms. Society Freedom, chaotic freedom. Chaotic freedom is nature, and what probably should be reality had we not created society. But we did create society, thus we must follow, as long as we live with humans, the freedom of society. In our society's freedom, we are allowed to do as we please, as long as it does not infringe on other's wellbeing. But this is not always followed, and some follow chaotic freedom. Realize this, as long as you are on these forums, you follow society's freedom.- have you ever broke the rules?
PDA on school grounds. The principle wasn't impressed.- Homosexuality - Gay Bashing?
There̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a distinction between being homophobic and disapproving of homosexuality. You out of at least respect for your own beliefs, will not ignore the heart of the question by throwing around stereotypes and arguments that look to be constructed by children. Also I understand that your point was probably referring to a chaos in morality as well. We must identify the difference between morality and politics, most importantly the difference between what is right, and what is best for society. You may believe homophobia is alright if everything is chaotic and nothing is fixed, and you may be correct. It is not however healthy as a society to allow people to race around inciting hatred. This is why we have laws that protect various minorities. The question is not one of morality or even nature, it is a political question. I think I get what Insane was saying then. "Because I believe the world is chaotic, how can it be bad to be homophobic?" Is that what he meant? I know it's a very contradictory answer, but It is ok in theory to be homophobic, racist, to be prejudice. Nothing matters in chaos. But as you said Satenza, there is a difference between the reality of society, and what happens in nature. There are some things we cant control. Take weather for example. The storms happen, and we dont have anything to do about it but it's all about how we deal with the natural storm that matters.- What if Iran attacked U.S?
- Homosexuality - Gay Bashing?
If there are no real standards in nature and everything is chaotic then stop giving homophobes a bad rap; afterall it's just the standard they've made for themselves. Rephrase that please. It didn't make sense to me.- Homosexuality - Gay Bashing?
I don't see your point. There are always anomalies in nature. Things that differ from the 'standard'. There are no real standards in nature as nature is chaotic and things are always changing. 'standards' or norms are just things that we humans make because we can't stand to see chaos, and therefor must find order in that chaos. As well, I know it's rough to say it, but homosexuals help with population control. We currently have over 6 billion people on the earth. We can barly feed every single mouth can we? So what is the point of making sure everyone has kids if we don't have the food and resources to provide for them. As well, you said gays can't reproduce and are therefore against nature. What about those that are born a certain way, and can't reproduce? Should we considered them not human for the way they were born, and treat them like animals? You have a very flawed argument.- Homosexuality - Gay Bashing?
Question: Can anyone here who is against gays make an argument against them without religion involved?- Officers told her 'rights' were 'only in the movies'
In this case, it was unneeded. We KNOW that the head 'injury' was not sever, and a simple iceing was all that was needed. Thus the swat team over reacted and a social worker should of been sent in first to try and deal with the mother and family in order to obtain the child. The police did not try to NON VIOLENTLY obtain the child first, which is a HUGE NO NO. I'm sure if a social worker had been sent in and described what kind of things could of happened, things would of been handled peacefully and there would of been no conflict at all. Now had the mother not responded to that, sure send in either normal cops or a swat team, but not at the rate they did. If anyone here says that "they could of had a gun and could not of been trusted", you better have some damn good security, because you just said that you trust no one in the world and that you think every single person has a gun.- What other games do you play besides runescape?
Video game subforums here ;) I play the Final fantasy series along with some other RPG's. Another series of games I tend to play a lot is the Zelda one. Lastly I mostly play The orange Box to get my FPS craving.- Looking for a new mmorpg better than runescape, or close
The only MMO's I can suggest would be World of Warcraft or Guild Wars. I very much suggest WoW though because it has pvp that surpasses any other game. Don't try any of those genaric f2p MMO's you find online, they are all crap compared to WoW or GW (I've never played GW, but the game looks like it can be good at times).- Regrets and life...
