  1. I don't know about the speakers but as long as your using WPA with a strong password (ie. not easy to guess) it is very doubtful that anyone is piggy-backing on your Wi-Fi connection. Those screen shots you took are the Wi-Fi networks your computer can see and, therefor, connect to, not a list of people on your network.

  4. not worth it. you only get 20 low alchs a day with explorers ring anyways
  5. some skills, such as rc and prayer, are more of an achievement in f2p due to the increased difficulty to train them being 100% f2p is not an achievement in itself but I for one am quite proud of the fact that I've never been been f2p
  6. Thanks for the advice. I think I'm going to go with Xubuntu for the low specs it requires. On a side note I don't know about Vista but one of my friend's uncles put OSX on an XP computer. It not that the difficult you just have to make sure your hardware supports OSX.
  7. I've got an old Dell Ispiron L100r computer running on a 1GHz Pentium III processor with 384 Mb of CL3 RAM and a blank 18.6 Gb Hard Drive that I want to put Linux on but I'm not sure which distro to get. I'm new to Linux but I learn fast and I'm fairly proficient with both the Windows and MacIntosh operating systems already. If I can find some I'll be adding more RAM, hoping to increase it to 1Gb. suggested so far Ubuntu (x5) Fedora (x3) Gentoo (x2) Xubuntu (x1) Damn Small Linux (x1)

  9. sounds like a good idea I frequently make mistakes with other do-x options which usually aren't a big deal but I'd to mess up and be out all that money because of something so easily prevented
  10. NO!!!!!!!!!! I love the wheel of time series I hope what you said about the book is true and it finishes the series
  11. normally I don't support the giving of p2p itmes to f2p or the adding of a new aspect to f2p, no matter how much I may want it, but I have to say I will support this as really team capes probably should have been f2p and with it maybe those teleport ruins int he wildy too. I mean really what difference would that make.
  12. NO!!!!! that would take all the fun and challenge out of being self-sufficient while training on lessers and mossies. just because your to lazy to do the extra work required to fish and bank mass amounts of lobs and swordies does not mean we need a bank on karajama it means you have to realize that in order to be fun a game does have to be challenging and that is especially true if f2p runescape. the fun of being f2p is overcoming all the challenges involved.
  13. I found I got him a lot when I was ranging lvl 27 minotaurs in SoS
  14. if your using the humidify method you can now save another inventory spot for a waterskin by using the new steam satff from the god wars dungeon
  15. which is easier to sell in large bulks oak logs or willow logs
  16. when you read every single post in this topic just to see how many apply to you
  17. a while ago I saw some noob trying to sell "rare orange rune ore" in varrock square, never did ask how much he expected to get for it
  18. mossies are really good as long as you can find an empty world
  19. sounds like it would work pretty well and I'd have no problem with reintroducing the fatigue system back into rs although the reason it was removed by JaGex when they released rs2 may have been that it didn't really work but I believe that would be because of the fact the poster above me, Green_Link, pointed out in that it only stopped the gain of exp but not the actual use of the skill therefor if reintroduced it would have to be made in such a way that it halts the increase of exp as well as the ability to continue to use the effected skills until the player has restored their fatigue to 0%
  20. ahh high level f2p trainin. someone really should right a guide on this. there are actually many good palces to train high level f2p combat and I'll just list them off in the order that they come to me in red=con mossies (lvl 42): isle of crandor -don't hit often -don't hit hard -drops are mostly stackable or alchable -drop b bones for payer exp -food easily restocked on karajama -high hp to level ratio (1.43) -2 nearby addy rocks -usually busy -far from bank lessers (lvl 89): karajama volcano/crandor dungeon -high hp gives more exp -food easily restocked on karajama -drops are mostly stackable or alchable -drops rune meds -with good def and armour hits are manageable -can hit hard (multiple 8's in a row) -usually busy -far from bank ankous (lvl 75): 4th level of secutrity stronghold -fairly close to a bank (edgeville) -doesn't hit to hard or to often -drops lots of law runes -most drops are stackable -can hit hard (multiple 8's in a row) catablepons (lvl 49, 64, 68): third level of security stronghold -(lvl64)decent hp to level ratio (1.09) -fairly close to bank (edgeville) -sometimes drops food (trout) -most drops are stackable -lowers str level (str pots recommended) those are the ones I know from experience are good but I have also heard a few times that the flesh crawlers in the security stronghold are indeed good as well as the giant spiders in the security stronghold and I read a guide in the AOW that said ice giants were also good exp (linky) while looking for that guide I also saw another one that said the dar wizards in the wildy are good exp too (linky)
  21. first of if this belongs somewhere else mods please move The first level of the stronghold of security seems to be a gold mine for getting random events. In the last 24 hours I have spent approximately 6 hours ranging the level 27 minotaurs and in that time I have had 1 Maze, 1 Quiz Master, 1 Prison Pete, 2 Freaky Foresters, 2 Drill Demons, 2 Pinballs and at least half a dozen Evil Twins.
  22. Welcome to RuneScape. You quickly escape the prison with Pete... Welcome back to RuneScape.
  23. I like the the links listed below the map most for one simple reason. it allows linking to more than one level of the same monster if multiple levels are present
