Actually, that was the first thing to come to mind when I saw the title. :^_^: I read the feature article, but I will take my time thinking about what I want to say. The only thing I don't like was that there is just two articles this week, but at least more time to focus. For a minute there, it looked like we might've had to do with just 1 article! Luckily mine was ready-ish to go after I pulled an all-nighter to save the day :P Btw, my article was meant to inspire people to at least make something of a bucket-list for RS... But I guess setting goals for yourself is sort of that already...

Yeah I kinda am after working through the night to have an article ready at all... We were promised an article that still wasn't delivered to us, so I wrote my article last night instead of having a whole week more to do it... I apologise if the quality of my article isn't up to standard, but I've yet to run out of inspiration... Writers block is not known to me!

Grow your own Fellstalk/Make your own prayer renewal from scratch will definitely be one. Killing Akrisae specifically will probably be one as well considering it requires the completion of RotM to kill him. Killing a skeletal horror thingymajigga from the bone collector weird man...

Unfortunately, there was no such interview to be transcribed... It was just me having a conversation with one of the many jagex people that were at RuneFest, the very possibility of having such opportunities amazed me :) As for the lag bit, anyone with a slight understanding how compters etc work, knows that servers with 1200 people and/or bots on it is laggier than if it has 200... So yeah, it didn't fit the description... It's a good thing that I still use pen and paper to write my articles before I type em out, otherwise I'd have been fired long ago :P

So is this update classified as a disaster yet?

It's not an assumption, several Jagex people said at RuneFest that getting rid of the bots would eventually free up some hands... It may not have happened yet, but it will eventually... And by less lag I meant that your screen will look like its frozen for a bit when one yew tree is cut down and all bots move to the next... This being one of many examples, of course...

I explored that avenue when writing the article you see published today... The only reasons why the endlösung of bots is not destructive to the game as a whole are: -Lack of news headlines - as there's no major victories for Jagex to achieve against these bots anymore, means that any "news" about RuneScape is not going to be as interesting, which means less exposure, which means less new players... -Cheap skilling - already discussed in this and other threads, for obvious reasons (re-creation of the middle class)... -Lack of a common enemy for fair players to rail against - leading to a fractioning RS community When you see the benefits we got in return (provided they find a solution to kill the newly arisen epicbot program), you quickly realise that it is a small price to pay: +Stable and fairer game overall +More resources can be devoted to content development +Less lag (current fps issue is not related to this)

If I were an author, I would write an article on this. It could be an interesting read if done right. Not really, cuz the conclusion is a given already... Anything leading to the contrary will pretty much automatically brand the author as a bot-apologist who now whines that his Dragon Bones cost too much, while they now reflect much more accurately the actual price...

Not just that... I was actually trying to make people think about how destructive bots have been for runescape compared to how destructive ww2 was for europe...

Glad you liked it :) I attempted to point out that Bots have been as destructive to RS as WW2 has been to the world... Some parts were unaffected, but everyone has been confronted with it one way or another... As for your question, I was referring to the methods of moneymaking where seemingly only 1 sort of occupation is a good method of gathering wealth... I wouldn't say that it is comparable to the 1% vs the 99% movement, but you get the idea...

^+1 So they have created a nice little bridge to go from F2p to P2p... But who on earth would these days actually start playing RuneScape from scratch as a person that is completely new to the game?

People stopped training skills legitimately once effigies came out. Now they are butthurt that they don't have an easy way out. Because the alternative is Runecrafting. +3 All comments get a +1 from me here :) Effigyscapers had their fun, while it lasted... I'm also VERY glad that Jagex didn't announce that this was coming :) ANYWHO, 4 pages of whining about effigies, can we focus on the quest now?

Not my point... Anywho; Very awesome update otherwise, ofc... I wonder if the new flasks and storage of those flasks in BoBs will have an impact on rare-drop prices... Since trips will be longer (at least 50%) and the flask price rapidly dropping, I don't doubt that there's oing to be at least SOME adjustment in the price...

Same, that part of the update bothered me. Ditto... Was the easiest way to be booted off of the island back to Rellekka, and the only "free" Rellekka tele out there...

Giving people their monthly fix is the best I can do, unless I'm feeling particularly inspired :D So... inspire me!
