Ha ha I lolled
Which is the ONLY reason (if you ask me) that they require a multitude of people to come in the Citadel and work for it to stay afloat (literally?)... Cuz this supposedly means more memberships...

Ha ha I lolled
Probably a fake, but I have been able to confirm the existance of Dungeoneering bots... I'm not exactly sure what Jagex hopes to achieve here... Either they are really that stupid and need to be educated on how big the botting issue has become. Or they are simply lying and hoping that noone notices that these bots DO exist, all to prevent more people from abusing them... Currently, I'm actually leaning towards the former, because how well they understand bots is proven here: Now it is true what they say that some clans would, given the opportunity, just let 5 or so bots on run 24/7 to see the Citadel upgrade over time just to get the best possible... But Jagex' bot detection methods are so advanced that they can't even automatically detect plank-making or ess-mining bots automatically, so how in the world will they detect this when the content isn't even available yet, let alone a bot developped for it? Everyone can see that this bot-in-Citadel-prevention thing is not goign to work... To me it seems that Jagex' understanding of bots has utterly failed, but can be solved with them burning a single scentence in their brain: Everything a human can do, eventually so will a bot be able to, and we will not be able to detect it...

What is the difference between the link to play rs when the address of the game app ends in: "game.ws?j=1" vs "game.ws?j=0"

Ask Jagex About Clan Citadels! - ANSWERS!
^that In all honesty, what you guys would want, is a removal of the cap on how much a person can contribute to his clan's citadel... I am completely 100% for this!

[DevBlog] Clan Citadels
My clan has ALMOST enough people for tier 6... But did I read right that they would ALL have to visit in order to maintain that tier 6?

Ask Jagex About Clan Citadels! - ANSWERS!
What examples of features will be found in the Clan Citadel (city, really, if the size of it is as big as I think it is)... Will there be the ability to build a bank, perhaps even a GE branche? How about 'normal' stuff like farm patches, cooking ranges or fish puddles? Also, how much time will roughtly need to be spent by everyone (suppose everyone has all skills 80) for the weekly upkeep? And how much time roughly to get that 1.5x xp ring?

30-Jun-2011 Introducing: Clan Citadels
Yeah, I looked into that one too... But I think Jagex just agve it a name, rather than looked in to what it really is...

30-Jun-2011 Introducing: Clan Citadels
Gonna be fun... But if it's going to be as big as they say it will be (aka combine all of ardougne, falador and castlewars), it isn't a citadel... It's a city, and I wanna name mine :)

30-Jun-2011 Introducing: Clan Citadels
If it is possible for visitors to join me and the rest of my clan "up there" in our citadel, we'll have an open door policy... I'll be honest with you that this is something I had dreamt of the day regular POH's came out, and have been predicting (see older Tiems article) that this would be what the giant portal under construction is for in the Clan Camp... I hope sincerely that it is all that I wanted it to be :D Good show Jagex...

Return of the wildy/free trade-do you regret your vote?
Google trends... Mind you, this is the people SEARCHING for "RS Gold", so the regular customers who have the sites favorited arent shown here... This graph pretty much means that there is an ever increasing number of people that is looking for a way to cheat... I don't think that there is any graph that displays so clearly the connection between cheaters in RS compared to the Free Trade/Old Wild updates... And when you compare it to this: It shows that there is no indication that the total number of players/ad-clickers/subscribers has increased by a significant amount when Free Trade and Old Wild were reinstated... Yet this chart shows that the year after the removal of Free Trade and the Old Wild, they were on track to start making bigger profits...

Rule-breaking and the role of a fansite
Did some digging, and I was talking about solutions such as this one in my article from early this year...
-
Rule-breaking and the role of a fansite
Tip.it is one of the few well 'defended' human-only communities that exist in an all zombie-fied world... Whichever way you look at it, though, Jagex have accepted that there are people cheating out there, and that there always will be... They also said that that would not give them pause in fighting these same cheaters, but whatever they are doing, to us it feels like there is less and less of an impact, and new solutions need to be thought of...

Tip.It Times - 29th May 2011
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9kpTvm6CYA I would hardly call Rach' article whining... It brings up a valid point that I too have spotted more and more in myself, but have yet to see people express; which is the apathy of regular players towards bots on nearly every level one can imagine... At the editorial panel we get to do this... Apply today, because it is the last day possible if you too want to "whine"...

EP Recruitment Drive 2011 - OVER
Its easy to write a proper article... Once you know how... Just find any subject you're passionate about, and write it down coherently = article... When it is a massivly under-highlighted subject, or it has a unique new angle = good article... When it resonate (positively or negatively) with the audience and cause a lot of discussion = great article... When it gets acknowledgement and feedback from the powers that be/smarter people than me (not neccisarily the same people) = awesome article... When the article actually does have an impact and (initiates plans to) change things around per suggestions in the article = EPIC article... That's the scale I'm working with, more or less... Start slowly, as not every article even makes it to the awesome-o level :)
