  1. Call it what you will, but I think our points of view are the same: Why bother if noone cares... But Kyle, do you think that this ingamne clan can change things by forcing people together more and more often?
  2. The achievement analysis could've been pretty much an article on it's own when I read the comments here :) Glad I wasn't too far off when trying to hit this nail on the head...
  3. Which is true for a lot of people... Even more so when you ask the peopel that are in a clan already... The reason I drew parallels it to MY job (and not A job), is that it worked the same for me in the respect of still enjoying the things I do: I enjoyed my old job because of my co-workers, and I enjoy RuneScape because of the people I play it with...
  4. Interesting concept... This asumes the same thing: that the stuff you built up will be there forever...
  5. Moreover, I think it is increasingly less about the content (besides the developping storylines) bcause it's all a better version of msomethnig that previously existed, therefor more and more about the people you play and compete with... But when even the competition part becomes less and less important, what do you have left?
  6. TBH, it is far from surprising that the people banned were the same ones that stopped posting on the Times thread when rules on that became a little stricter... So the forum rules in general got stricter, any surprise that they stop posting there now too? @Golvellius: your posts on this thread are probably spot on... I'm not sad to see some of these people leave, and I also doubt that (and I quote) "half of the Tip.it forum" will leave over this... Speaking from past experiences: cya around when you cooled your heels...
  7. Sees_all1 is already part of the EP... Thing is, if you put 2 people in a room discussing opposing ideas about the same subject; someone is going to change his mind, or they end up killing eachother... It's rather hard to actually write down two opposing ideas... RuneScape isn't that complicated, neither are the people in general that play it... It is hard enough to come up with a balanced article, but if you do two biased ones (to opposing ends of the argument), the flaming it envokes is likely to be worse than usual... We write because we like to, and given a chance, shine a (new) light on a subject that needs one... How our articles are interpreted is not something we can 100% control (see my last attempt as being lighthearted), but we do aim for people to at least enjoy the read, even if they disagree with the article's premise...
  8. No, but I don't seem to see many articles out of you lately. Maybe I passed over them. Once a month again since Januari (November and December saw a fictional of me :))... So... yea...
  9. If you think I'm pro-jagex, you havent read ANY of my articles... At all! I've actually been struggling myself to voice a pro-jagex opinion, cuz I found myself being quite negative over the past months... Not that I didn't have a good reason...
  10. no multi-clanning
  11. No no, you're only partly right... My beef with the overload is that it gives a SIGNIFICANT advantage without it adding to your combat level or otherwise showing it ingame... Add-on to that beef is that this power cannot be transferred, much like your chaotic weapons cannot be, but those can be seen... So for a skill that is completely invisible to have such a huge impact on combat, I would suggest in other PVP areas to lower the strength of the overload (much like it is int he wild)... Knowing that jagex wouldnt do this without inciting massive riots, I merely suggested other skills be of a similar invisible usefulness in combat, to make the impact herblore has seem less significant...
  12. I wish they'd do a similar ladder per combined cup (Stealing Creations) But they would have to first include Firemaking, Slayer, Dungeoneering and Farming into SC (which I have some ideas for as well btw)
  13. Welcome to the forums, and TY for clarifying a few things for everyone :)
  14. If OVL can be used in clanwars, especially with Clan Highscores coming up, I think they should be considered to be nerfed in a similar way that they have been for the wilderness...
  15. Lemmy clarify and condense my point of my article (since theres some confusion): People are training herblore like crazy (and why shouldnt they, Overload is awesome)... But for the advantage an Overload gives, shouldn't it be somehow visible? Or should the Overload be slightly nerfed for PvP combat? Knowing that nerfing the Overlaod isnt likely to happen (or is it?), should we then progress towards other non combat skills being used in combat? And ending it with a bad pun = bad pun... I must apologise, it isn't one of my stronger articles... I will promise that an explanation for this will follow next time an article of mine is published, and that one will be of the quality you've become accustomed to from me!
  16. Found it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kspPE9E1yGM Improvement.... If you ask me :P
  17. TBH, I laughed my ass off... Especially since someone recently pasted me a link of a Bieber clip that made me almost pee myself... Will post it when I find it...
  18. Sweet :D I never post screenshots anyways, but... The anti trolling one is the one I feel most glad about... +1
  19. People here are somehow equating this to the ACTUAL Tip.it Times, but that's wrong... I even thought Bladewing was smart enough to know this, but evidence proves otherwise... So let me start by saying that this article would not have been published as such, nor would it have been published for a while even if it WAS better written/cited/formulated but only due to the topic being covered in length and depth recently... Misfortune shouldn't have put his article here as well as submit it as a Times article... This is just a forum post, but it could have been an article that had been scrutinized by the volunteers at the Editorial Panel... A missed opportunity if you ask me... That said, the reactions here (mostly people demanding the 3 minutes it took to read the article back) pretty much prove why there are rules specific for the Times' article discussion threads are in place... All this borderline (I'm not stating which side of it) flaming is what deters people from actually giving proper critical feedback. Moreover it also deters newer people to these boards such as Misfortune from ever put in the effort in another shot at this... This is a sad day for these forums if you ask me...
  20. Cuz they know YOU want it... Therefor they dont do it :D
  21. Reason I'd like to sue bot apologists is actually a valid one: You WANT botting to happen... If it doesn't, you'll say something along the lines of "I much rather gather those D bones myself now, but back when botting existed, I'd pay them to do it.." JUST LIKE you said you wish to see more Pure Ess botters in order to drop the price even more... Money = incentive, therefor you are encouraging botting :) This goes for pretty much anyone who much rather sees these low prices due to botting, as opposed to normal prices if actual players were gathering that stuff...
  22. I'm MUCH MORE for sueing these bot apologists and enablers... YOU are encouraging others to break the rules, therefor, you have broken the rules, and therefor you must be banned permanently...
  23. I'm not so sure. Jagex has a way of [bleep]ing stuff up, Runehead might end up much better. No I think he called it... Runehead highscores may cease to be useful...
