  1. There's an entire community eagerly anticipating this, but few of those people frequent Tip.it... All the more reason for Jagex to come up with truly enticing ways to lure a typical Tip.iter to the wild, and all the more reason for me to write about it :)
  2. Jagex Account Guardian JAG Jaaaaaaaaag http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7eWIrBOc3zE
  3. TBH, the title was the hardest for me to come up with... A rarity for me :) But yea; the Avatar with the XP boost out does consolidate clans more to their homeworld...
  4. While true, I think I also understand WHY they aren't as good as they ought to be... If they give clans too much benefits, they get the entire non-clan world rioting in fally again... If they give clans only the ever so slight benefit they cant complain that they got nothing, but the non-clan ppl cant argue that its too much either... Hence the weak crap...
  5. Someone pointed out to me (thanks for that) that my article was copied almost word for word to the RSOF, as has Jonanananas' been earlier by the same person... While I think imitation is the sincerest form of flatery, I will never put up an article on the RSOF as long as it's still featured on Tip.it itself... [qfc]15-16-958-63917492[/qfc] is the thread in question, and has gathered about 7 pages of "nice article, too bad its plagiarisms" posts... As you can see, people praised the "author" highly for his "work"... Don't worry, I'll put it up there once the next articles are featured on the Times... It seems THERE they thought it was worth discussing ;)
  6. Does anyone know what the poin is of aligning yourself with a faction? Humans, Goblins, Werewolves/Vampyres, Gnomes/Fairies, Elves, and Monkeys/other Apes are the choices given to us, but other than a bit of history and appearance, I see little difference...
  7. You forget one thing: Repeat business... Many people that buy, well, everything, will enjoy the game for a much shorter period of time. People that take the unfunded road are much more likely to stay on that road if they also get to see some interesting stuff along the way... So, IVP - Jagex has effectively chosen to sacrifice long term stability for short term gains, a trend that has historically never been a good decision...
  8. Aren't the total subscribers somewhere along the lines of 700k-800k?
  9. They slap that on the end of every future update post. Still a potential get out clause if the darts prove popular enough, similar to subject to availability clauses on sale items in shops. They try not to run out but if they do customer has no grounds for complaints. This clause on the end of posts just serves the same purpose or has the potential to, they say now items won't be sold in Solomon's store or put on SOF, but just wait til IVP get greedier or Solomon's store proves less of a profit maker than expected. Then I expect fully to see all 4 items for sale. I distrust Jagex ever since the whole no more free trade/wildy U-turn and removal of real life clause of RWT rule after SOF buyable spins were released. funny thing is that "subject to availability" is illegal in the EU: if you see it is sold out & they are planning to get the same item again later, you are in full rights to expect the reduction - given you were in the shop at the time of the sale. Only if they don't get that item anymore they are not obligated. Those clauses in a normal environment hold no meaning as the goal - obscuring information for customers - is against the honour code on advertisement. Well it's legal in the UK, or a lot of major companies are breaking the law. Could be legal in the UK; that's what you get for living in a country that weasels itself out of the EU for whatever reason they think is right... Obviously lying to your potential customers is a reason now?
  10. Prolly the same reason you cannot comment or like/dislike any of their YT vids either... This tells me, much like many religious posters, that they know damn well what they are doing isn't going to be liked by the vast and sane majority... So open to any feedback? Forget that.
  11. Can you guys stop the flamewar? Yes, social pressure works to deter people from RWT-ing... But writing a post in a thread on page x isn't going to work... Wanna tell a lot more people at the same time? Make a sig or something...
  12. Sad part is people are buying them. Someone bought the assassin already And tbh, the constructors outfit looks MUCH better as this...
  13. Let's see if this means anything: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solomon_of_England Just started googling Soloman... Him being the king of Israel was simply too easy to comment on, so I looked at the disambiguation list... That particular one sprung out :)
  14. Jagex; if you know what skills suck to train, why don't you make some cool updates to those skills? Someone yesterday on IRC said this as well... TBH; this is but a matter of time and will probably happen after the lvl 90 weapons come out, so chaotics aren't as valuable anymore...
  15. Best method indeed depends on what you want: -most XP/h -fewest GP/XP -most GP/h -least clicks/most afk-able -high-end untradable rewards (Tiger Shark, Overload, etc) Some of these goals are combined, best example being the Runespan... There's the first mistake :S But yes, this does mean there are only up to 5 features to a skill that will be used...
  16. Sad but true, but what I've started to notice around the community isn't a pretty sight... People that hate the SoF are tired of trying to fight it, and slowly are becoming complacent... It's hardly a surprise this is happening though, you can't rage every single time there is an update to the SoF (the reactions on my 2nd article on this kinda showed that)... Now, I know that it's a world of difference between being OK with the SoF, and silently resenting it... But if you get bludgeoned enough with something (weekly in this case), you eventually become desensitized and your opposition to it will eventually and inevitably become de facto silenced... Watch the changing landscape, fellas... You're basically witnessing a slow-mo trainwreck...
  17. Also; I have no territory :) I was joking (I kinda thought that was obvious)
  18. The other writers wouldn't dare to take over my job :)
  19. Muggiwhplar; you know damn well that there is a whole slew of issues that the majority has with the SoF... Sort-of almost deconstructing the reasoning behind one issue (a minor one at that in my opinion), makes the SoF's existance as a whole far FAR from absolved... You do realise this, don't you?
  20. So it appears that buying 10 spins is now the best value for money... Anything to get people to cross that line at least once...
