  1. make the KBD spawn a helluva lot faster...
  2. Ive found an easy and quick solution to this... Normally these types of attacks are done by bots... I have prevented unregistered users from being able to spam my forums, and while some bots have an auto-register thing built in, even THOSE cant get past my security... All they have to do is answer the question right of how many days there are in a leapyear (something very easily googled)... But since bots have no code written into themselves to take these kinds of things into accoutns, they will leave the question blank... Result: no account is created with which they can spam...
  3. Glad you decided to wait, dustin... Personally, I hope that you wait till when the Free For All arenas come out, and fully understand what those can mean for us, before you consider doing the next MSSW... The Spirit of this event has been one where ALL people can fight for their site, not just a select few...
  4. Could very well be... If anything, I think Ventrillo or something similar and equally unlaggy should be used... Hell, some people might even use the orbs to scout and shout where the piles are... (or do stuff like that in clanchat when you're dead... @y_guy_4_life: Yes, I am... and not 100... I want 150 people with 99 stats in att, def, str, hp, and atleast 80+ prayer... And I want them to have some experience in wars too... Tip.it has these people, I'm 100% sure of it...
  5. Ive been talking to various people, all related and dedicated and able to make this MSSW3.5 a success... Should this be taking place on Conclave or CIC? or both? new forum perhaps? IRC channel?
  6. Das and I had a brief conversation about this... His idea was basicly to take the very people we KNOW that have experience as well as 99 Attack, Strength, Defense, and Hitpoints, as well as a high Prayer level and invite them personally and list those as Tip.it's champions... You'd be surprised what we can come up with... In the mean time I've also resorted to thinking outside the box, and see what we can come up with as possible counter-strategies... We (and by that I mean Das) think that we have a real shot defeating RSC and the best of the best that the largest portion of the clanworld has to offer... But without a doubt, if this is goign to happen, it will be the most epic battle ever to take place in Clanwars... And none of us can watch it, because the clanchats are full...
  7. Thats odd to say the least... This is the one thing that is a 90% sure victory for RSC... Dustin will know more about this I suspect
  8. I pretty much agreed with what N_Odie said... I never said it should be me who is supposed to be the leader, but I saw this thread pretty early, and threw myself up to rally all of tipit again and p[erhaps organise the 100 champions who are goign to fight for us... I was never expecting myself to fight in a war, as I'm only level 103 f2p (109 p2p), and tbh, sometimes in a matched ops war with my clan, I myself dont even fight... But I did a whole lot of organising behind the scenes, and did pretty much everything humanly possible rallying people and encouraging them to be on time, writing guides and all of that... I was merely offering to do the same once more... That said, I have a solution to this crisis about it being all in clanwars with a maximum of 100 people present: Call this MSSW 3½ and not MSSW 4... That way, there is no doubt that this is a non-so-serious war, meant to keep the plebians entertainedwhile we wait for the real deal: An all out everyone vs everyone, with a chance to hit your own type of war...
  9. Also, 1 hour apart per battle isnt goign to work either... Jagex said that they would release the freeforall areas pretty soon, atleast this year... I'm sorry Dustin, but if a plan like the one you put up was goign to work, we wouldve had the MSSW4 a long time ago already... It needs some major remodelling... Jagex quote: I strongly urge you to wait for those free for all areas...
  10. I understand why you chose the clans and who they fight... But I sent you a forum PM, please read it, and if possible, discuss it with me tomorrow...
  11. I shall take this cup on me once again and organise the best army (instead of the largest) ever assembled... Expect a massive campaigning routine like last time for this... Although I would request that Tip.it would not be matched against RSC straight away... Epic battles early on just arent as fun as them being the latest possible in the tournament... But as Lord Troyus said, isnt it bst to wait for the free-for-all areas? Or atleast till they release the renewed version of Clanwars?
  12. Can there please be a color for the article writing people (be it clan chronicle or tipit times?)
  13. *as Homer* Hmmmmmmmmm..... Danishhhh *gorgle and drool*
  14. Spellbook vs Spellbook in combat, sure, Ancients win, as they are CENTERED around doing damage... However, a Melee/Range hybrid using Vengeance can do a lot of damage... The Melee/Ancient person however, has Blood Barrage, which cancels part of the Vengeance spell out (Blood Barrage heals 25% damage done, and Vengeance throws 75% back, meaning you effecivly return only 50% of damage done)... But the Melee/Ancient has no protection against Diamon (e) bolts, so Ranging him is effective... If melee/range wants to win, keep ranging the Ancienter and cast Vengeance as much as possible... If the Ancienter switches armor to barrows with a Godsword, go melee yourself, dds speccing your opponent... The Ancienter is forced to use Blood Barrage or the SGS spec to stay ahead of the curve... The SGS is quite slow, and using mage armor leaves you wid eopen to range... Its a close call and a lot of it depends on the proper execution of actions in the proepr order, as well as timing them, but I have to give the win to Lunar here...
  15. Actually, they are the symbols for: Air bolt (aka Modern magic) Blood Barrage (aka Ancient Magiks) and Vengeance (aka Lunar spellbook)
  16. What do you mean by the highlighted part? What does the Sanfew serum do exactly? Sounds like you are saying that it has the same propriety as Super Restore. Thats because it does! :D Sanfew Serums are made from Super Restore Potions... By adding some Nailbeast Nails, Ground Unicorn Horn and a Snakeweed, you give the properties of a Cure Poison and Recilyms Balm to the Super Restore Potion... This means that a Sanfew Serum: - Heals all stats and prayer per normal Super Restore (now includes restoring lost Summoning points) - Cures you of any Poison, and makes you immune for 10 seconds - Reduces the effect of any Disease (the yellow stat reducing splashes) - And acts as an awesome weapon against Nailbeasts, damaging them. The only thing it doesn't do is heal your Hitpoints, and sadly No Sanfew Mixes can be made... These potions would be used far and wide if the Snapdragon herbs and seeds weren't so hard to come by...
  17. All I hope for is a 2nd "Are you REALLY sure?" screen with all the options displayed to prevent scamming...
  18. Pasted the finished banner up there... I'll make it a rotating picture if more turn up :)
  19. To one of the posters above me: I dont think jagex is stupid enough to let RWT happen through clanwars by having bots die in masses for you... I think Lose Items on Death mans they're gone... permanently... Anywho, I dont think the Firemaking update will NOT take place in Varrock, but rather in the stretch between Paterdomus and the Chaos Temple just northwest of the Goblin Village... one thing this beacon lighting reminded me of was this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuyGN1Rdqo0&fmt=18 <-- high quality http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuyGN1Rdqo0 <--- plain quality the Great Orb Project sounds to me a somewhat less boring then "run click tele bank" standard runecrafting... Hope its fun :) something like dodgeball perhaps?
  20. So is there any change after people have been dismissing familiars on it for a while? Seems to me we havent discoverred all its secrets yet...
  21. Indeed, and since with the proper know-how, you can rip through other people like Spartans through Persians... Piles are indeed less needed in p2p, and we wouldnt live up to our reputation if we didnt create our own strategy to take full advantage of that fact...
  22. Shard mining at level 75, not lower if AT ALL...
  23. Thanks for the compliments, but so far we haven't really had to look hard at stuff, and most of this info is out there already... I guess we're in a unique position to highlight these tidbits for you, but anyone really can... I think I remember when we were at Clanwars randomly warring other clans... I dont remember getting my behind handed to me though :P Couldve been a non-official event, organised by the members themselves :) For the record though: I lead this humble clan, and I am a regular Tip.it Times writer, as is DeathMath who is also a member of my clan. This puts us in a unique position to slap our own Did You Know along with the articles on quite a few occasions... The fact that our articles are often targetted by the Letters to the editor means a whole lot to us, and encourages us to keep up the quality of the works... More often then not though, I have trouble finding a subject with an uncommon angle to write something about, so if anyone has any suggestions, feel free to PM me or Deathmath...
