OK, enough with the "why things happened"... We all know what the current status is, and it is that things arent good, and msot stuff is worked on. People voiced their opinion, and right now a select group of people have been invited to a private section of the forums to help bring into focus what steps would REALLY help... Lets continue this conversation there, because thigns liek that should be discussed calmly and with positive attitude in there. Expect to see my full outline of The Conclave soon, as well as some suggestions for CTET, as some potential clans to invite over (I have contacts with Nemesis)...

Ok after everyone has taken a chance to produce some feedback to my post, as well as me having talked with several people, I will now try to formulate what I think is needed, and why. Starting with the why. A long time ago TIF was the main forum for clans. They left for reasons I dont want to go into now, but let it suffice to say that those old clans arent exactly eager to return to tipit. Atleast not now. Efforts are being undertaken to have TIF offer soemthing that the other major clan community doesnt have. Ctet was one of those things, but as said before it is far from what it should be. This will take time, and no I dont think that scrapping it is a solution, instead perhaps a STRONG re-affirmation of what Ctet should be is needed (and yes I have some dieas about this, ofc). I know that most Ctet are quite inexperienced, but again most are atleast willing to put in the effort required. However a few of them just dont seem to get any of this. That's ok for now, the Ctet is new and not well known just yet, but this can change fast, and one of those ways is to indeed dump those who only had hoped to ride on Ctet's coattail, and replace them by people who know their stuff. I hope that Tallest1 and I can sit down for a chat sometime, which i'm sure he wants to as well. Then we can bounces ideas and suggestions off of eachother. Something I'll also do with Bufo. It can not yet be installed yet, I fully agree. For this a lot has to happen. I've talked with Sheynara about it, and we both agreed that Ctet and the Conclave should be built up seperately and independant of eachother. A few days ago I had hoped to spark a bit of political discussions by posting the treaty between my clan and Militos Deci, however it was removed for reasons I still cant phantom. This doesnt really help anyone. Over time I will start to talk with the clans already resident on tipit, and perhaps one of our future allies if they're willing to help bring this conclave about. Judging from both pictures, Varrock may soon be under attack by a horde summoned by a Necromancer. Lead by Lord Drakon and his followers/kin. Signs of this you already saw during the latest 2 of the Myreque quests. Wasnt it always said that the River Salve and his holy waters blessed by Saradomin would stop any evil creatures? Well if you ask me, Vyrewatch and Vampyre Lords can easily get around. A little background info: Zamouregal was one of many Mahjarrat who, together with Lord Drakan and Zamorak turned on Zaros. So if anything, I doubt it is Zaros coming back, but rather Zamorak thats trying to walk this earth again. Poor Drezel, we will miss him.

can someone describer the sound then a bit better? perhaps even record it? cuz perhaps i am hearing the wrong sound and ive been in every square near the big fountain in the center of varrock perhaps post a screeny of what squares you hear the sound at?

ugh... nooblets... the sound in the bank is the sound of cash registers, calculators, and those little bells that go TING! when a door hits them when someone enters... The sound in varrock center at the fountain is definitly the monkey that used to hang out witht he fur trader...

I think a general eastern land skill should come out. Just like you need agility to operate crystal stuff, so too would you need certain eastern skills to operate simple things from the Bo Staff, right up to the Katana, or plant rice, or make composite bows, or whatever you can dream up..

Ofcourse RSC won... They have all the larger clans fighting for them, and those are usually the peolpe who have the most experience on the battlefield...

In training, hitting NPC's and unarmored people; yes, scimy wins... However, when dueling or PK-ing the MASSIVE crush attack bonus (+92, with my other equipment added its +114) as well as its special that doubles your chance to hit, I'd pick an Anchor any day... Scimitar just fails too often to penetrate my opponents armor, even with a defender. It's especially hard to hit through that +82 slash defense penance torso :P Equipment stats other then strength bonuses do matter, guys.

Why a Snelm, when you can protect form Range?

The Dragon Mace got completely owned when Barrelchest Anchor came out tbh... Maybe it has 2 less specs, but it has a double chance to hit. Not top mention a MAHOOSIVE crush attack bonus (with my equipment, its dialed up to +114). In equal level fights, my equipment beats a Veracs set in 1 vs 1 about 60% of the time.

Care to explain that one? Is there a prayer altar inside Paterdomus? There's a Level 65 shortcut over the fence to the Temple on the Salve. There is an altar inside. I never knew this, but this makes it a whole lot easier now :)

What tactics do you use? What food do you give your compagnon? Note that this is all based on taking the weakest charachter on the most difficult paths... I may substitute the Darklight with something else if it proves that it performs less on Vampyre Juvenates. I COULD substitute it for a charged Rellekkan Lyre (which is where my POH is), to recharge my prayer and tele back to Canifis. God-specific prayers would be nice. It could require you to wield an item of that god (be it a Platebody, a stole, symbol, or even book)... Some ideas off the top of my head (It goes without sayng that you can only use this prayer, much like a protection prayer or smite at a time, and they are lvl 70 to use): For Saradomin; Enlightened Aura, You cannot attack or cast spells or take any other action other then walk or run. You have ALL protection Prayers on, and you and everyone around you in the 3x3 square have their HP recharge rate doubled, and Poison cured. The curing of the Poison will drain the Prayer of the one activating Enlightened Aura like the Holy Book from The Great Brain Robbery quest does. For Zamorak; Sphere of Chaos, All missle and magic and otherwise attacks from over a distance are directed to another random person or NPC found on your minimap. Each attack drains an extra Prayer Point. For Guthix; Walk of Tranquility, Every person trying to attack you is teleported to a random teleport spot on your spellbook. This does not use runes, and costs 5 Prayer Points for each person teleported away. Just some thougths :)

Did you not realise that it is his clan that has won the events Tal_shiar Oh, he knows all too well that all clanbased events we participated, were the ones we won... However, on the recruitment boards I'm supposed to profile my clan, put it in the spotlight... I much rather do that here, if at all... Back on topic: I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. I'm also glad that people take this as some constructive criticism, instead of a flame. As for the Conclave/UN/EU thingymajigger, I'd like to be there every step of the way during its development, but a serious clan gathering should take place first. It is also a perfect opportunity for CTET to pay a role in it, although it could cause some problems, because tipit-affiliated people have to remain neutral in clan affairs (or atleast I presume that).

Time for some constructive criticism. First off, I'd like to apologize in advance for anyone that gets offended with this post, but I have posted some ideas to people, so far with little result. I decided to go public with these ideas to get some support for them and get them implemented(power of many), because a PM to someone with them generally doesnt seem to work. The thing I'll discuss are supposed to be helpfull. If CTET is meant to put new life in the Clan Section of tipit, then they better do things properly before clans actually start to come here... IF clans actually start to come here... The very first thing I'd like to suggest is a large meeting. The lot of CTET should be there, as well as the Clan Leaders with their entourage. This means that (in my case) I'd bring myself and my officers (all 4 of them). The goal of this meeting would be to have CTET hear what clans would like to see, and more-over what CTET requires from the clans to make this thing a success. We ARE willing to help, but there are limits to our cooperation :) Some topics of conversation would be the time of the events (not everyone can make 8pm GMT), the type of events, and anything else that people can come up with. At the same time Clan leaders can meet eachother and discuss any inter-clan things. I suggest the top floor of Keldagrims massive palace for this, if everyone can come p2p. Another thing I'd like to point out is the clans that sign up to participate in an event, that pull out hours or mere minutes before the start. I know I did this myself once, but we couldnt comply witht he rules at the time. For this I suggest an entry fee for clans (fixed ammount per member for total clan size), as well as a rule where they have to cancel atleast 24 hours in advance, or their fee gets put in the CTET funds. This should ensure the participation to some extend of the clans, and CTET can then plan accordingly. The events itself should be clan-based. 1 team vs 1 team events can be fun, but they dont show off the cunning of a single clan. Obviously mixing them up like the 4 Tower Event is a good way to get to know eachother, but in the midst of battle, theres other things to do then to have a chat... The bronze war was a good try. With more sides, it would be a lot more fun as you never know who you'll meet in battle, it also opens up a lot more options in defeating certain people as you can bribe and scheme yourself into neat little pacts... It comes down to organization as well. Some of the CTET people are more skilled with this then others, especially with aspects like conveying what the goal of an event is, troubleshooting, and general flexibility. Just browse the ctet boards and you can see where things tend to go wrong. This could use some improvement. The last thing I wish to post about is the idea some people had of making some sort of Conclave for clans. I've had this idea rolling around and bounced it off of several people already, but none of them seemed to care enough to help me push this idea through. This conclave of clans would funtion similar to the EU or UN, member clans that work together for a common goal. Ofcourse, tipit would have to remain neutral in these affairs, as any other fansite wouldn't pick a side. How it would be ruled would depend completely on what the clans involved can agree to. It could be with certain permanent members (aka founders), and some (a lot) of the other clans also being a member, but perhaps not permanently. These things can be worked out over time, but most importantly, it's not going to determine how you run your clan. Instead, it's going to provide you a place to settle disputes between clans. Maybe up to the point where it can provide some neutral observers in a war, them determining who wins, and keeping an eye out for cheaters or pact breakers. Or take it to the next level, and have 2 clans stake eachother with the neutral observers, winner takes all. Another thing that would make clans want to join it, is to set up a small junior clan for it. It'd be like a school, with all the members providing teachers, who will make sure that the "graduates" are ready to join any clan in this conclave thing. That was all for now. Hope it was wortht he read. PS: I'd also like to take this opportunity to STRONGLY REQUEST to have the CTET events moved back 1 hour (21:00 GMT). Its much more convinient for both Central Europe (22:00) and Australia (7:00).

Completely agree... These days people wanna be the great massive leaders they think they can be, but they forget the fact that it is a lot of unapreciated hard work. Only on rare occasions is your title working FOR you... Thats why many clans crash right after take-off... The problem is that it takes down anyone that joined with it, and they'll usually never want to be in a clan again...
