Small updates on our Clan: Sadly, after more then a year of loyal service, Master Sergeant Deiophobus has moved on from Tal Shiar to seek happiness in another clan called Gielenor Faction. We still talk to him all the time because he still hangs about in the channel, and has proposed some form of cooperation. This means that now Lord Troyus and Spatulus have both the honor of helping people to go from applying to becomign a fully integrated member of the clan, and have been promoted to Master Sergeant. An addendum to the Pact we have with Militos Deci; Lord Troyus (from Tal Shiar) and Armybuilder (from Militos Deci) are both liasons between the clans.

The use for a hasta seems pretty obvious to me... sacrifice your defense, and wield it together with a rune defender to get you these offensive stats: +56 +55 +54 -3 -2 || +10 +9 +9 -3 -12 || +47 +0 Combine that with some other good and low level armor like Penance Torso, some RFD gloves, rune boots and the like... And you can have yourself at a very low level, some relativly accurate and powerfull weapons... That poison too!

I must agree, mining is becoming more popular (as have the gemrocks been) as prices of roes are slowly rising... The only people who gain cash over this mroe are the miners. Everyone else (smither buying the ores or bars, fletcher buying the arrowheads and unifinished bolts, etc) is losing cash over this... Re-distribution of wealth anyone? And it can already be seen in the price of what is quite possibly the most stable item EVER: Coal... It is the most RELIABLE item, having taken a year to go from 100-150 each to 150-200 each, it doesnt fluctuate, it doesnt crash or surge, it always stays steady. If Coal changes value, then you can speak of in or de-flation... The current coal prices are 170-210 each at time of writing (instead of 150-200), so most are bought and sold at 200 each... Side note: Lvl 83 smithy here, for anyone wanting to have their addy done :)

Time for some updates on Tal Shiar. Recently we had quite an influx of members, and most of them will be added soon to our lists on runehead. Seems that having won all but 2 Ctet events does have an effect on people... I would also like this opportunity to state that we have made some good pacts and treaties these last few weeks. To name a few: We are currently in negotiation with Nemesis (yes... THE Nemesis, look em up on runehead) to discuss what sort of treaties there'll be possible between such a powerful clan, and lil ole us. We've also arranged some sort of unofficial trade agreement with *-P.K. Masters-*. Basicly we buy supplies from them at set prices. So if you want to get rich on f2p, join them :) And last but not least, we have an agreement with Militos Deci about joint PK trips and marketplace events. Ok, so I've killed 148 black dragons now (counting the hides :)), and prety fast too (with cannon and addy bolts, with a total of +180 range att bonus)... You're saying that i'm still more then 10k kills away from the drop? Ok I can accept that too... But the best drop I had was an adamant platebody. I also had a few mithril 2hs and baxes, but mostly it was junk like adamant throwing darts, or javelins, or sapphires, or coins, or the worst of them all: just the dhide and d bones... Yes I wear ring of wealth... So, anyone got an explanation..?

There has been a graphic animation update of the way you pump at the Blast Furnace... I think that has caused these pumps to appear...

So far, unpotted, unprayed, at lvl 73 range, with addy bolts and runite xbow, with a total offensive bonus of +180 range attack, i've hit a 19.

Ancient Mace spec is usefull for things like Temple Trekking. At Wyverns, I'd much rather use a dark bow spec, to do certified damage. If you wish to lower the defense of your target, a Charged Guthix Claws is the way to go. You may also consider Snipe special attack from the Dorgeshuun xbow...

Ehm, wrong... SOOOOOOOOO wrong... Guthix created this world, and he was a god in being long before Saradomin, Zamorak, or even Zaros ever walked this world.... Spot on. Those loyalists were the other of the group that Zamorak belonged to. The Mahjarrat. Zamorak at the time was a mere human, but some others from the Mahjarrat are: Azzenadra (the one who remained loyal to Zaros as it was his father), Malak, Farreed, Dessous, Kamil, Damis, The Oracle, Hazeel, Lucien, and one of the most powerfull still around: Lord Drakan. Senntisten is the city dug up at the Digsite, an ancient stronghold of Zaros. It was later captured by Saradomin and renamed Saranthium. If you wish to learn a lot more, finish Varrock Museum (get 153 kudos), and re-read it all. Also a great source is my Accurate History of Runescape post from a while back. A lot of questions were asked in that topic, so its worth reading through all of it.

We got ourselves a big untradable achievement goign on known as a Fire Cape. But many things in RS are related to the 4 elements... So do you think there'll be a Water Cape, Earth Cape, or Air Cape? If so, what do you think is possibly the things you have to do for it? And what would its abilities and stats be? If youre goign to discuss in this topic: MAKE SURE THAT YOUR IDEAS MAKE SENSE... This is how you make cider, yes... good for farming if I'm not mistaken... To make axemans folly heres the routine: - 2 Buckets of Water - 2 Barley Malt - 1 'The Stuff' from trouble brewing to increase the chances of making a mature folly - 1 Oak Root - 1 Pot of Ale Yeast Listen to the contents starting to bubble, and examine the barrel to see whats brewin. I'd like the opportunity to ask for support for having another Brewing Vat in a yet to be made basement of the cooking guild!

If you think about it really hard, you'll see that using crossbows really depends on the ammo used. You need lots of bolts for this and they are hard to obtain unless you are rich, have a high smithing and mining level, or get lucky... In the end, the mining skill contributes a LOT to the use of Crossbows. I truly believe that if people mined gems and higher level ores (addy and runite) more, or if they'd become easier to mine, or if there'd be a small chance for 2 ores form a rock (perhaps this chance increases with higher level?), then people would seriously consider using xbows (cbow = crystal, ya numbnuts)... Thoughts?

The bow also seems hugely oversized for anything we currently know in that color. but yes, Guthix created the world. Zamorak stole his godlyness from Zaros just before the height of the godwars in the 3rd age. I've written a topic about the history of runescape in its entirety, its worth a search for it.
