Makoto, I've been a part of both the Addictinggames and Miniclip communities in the past, so I know first-hand what it's like. I don't get what's wrong with me saying that those communities are generally more immature than the existing Runescape community.

Most people should know that they do this to increase profit, and I don't think that was the general focus of the thread. I think this thread is more about the effect it'll have on the community, and I agree with those who say it'll have a negative impact.

Wow, the Adze really looks useful. This may have been asked already but if you wear the ring or glove while using the Adze, do you get extra xp for those logs burned too?

Pretty good summer, I reached the 1k milestone while achieving some skill goals. I also visited China for about two and a half weeks. 8-)

I rarely go on HD, I only do when I'm getting bored because HD makes it look neater. Therefore I don't think I take it for granted.

I am one of those people who don't expect extra recognition for achieving a level while being f2p. While I do think it is more difficult, in the end it is our choice so it shouldn't warrant too much more praise than a p2p level. I honestly don't see where all of the p2p-f2p hostility comes from anyways.

I don't think any of you started playing the game to learn things, it's just something you try at rationalize it with. That being said, I support parents who don't want their children to play too many video games.

Wow, what's with the constant f2p bashing? All of these discussions end up with people just saying how stupid f2p'ers are. :roll: Back on topic though, for reasons already mentioned I doubt skill capes will ever be for f2p.

If your only excuse for wanting these items is that you didn't know about the game, then tough luck really. I don't have most of the older items too, but it really would be unfair to those who got the original. Also ssbmbeliever, it is very frustrating to read your posts because it seems like you keep completely missing the point people are trying to make.

Wow, this topic sure has turned nasty pretty quickly. Anyways, I don't think the price increase is that much. It's only 11 extra dollars for a year, and for one year only it appears. -

They were probably tired of people complaining about updates, so they have the polls so that they'll at least hit the majority of players. I do agree though that surprises are always nice, so I think that would be a good resolution to still have polls, just not make the results public.
