  1. SGS is better for most bosses then most people will tell you. All GWD apart from arma its a nice solid weapon and special helps so much its stupid. I can use piety all bandos and zammy kills with void and all sara with veracs. You can pretty much live off the SGS spec alone. DK's well I love SGS+Balsung for hybriding (uni+SGS with veracs and I get over healed) and maging having 5+ extra prayer potions every so often helps cut down on scrolls. TD's will I was there last night and double 40+ sgs specs over healed me as well as massively reduced my prayer usage. Bork (boss of sorts) 2 SGS specs will give you enough prayer so you never need prayer potions even at 70 prayer.
  2. 10 hours is a fair estimate, if you get into a good clan then it could be as low as 8 hours, but 10 is far more average.
  3. 2. Summoning exp isn't the same as pure crimsons, you'll get enough exp from closer to 2k of crimsons as the golds, greens and blues add up a lot more then people ever take into account. ~270 crimsons per 1k of casts, about 500 casts per hour. 135/crimsons per hour. So thats roughly 11k of casts for all your crimsons. Which would take about 22 hours. However using golds, greens and blues its much closer to 8k casts in about 16 hours.
  4. Get 2 more combat levels the higher boats are more points per game and it soon adds up. As for the clan I just used w144 and rolled with the punches so to speak.
  5. Nope if you read the passage rare drops are the same for all monsters. Therefore the rare drops a level 3 dwarf has have to the be the same as corp. The rune items is either a typo or they have incorrectly written the article. Highlighted are the questionable statements. On one side they say the rare drops are locked in a completely sperate table and never change only they frequency against a monster. However goblins don't drop rune items nor do about 20% of dragon half shield droppers, infact I've never ever seen nor heard of a goblin dropping a half shield or dragon spear (excluding graa who is classed as a goblin). Which means there could be multiple rare drop tables however they state is a single shared table. Contradictions, contradictions, contradictions. Welcome to the reason I was doubtful of the article in the first place.
  6. As easy as I can make without confusing people. Dragon items are spears and half shields. The rest are monster specific and therefore standard or very rare drops. Any item which is not gems, half keys or the 2 mentioned dragon items are not classed as rare drops and not affected by RoW.
  7. I don't know how your supposed to interpret it. Visage is a 3rd drop like clue scrolls, but I've never ever seen shards or hilts has the same 3rd drop style. IMO this confuses matters. If shards which are more common then GWD armour/weapons and certain slayer drops aren't affected by RoW are those other drops? As the article seems to class them as very rare which whip is more rare then a shard drop (if you could only kill as many graa's as you can abyssal demons). So the only rare drop table is dragon spears, gems and half keys? :wall: As the rare drop table never changes according to that post. That is the biggest load of **** ever if they had said that in the first place I would have never used RoW ever. I still feel its not quite right though.
  8. My quess is it used up its RoL effect and it killed the timer down directly to 30 seconds. Looks like you used a ship then ate 2 lots of food using up the 30 seconds of the timer. So it dismissed itself.

I believe the bonus kicks in after the first hit. Strength bonus is always the same as piety 15% of 34 = 5 so as long as you opponent has 34 or high attack its equal to peity. Anything over is better then piety of course.
  10. Salamander is the only weapon with 3 attack styles. It limits its melee usefulness with low damage as well as magic and range usefulness with the proximity. Avis are unmelee able, however as the salamander never touches the avis only the flames its not a full melee attack. Its our version of waterfiends ranged magic attack only ranged melee. No to d hally yes to salamander.
  11. Pest control fixing the gates.
  12. 1. Avis are good money, yaks are fast exp (busy though) and if you have some gp to burn there are chins and cannon (cannoning wallaski is great for charms and range exp). Don't use dark bow to train, its a terrible weapon. Magic shortbow is better, but rune cbow with broad bolts or knives are the best (depending on which method you use). 2. I prefer the CT (3 spots, quick to bank and no revs), but others like the wildy near clan wars along with a cannon. 3. They change too often to give a decent answer. Only way to profit/break even is to collect the herbs yourself or get RSI from cleaning herbs. 4. SC hammer and the best plate bodies you can make. Powermine granite or iron with kyatt for some gp.
  13. Only in RS thats strange Try this Start->Control panel -> region settings Make sure there all the same language as you use.
  14. Make sure you pray melee as those things hit much, much harder then normal bloodvelds and its multi so its pretty easy to die. Use a fort.... bracelet (forget the full name) with the abyss to get there. Its literally 2 clicks once your at the blood altar.
  15. I would take 3 range potions, better to keep boosting then to have some slow kills.
  16. Is the pet just for show or does it actually have any worthwhile abilities? If not that seems a pretty poor quest.
  17. mmm I could just eat cookies and chocolate milk.
  18. Looks like you'll have to uninstall the game then install it again. However if its a large patch I'm sure if you wait all the servers will update too.
  19. My personal list of to check places. 5th GWD door Desert city (m something) Obsidian area (there was a hidden fairy ring right?) Elven gates
  20. Should be fun. O looks like I was right on the RC'ing update.
  21. They are amazing slayer/range exp if you have the gp. If you don't have enough for about 2k of cannonballs per bloodveld task I wouldn't bother cannoning them. The quest is pretty nice and the reward is ok. Worth doing if only for the QP.
  22. FYI you can get null on your cursor if you use bones on an altar (offer all) then right click one of the bones and select use, wait for it to be offered by the offer all and your cursor will now say use null. I've seen images of the null dwarf before, but I've yet to have the little fellow myself.
  23. Like summoning, slayer, hp or herblore? They all have to intertwine with other skills or its practically impossible to level. Whats herblore without combat or other skills? Nothing at all. Summoning, HP, Herblore and Slayer are pretty much support skills. Alone there practically useless but with other skills there amazing. @me I don't see how it wouldn't. Combine small boosts from prayer, herblore and summoning as well as small bits crafting, agility, smithing and other manufacturing skills into a skill would work. Make some of them have area effects similar to lunar/ancient spells as well as the ability to team chant/sing (adding to the community changes) for larger boosts.
  24. Nice post. It could even be something like singing/chanting. Sounds stupid, but it could be implemented in numerous ways. Stat recover, boosts to levels, repairing crystal items (allowing for future crystal weapons), boosting others, speeding up certain things (farming grow times for example) and so on. Would make a killer advancement to the elven story as well. Well I can hope.
  25. Farming is easy. Plant herbs and flowers (marigolds or limpwurts), use the profits to buy fruit trees and normal trees. Herblore, use the herbs from farming as well as MTK herbs (you get a lot from there) then kill herb droppers while you wait. Sell any you can't use and it shouldn't take too long to level. Remember you can stew/pot to the requirements.
