  1. I wouldn't use Avis as they are slow exp (35k is pretty much the max exp per hour) and get boring after a while (I did 67 to 79 there). Theres a few good spots for the cannon if you have some money to throw about (since your thinking about grey chins then I would take it you do). I've heard walliski break the 100k exp/h mark with a high number of blue charms and regularly break even.
  2. I'd aim for 80+ melee or 85+ range stats before going gwd boss hunting. But if there willing to take you by all means give it a go.
  3. This works with all tasks which have lower/higher level forms of the standard. I thought there was something in the guide about this, but your right there isn't anything at all (I think its the RS Knowledge base which states it). Nice find.
  4. Yea I've seen a few video's with a ranger using morigans javelins and rune cbow + dfire bolts take out a lot of rushers. Just remember phenoix necklaces, veng and recoils plus morigans spec is a lot of fast damage if you time it right.
  5. Theres no option for I keep forgetting to attend? The should really be an emailing or PM list for the events as it would help a lot of people like myself remember them.
  6. Best way I found was to block tasks as you go then slayer helm as soon as you can followed by rings. The bolts and arrows are nice to have as well then after that just runes all the way. With Duradel is a guaranteed 15k per task or a great source of runes for barrows and DK's.
  7. DK's=Daganoth Kings First of all you'll want to read this guide if you haven't already. With your stats you've go 2 options duo maging with someone of a similar magic level or hybriding in a group of 3 hybrids. Maging using the veracs method and slayer dart (hence why you need 2 of you). Adjust the setup for your equipment and levels. Hybriding use the verac method with rune C'bow + diamond bolts and whip, since your range level is low you'll need the 3 to kill prime fast enough to justify the brews you use from the snips. The hardest things about dk's is balancing prayer/hp, location (step 2 squares in the wrong direction and you can get more then 1 on you) and emergency situations (covered in the guide I linked). Are the stats in your sig the stats of the character your going to use? o and I'm on GMT+0 so I can't do any trips until about 5.30pm GMT+0.
  8. AMD has atleast 2 years warranty which is more then enough for a gaming PC as you'll most likely have upgraded the whole system in 2 years (PC gaming is expensive hardware wise).
  9. Just wonder into the big section, but I'm pretty sur you need to keep the ring wielded. Once he spawns lure him into the stalagmite spot.
  10. Would you believe me if I said I put an K instead of an E? Last time I looked at Mint it was simply Ubuntu with codecs, a few graphic tweaks and the odd non official driver. Its pretty much a attempt to simplify Ubuntu to a level whereby its practically windows. EDIT: I remember toying with flux and it would bug the hell out of 99.9% of users tbh
  11. The point of the 4 disks is 2 act as one super fast disk (on RAID 0) and the other 2 make a copy of the first 2 incase anything goes wrong. Like I said RAID 0 is as fast as a raptor, but its got a big fail rate due to how it works, so you need to counter it with the backup of them. Yes that ram would be ok.
  12. Just pick a case which has 4+ hard drive drive slots the motherboard has 5 SATA ports. The 4 harddrives was as you wanted a fast harddrive as well as some space. RAID 0 will be faster then a raptor, but has a high kill rate so its best to have a backup and RAID 1 is a copy of the disks so you get the benefit of speedy harddrives at the cost of space (only 1tb will be usable, but that should be more then enough). Thinkin about it it might be worth adding one of these into the mix to get a little more performance and easy of use. EDIT newegg has hundreds of cases with 4+ 3.5" internal drives
  13. i think he means chaos tunnels : you will need a leaf-bladed sword to kill them. if you want to range them go to the slayer caves and take broad arrows  Completely forgot they are in the CT too. I did mean the poli dungeon as its easy to get to if you have the rings and theres never anyone there.
  14. Prepare for one hell of a dry streak. Did I mention damn you.
  15. Poli dungeon with your best combat familiar. If you don't have slayer helm then use the slayer dungeon at rellaka.
  16. More information please. Why base it on Mint instead of the vanilla version? That way you can tweak it more and have a fresher more lean starting base. I'm interested in how your going to tweak it for RS. JRE is a given, IRC, Xfce or KDE to reduce load, remove all none essentials, add a few RS non-copyrighted images and your done. Doesn't seem like a big job to me.
  17. All very well written and definitely worth the time spend reading them. Maybe on the next special edition add some more variety on the content though. Once upon a Time... started of different to the others, but became more like Tying Up Loose Ends then was needed. The Underlying Reward could have done with merging the first to paragraphs and cutting it down a tad allowing room to give more information about the impact of the quest rewards. All good none the less.
  18. bronze/iron knives at chaos druids. Its a nice profit per trip so you won't be losing anything. Once you've amassed a enough switch to avis or yaks.
  19. yep there used for swamp titans and due to there hunter exp being lower then salamanders not too many people actually hunt them so it keeps the price nice and high.
  20. Long bow used to be used quite a bit in PvP as it had a 100% chance of hitting, 3 specs per bar (if you time it right) and could hit from a big distance away. Then switching to a short when you close in on them.
  21. Ok this is what I've came up with so far; PII X4 965BE ASUS AM3 mobo 285GTX 750W Corsair psu 24 inc 1080i monitor (2x) 2gbx2 DDR3 1600 (x4) WD 500gb HDD <- put them in RAID 0+1 Vista home premium + Windows 7 upgrade Come to $1,725.88 without the case or a DVD/ BD drive or tax/shipping. So it should easily meet your budget.
  22. First off I wouldn't recommend spending that much on your first build. Things can go wrong and the last thing you want is to break a $600 part (its easier to get a little to hasty or get a bit frustrated). Personally I would got with a AMD AM3 PII cpu as Intel's i7 cost a lot more as a whole system (Intel motherboards cost more and the i7's are a far bit more then the PII X4's) and are pretty much on par. I'll compile a wish list on newegg.ca tomorrow.
  23. Maging DK's? In theory you'd be able to camp there for as long as guthans will last as long as you have supplies. Its 600+ casts per hour giving you about 40k exp per hour when you add in damage and charge. Depending on your luck your looking at a nice profit (made about 500k pure profit [after runes and so on] per hour with my maging trips so far, only about 5/6 hours in total mind). Then you could throw this profit into bursting/barraging to your summoning goal for fast magic and summoning exp.
  24. What was it outdated by? SGS? I thought you couldn't use familiars in the Fight Caves. Outdated from the moment sara brews came out.
