  1. Hey! My mouse has a ball in it, and it's rather new. :P I'm not sure that should even be allowed to be called a mouse >.< thats like the dinosaur that fell into the uranium pit and spit out a mutated monster.
  2. If you use the rest of your keyboard functionally mouse based movements are better as seen in almost all games that require it. Thats why wasd is so much better then arrow keys for movement because you have other functional keys near by and you use the mouse for moving in the "third" dimension.
  3. Middle button on your mouse that you use to scroll on web pages, if you press it down and hold it you can swivel to move the screen. Assuming you have that button and aren't using some archaic dinosaur of a mouse with a ball in it.
  4. Some overworld use would be nice for some more examples of what could be done: One off Edgeville repair work Mixture of one off and repeatable repair works around West Ardy to make it into a normal city repeatable ones being like patching up buildings otherwise shops shut etc. Similar things could be done in the Varrock slums and Burgh De Rott I'd like something like this. In my mind they missed an opportunity with ports to remake construction, I get using specific items from travels to limit the way people can zerg through content if they are wealthy, but why put in chimes when they could have just straight up added gp costs to it to use it as a money sink. And not nessisarily small costs either. They could easily update MTK (kingdoms) to make them a greater drain on physical currency. There is less issue with introducing items into the game at the cost of raw money because its a redistribution of wealth when you sell the goods. What I would like to see as a D&D/construction update is something like this: Market Places Build and maintain your own market place, upgrading and building new shops and hiring workers. Supplies you with non tradable ingredients for stuff like special potions/ability boosters. Or stocks shops with tradable goods like herbs/logs/ores/etc that you can buy at a price reduced from the GE. You'd have to visit every day/two to find out what shops are in need of maintainence and which shop keepers need to be payed for the day. You could have a natural flow of NPC's that move through the shops and buy the goods for their "skill" that leaves the shops with a reward currency spent on something like Livid Farm. You'd pay for wages with GP, and need to use plank/etc for construction supplies to build/expand your market. The thing about any money sink though is it has to have rewards good enough to repeat it and yet prices that are balanced for the effort involved. The game was way to much physical currency in it right now. One reward that is done semi well is domion tower with the gloves/dread nips, although I would say its a little to easy for the repeatably requirements. Maybe if gloves had need 10-20 kills instead of 5 you'd have to invest more into it. But those are all things that should be balanced.
  5. The problem with bot nukes now is we need such a massive influx of new members to consume the surplus of goods to bring the economy back to life. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy they are gone, makes grotworm tasks easier, but we are a long way off see the postive effects of this. Even stuff like dragon bones going up is more speculation then absense of product in the markets.
  6. "On a slash weak monster, use a maul." What kind of maul? and last time I checked maul's didn't have a slashing mechanic but a crushing one :P Thank you so much for the info though!! "EDIT" If you're referring to the chaotic maul I don't have that one since I am a PvE fanatic so I never bothered to get it, so chaotic maul is the better one for PvE and general slaying than a rapier / longsword and a shield / defender? or is dual-wielding better in this case if I plan on using a one-handed weapon? Don't plan on using one. Unless you can afford drygore a chaotic maul is the melee weapon of choice.
  7. So painfully wrong, and thats why people argue. It did effect our game. I'm not trying to get in the middle of this, but if you're going to reference that stupid quest then you're extremely childish. You cannot wait one week for a quest? It's a one time thing, if you don't want it to affect your precious game, than maybe go vote so they can put a dedicated team onto the servers. I don't understand the mentality of "I'm not voting because I don't want it to influence the EOC game." If you truly don't want it affect your game than support the building of a dedicated team. Otherwise it will be a side project for the main developers who will most likely develop both games. Hey guys I didn't mean to kill that guy, it was a one time thing, don't count it.

  9. Which is why they will make you pay for both. If you want 07 you pay more.
  10. If Jagex actually make you pay for EOC as well, you're right. I was under the impression that you could pay $5 for 2007 and then an additional $5 if you want EOC too. Making people pay for EOC when they don't want to play it will obviously drive members away, I won't play if I have to pay for both when I only want to play 2007. They got one month subscriptions because they want to play 2007 not EOC. I did the same thing. I'll be cancelling my members if I have to pay for both. This right here is why I've chosen to ignore all the ramblings of the pro 07 group. Most if not all of them are too stupid to go and read all the facts and see whats coming their way.
  11. Greenfingers is fantastic for herb farming. Penance and Vamp are amazing/decent for combat. I like the thieving one because it helps motivate me to level thieving. Aside from that I think it becomes personal preference.
  12. Mage is the better choice assuming he hasn't been patched as melee + range both have the damage cap of 500. So BF barrage + mage gear should do well, poly/SoL or better. Or ahrims wand I guess.
  13. A few thousand to me sounds more like less than 10k votes, but I guess we'll see in the coming days. Anyone who thinks it won't hit 500k is kidding themselves. Jagex has a little script running that randomly adds votes based on how close it is to 500k. Will be some "epic" momment in the final minutes where it ticks over.
  14. First off, I don't like you, lol. Second I'm pretty sure 5/5/5 4/3/3 is better.
  15. Oh I'm not doubting that some people get their 99's for certain, non-recognition driven reasons, I was referring to wearing the cape after the goal has been completed - you want to share your achievement with everybody. I wear my hp cape because I think it looks the best with my outfit. Truth be told, I'd assume my other capes have more "prestige" look at me type factor. I just think HP looks the best
  16. For anyone who is actually getting Ox heads at at decent rate, have you upgraded to a stainless steel loggings, I'm getting desperate because I've only got one, the rest of my crew is filled out and nearing on level 10 and I still wanted 3-4 more.
  17. Would you be surprised to learn that grimy herbs were added in 2007? There was a lot of scamming done with unids back when we had free trade... Unids were released late 07. After this supposed build.
  18. Get used to it. That's 07 rs. Some of us played that for years before bigger became an option. It's blatantly obvious jagex [bleep]ed up with this one. I'm just curious to see what if any damage control they do. You misunderstand me. Bigger as in enlarging the java applet window, as in zooming in. Not as in now it is now. Because how it is now does not make things like text bigger. I understood. It doesn't get bigger. Which is why that's how we played for years. One of the "perks" of going back in time.
  19. To you and everyone who has posted that: No one is mad because the update was delayed. They're mad because rs07 caused the delay, even though Jagex promised that it wouldn't affect current content. I'd also like to point out if you go watch last weeks video the end says this week is TWW
  20. Get used to it. That's 07 rs. Some of us played that for years before bigger became an option. It's blatantly obvious jagex [bleep]ed up with this one. I'm just curious to see what if any damage control they do.
  21. I'm starting to think maybe its more then ready to go and they just haven't released it yet to increase the "hype" around this shit. Can't take their baby out of the spot light can we.
  22. It is indeed possible but there are factors that point against this being the case: 1) Why gloss over it in the video without giving a reason other than 07scape? 2) Why ignore questions about it on twitter and fb? 3) Why lock and hide threads on the matter without giving a nice simple answer? I'll tell you what would be a good reason: Because there isn't a nice explanation that will please people because they DID break their promise and let 07scape effect main rs resulting in the delay. Not to mention the fact that they have let it sit long enough now that any "real" reason they might try and spew out will be seen as them trying to cover there ass.If they could manage to cram to get these servers out withing 7 days of the "vote", which doesn't even deserve to be called that, then why can't they work over time this weekend to push out the quest for next week like expected.
  23. Just give up man. It's done. Jagex was gonna do this because of they way they handled EoC...just play which ever game you want Its people like you that let companies get away with not being accountable for their actions. [bleep] off and go home. Thanks Firstly calm down, secondly it's not a big deal. Jagex have made a lot of players happy with this and people who don't like it don't have to play it. Your completely nieve to think that the number of people they made happy out weights the number of people they pissed off. We've proven over and over again that the whiny [bleep]y minority that made this shit happen is nothing compared to the current paying member base. And I'd love to go play what I want to play except the [bleep]ed us over for this bull shit b

  25. I'm truly dissapointed in Jagex, the 07 server had the potential to be a good idea but by releasing it early like this sure they may have brought in some whiny people and old timers but you just alienated the paying user base who has stuck by and kept feeding you money over the years.
