Rename General to "Runescape Crappy topics" and Rename General P2P to "Runescape discussion" This would mean that all the crappy semi RS based posts which are populating both boards and have increased in the last couple of months making these boards unbareable at time go in the " rappy topic forum and the PROPER runescape p2p discussions and the like in the Proper board for it.

I got a pair of legs after like 200 :) No Visage though :( And don't expect one any time soon, they are RARER than dragon drops (Confirmed by a mod, sorry, no pics, your choice to believe me or not but I have nothing to gain from lying) plus a limited number of monsters drop them.

It's pretty rare, I'd guess about the same chance as getting d legs from a metal dragon. All morning and none of the 7 or so of us here have gotten one. I'm pretty sure that Mod "can't remember his/her name" said that dragon drops are common compared to them :| . Yep Mod Noldor said to me that dragon drops are common in comparison the visage. Paul confirmed they were "very rare" but said he couldn't compare it to anything without the numbers infront of him.

These draconic visages won't bee too common, or they'll just make all the other shields obsolete. Too bad I just finished a blue dragon slayer assignment... I wouldn't expect them to be rarer than a half shield - Why? Because MORE things in the game drop half shield, only about 5 or 6 monsters drop this. Maybe the same rarity, but It wouldn't make sense for it to be much rarer than that. And I've had confirmation these are "very rare". So yeah, only expect one or two of these by the end of the day.

dont you have pictures of legs and skirt drops at drags? unless those were all off task Yes from steels, they weren't on task though. Never had a single dragon drop off Irons.

One of the problems is dragonhide. Meleers can wear it without it effecting how well they can attack, it's an unfair advantage. A mage without mage robes and a ranger without dragonhide are weakened attack wise. Meleers can wear what the hell they want without getting any sort of penalty at all. I spoke to Mod Mark about this a couple of years back now and he agreed with me that it's stupid, guess they haven't done anything about it. Give all non-melee armour - melee accuracy and this will balance the game A LOT more.

There's hundreds of things you're not factoring in. Quests, lamps, fact that range/mage didn't get Hits XP in Classic. Fact that you can mage in defence. Loads of other things I can't be bothered to list. Only times I've PCed is when I was about 10k off 99 hits and when I was like 5k off 94 mage.

I'm actualy trying to think how many of 29 dragon drops have been on tasks... Only one I can think of is the shield half from greaters, oh and a skirt from bronze dragons. Other than that, nothing. Although I've had 3 off abyssals (Dragon med on my first EVER kill on them ;))

No. I've killed thousands upon thousands of iron dragons for both taks and for not and the best drop I've had is probably a clue. I'm not exaggerating either.

But in that case. It means you actually miss, but its a minimum damage cap that it will always give you. So in theory you miss, but it gives out the minimum damage. Now if thats the case this bow is perfect. Thanks for info dark dude. Yeah, hitting 5/5 is basically saying "You missed, but have some damage anyway!"

The bow DOES NOT hit an average of 20, no idea where you're pulling that from. When you special you'll always hit atleast 5/5 (8/8 dragon), this is equivilent to a 0/0 and will happen A LOT when facing people with range defence.

I've gone a couple of thousand abyssals without a whip (Haven't had one since 85) but I average 3-4 rune boots per trip at nechs. Last trip I got: 4 Rune boots, 5 rune larges, 2 half keys and 2 clues.

Just done my own tests. I believe that with Rune Arrows against melee (ie wild) it's not worth it, infact I was doing better with mage short. But with Dragon arrows... Best combo I got was 38-33 which koed the person. Going to test it on bloodvelds (With mith arrows) and see how well that does but until the prices of Dragon Arrows go down to something like 1k-2k each (Hopefully they do anyway) then I believe the dark bow is a waste.

There won't be a RS3 which makes this topic pointless (Well, it was anyway) Jagex are making a new game, no idea what it is but it's probably another MMOG. Runescape (2) will continued to be developped aswell, there'll be two seperate teams. I'm sure if it is another MMORPG then some people will move over to the new one, some will stick and some people will play both.

Was talking to Paul in game and he said that they'll be doing other update types (Quests etc.) in the future. I'd like them to go into more detail at certain things, like deciding the drops etc.

thats no fact. FACT when fir3g0d reached 85 slayer (1st person) he went to kill abysmal demons for who knows how long. result , 1st person with a whip who then sold it for 60m in falador w2. so whered u hear jagex didnt release the special drops b4 some 1 got 85 slayer..... cuz i remember being on DI fourms seeing the first whip along with everyone else who was anyone. Trust me, the drops were not released. I'm 100% sure Mauls, Black Mystic top and rune boots weren't released until after people got those levels. I'm 90% sure the whip was the same. From what I remember: All monsters than Gargoyles, Abyssals and Nechs had no rare drops and Abyssals had NO drops at all. When people got 75 for Gargoyles Jagex added Mauls, Red Mystic Tops and addy boots. I believe they also added Rune boots at this time. Abyssals still had NO drops until someone was close to 85, I'm not sure if whip was added along with the other abyssal drops, but I believe it took someone a good few days to get a whip off them. The Maul etc. were found due to hex editing, Jagex Denied their existance. The reason the drops were NOT added to start with was people would use poison to kill the monsters. I tried it and I don't believe they dropped anything but ashes. Someone will probably correct me on a few things, but it went something like that.

You're all forgetting that you can use OTHER arrows with the bow and not just dragon ones ;)
