  2. I'm curious as to why someone would want thier loved ones carcass intact for 20 years... do they want to actually go in thier tomb and talk to them? :-s Decomposition is inevitable either way. Dunno, just seems wierd to me.

It took me no more than 20 mites to find the answer, but i dont know where to put it. Perhaps PM the answer or in small writing?
  4. Actually, you are drained of all fluids, your blood and water is replaced by embalming fluid, and your bladder and intestinal tracts are flushed out. You are placed in a casket which can be air-sealed and then placed inside a concrete berth. Hence, worms will not eat you, you will not defecate yourself, and you will look exactly like you did when you died for approximately 20 years. I'm pretty sure he was suggesting if you had died and no human intervention insued. Yes I can and it's the scientific method. If you knew about science, you would know this and that the reason why is that it is designed so that your experimental results can be replicated by anyone, thus assuring the method with undeniable integrity. what do you get when you read a book? - knowlege. Your thinking of it to factually, the human mind can gain knowlege from many places, for example, you can gain the knowlege that the sky is blue by observing it with your eyes.
  5. Firstly, you observe with the senses. Then, you hypothesise as to why something is so, i.e. why this natural phenomenon occurs. You then set up experiments that will determine whether you hypothesis is refuted or strengthened. If the hypothesis/hypotheses are strengthened by your experimentation, you can designate them as theory. Alongside theory can be scientific law i.e. definate mathematical formulae which explain why something is so (of which there are many). It's used everyday. Why would you say it dosent exist?
  6. Oh yeah, nailed 'em. I thought ROY should of got the man of the match but.
  7. I consider myself a very open minded person. Thats if you were directing this at me, that is.

  11. 40 mins now. Mitchell Johnson and Brett Lee are out. Speaking of Brett Lee... anyone see him on the news lately?
  12. First, yes it is possible evolution brought us here. Think about a huge city. It's very complex, but not all of it was done at once. It starts with a basic plan then expands to what we see today. Second, you're assuming there's a soul, but you can't prove it. Agreed. Evolution brought us here... It's a sensible theory, much more sensible than... (use you imagination).
  13. Slipknot are great, I havent listened to them in ages but.
  14. Why not try to get the discussion back on topic then instead of just saying 'lock it'? I find the concept of what happens after you die interesting, so if there is some grudge or reason you want this thread locked, just let it go.
  15. The strength of the method is shown each time you perform an experiment. The method wasn't made to be the bearer of 'absolute truth' but to serve the purpose of shedding light on the reality we live in. Besides, if I observe an experiment performed under the guise of the method, and the hypothesis is strengthened, I can come to the conclusion that the method has been strengthened. Though the point we are trying to make here is that in terms of after life, and existance, science hasn't been proven, thus when used in these discussions it is considered the same as religion, and seeing as religion is banned, this should be locked. Science isn't as far fetched as religion. Sure, from whats been said here it would seem that absolute truth is unattainable, everything is a matter of belief and hence subject to opinion, but science has the ability to change when new information/knowlege or capacity comes along, unlike religion, so placing the two together dosent make sense. But back on the topic, im sure you've heard of mediumship, so perhaps you believe that and there is an afterlife, and those who are living have the capacity to communicate with those that are dead? Just an idea, discuss what you think if you like.

Anyway, after we die, it would be nice if the good people go to heaven but that would just annoy me because all the bad people would end up in hell. Why are they going to hell? Because thier mother gave birth to them, they existed and they became a victim of the circumstance of having existed. Sure, heaven is a nice thought, but IMO, we just rot and cease to exist.
  19. Thats nice. Although I dont know much about poetry nor have I come across a piece of poetry that really moves me, any suggested authors?
