  1. Pol Pot. And I admire that you have the ability to admit some christians are ***holes, as are some of the whole of any group of people. Anyway, back on topic. Stopping terrorism would be extremely difficult if not impossible. You would need overwhelming support from all of the countries and groups of people around the entire globe; this is the first difficulty. You would then need a widespred political action in the form of abolshment through manpower and laws; the second difficulty. Then you must wait generations and teach, as a compulsary subject in every school on earth, that terrorism is wrong (obviously you would go into more detail on the issue); the third difficulty. Make it propoganda if you like, young minds are weak, thats in many cases why the terrorist movement keeps going - young impressionsable minds and propoganda. Fight fire with fire. Again, extremely difficult if not impossible. I'm not trying to be pessimistic here, i'm trying to be realistic.

Ok, now I'm up to 21, the chat room. I have been looking at each one for a while now, looked at the forum for help and cannot even start this one. A helpful push please? I could help if i somehow knew the answer to level 17.... :D You'll need to use this: Using paint
  3. The method itself isn't impportant, you were intellectually dishonest in stating that science followed the scientific method. It doesn't matter if it is partially right or that many people use it; if it isn't consistent with the way people perform science, then it is wrong. This method you provided is objectively wrong, much in the same way Newtonian Gravity is objectively wrong; it's a theory that doesn't explain everything accurately. Majoring in Physics, I haven't decided on a second major yet (Maths, Computational Science or History and Philosophy of Science), or that I'll just skip the second major altogether. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. Nevermind. Physics hey? Never studied it myself (chose to do Biology and Chemistry) but I do find it interesting.
  4. He would have to, but I wan't to see it make the news. Seriously, anyone with that much money should try and help the world. The best philanthopists are rich. And as for bill gates, well instead of amassing a rediculous fortune, he could have given most of it away without much or any lifestyle change at all. He does give to charity, a lot actually. I'm not doubting that at all, and he's a great man for it, but he could obviously give more. But at least he is giving money to charity

HubbleSite - Gallery Have a look. It's kind of mind blowing how incredibly huge some of those nubulas and glaxys are. Do the image tours.

  8. If he dosen't get on the news for donating to charity, he's doing it for the money. It's a rediculous amount of money and if he's a decent bloke, some of it should go to charity.
  9. Ditto, anyone who stares in the face of 'the man' with the middle finger raised is a hero to me.

Explain 17 to me again, I haven't got the greatest memory. Its the yin yang one lol Ive put the 2 pictures on top of each other i just cant read the letters right Its really simple when you put the second image on the first, it should show you the answer, although one of the letters is a bit [developmentally delayed]ed
  12. Medal of honour. Serving your country in war I brave. My great grandad did in WW1 at Gallipoli and France. he survived, his cousin did not.

Since the universe is seemingly infinitely there are probably life forms on the whole range. The range being ones that are single celled, bacteria like organisms on other planets to super beings far more advanced then us. A lot of people seem to think that it has to go one way or the other when in truth it almost certainly goes both ways. I agree, but I was just making the point that there would most likely be life forms on the complete opposite end of the scale to what people usually think.

I think there could be other life out there, but popular belief says that they would be a super advanced race. Not necessarily. I think there may be fledgling life out there, such as microorganisms and the like, on planets similar to ours, at a similar (or greater, becuase the sun is below average size [correct me if i'm wrong]) distance from a star. And I dont think silicon would replace carbon the the basis of thier biology, as some people theorise, infact I think that these microorganisms could be similarto the ones we have here on earth (if the conditions are similar).

Man, your good, might as well not bother asking at the pace your going, none of us can keep up. Hey, I have a simple question about 18 - Do you need to be able to read the Japanese writing? I'm guessing you do.
  17. 'Money' - The John Butler Trio. Anyone like John Butler?
  18. Go to a HEAVY METAL concert. If you dont like heavy metal just go to a [insert your favourite band here] concert.
  19. In some cultures they belived it was ok to sacrifice young girls so sun and rain Gods. That doesnt make it ok. Therer are stories in this country (England) where women and girls from mainly Pakistani backgrounds are just flown back to Pakistan for an arranged marriage against their will and they have their passports taken away so they cannot return. Its sickening. I don't care if its someones religion or culture, its against human rights and should be stopped. Morality isn't universal, sure it may seem sickening to us, but think about what the parents of these girls think. They think it's ok, we don't. So when I hear stories like those you mention, I count my lucky stars I live in Australia. And @ Parabola, I agree, the beliefs of one should never be forced onto another if it harms them. I remember hearing a story of an Islamic girl who wanted to marry a christian boy and go and live in his country. The girls family willingly killed her. :-X
  20. Forgive my ignorance, but whats a cornet? I play the guitar, mostly heavy metal/alt. prog rock music.

I'll give you a hint, what you said on the other page with respect to typing the country name as the answer is correct. Another thing - as far as I know, there are only 2 countrys in the world with a flag with a middle, verticle, yellow stripe. Only focus on the middle yellow, forget the other 2.

It's kind of ironic - African kids are generally very poor, but they love school and never worry about conformity or any other superficial [cabbage] like that. We are generally rich and basically pull our hair out trying to be something were not. The rich could really learn a lesson from the poor.
  23. And in some cases, animals = clothes.
  24. Although that statement is basically rubbish, I think marriage should NEVER be taken lightly. To many people (my parents for instance) get divorced.
