  1. Hell, she isn't even getting a beer right. If the tender served me a beer with the foam overflowing I'd send it back and ask for another one.
  2. I like how we were completely useless Bow. Want a drink? I think I got a few Guinness left in the fridge.
  3. I was gonna make a post ridiculing Bow's post for being completely useless to OP, but then he edited it. I think it was like 32k exp or so, so 16k bonus exp.
  4. Is the guy at the table checking out the lass that's bent over in a suggestive position?
  5. What's that avatar everyone is using? Is that from Runescape? I don't play the game, so wouldn't know, I made my own, did I do this right?
  6. Have you seen the computer? Apparently the computer he listed has a power supply of 120 watts. 120 watts. Is this a desktop or a laptop? If it's a laptop, you aren't gonna be able to upgrade the video card. Hell, even if you do, the power supply supplies 120 watts! take out the CPU and the HDD, and what power do you have left for the GPU? If this is a desktop and you CAN replace the parts, now you're laying down 100 for a good power supply, 100 for a budget graphics card, and since we're spending so much replacing [cabbage] we might as well just build the damn thing.
  7. I could build a pc with several SSDs, A 950W modular power supply, 8 gigs of ram, throw in a Thuban hexa-core processor. Hell, let's throw in a ppu. Put it all in a case with liquid cooling. An awesome computer would you not agree? But what if I mention it has integrated graphics, and you can't upgrade it? Yeah, the computer sucks now. My order of importance: Power Supply > HD speed > GPU
  8. Avoid this: Integrated Graphics If the computer has this, it sucks.
  9. This is a bad thread. The comp specs you posted suck. Like, wow dude, that computer of yours totally sucks, and you want to do what with it? Don't listen to people who tell you, "The laptop is good", because that is an outright lie. So you want to play portal at max settings smoothly. Hell, Portal isn't even graphics intensive. Hell, the game is [bleep]ing three years old. Also, tech support is a lot harder without swearing. True story. A budget card like a radeon 5670 would set you back about 90 dollars, at max settings save AA at what, 2x? 4x? You'd still get 120 fps which is 40 more than you need. LCD monitors can't display past 60 anyway. Only reason you'd want more than 60 fps is in the cases where the fps dips. Just build your own computer. It's not much harder than following a lego construction set. And when you get lost, you have us to help you out.
  10. Is it a Toshiba? Also, remember the good ol' days of system idle process?
  11. My economics degree is demanding I make the clarification that it isn't free, you are forgoing the bandwidth that could have been used for something else and other opportunity costs.
  12. What does the title say exactly? Is this what you wanted?
  13. Here's my take on it: The text could use a bit more oomph, but it was a, uh, female dog to make, so screw it.
  14. Have you ever used a live linux cd? It's the same concept, only on a usb so you can save stuff to it. Why not just get ubuntu and make the usb yourself?
  15. I'm assuming the front jack is on the computer case itself. If so, along the inside of the case there should be a cable coming from the jack. Is this cable plugged into the motherboard? Besides that, control panel -> sounds + multimedia -> audio tab ->preferred playback device. 2000 isn't that old, my servers are all still running linux and server 2000.
  16. Do you really need a new power supply? Corsairs last a long time, and as far as I can tell, 650W is enough for the new one. Save the 150. Also, Vista 64 bit? I liked Vista despite what everyone else says, but 7 blew Vista out of the water.
  17. Alright, I'll agree with this. No, the flashing light tells you the computer didn't successfully POST. Actually, I've been putting all my spare ram in my desk drawer since '92, and every stick still works! Ram is a lot more durable than you think! The computer doesn't power up. The ram slots don't impact the computers ability to power up. The computer doesn't power up. The computer never reached the point of checking for ram. Once more, the ram has nothing to do with the problem he's having right now. I wouldn't call it broken, it just isn't being powered. The motherboard is very likely just fine! The issue here is the power supply!
  18. Even without ram a computer can power up, it just won't POST. Your laptop doesn't power on at all. The problem here is a connection between the power supply and the motherboard. Either the power supply is fried or the connection between the power supply and motherboard is loose. Worst case scenario: psu is fried and took all your hardware with it. Solution: New computer/warranty. Best case scenario: loose connector. Take it apart and re-seat. Actually the best case scenario is that you thought you were pressing the on button, but in fact you were just drunk and missed. Also, post above me is complete BS. Sorry man, but it's true. Don't wanna get OP confused.
  19. Sorry, my bad. I was messing with this time changing device earlier.
  20. Borderlands 4 pack is 30 dollars. Everyone go buy it so we can get a multiplayer game going.
  21. So I was gonna make this signature with verac and pretty pastel butterflies, but then I got bored. It had verac, it had pastels, but I didn't want to install a butterfly font.
  22. 1 2 3 4 5 Ok? 5, 4, 2, 1, 1, 3, 1, 2, 1, 2 Will get the lower 2 done, I don't feel like walking you through the other 5.
  23. Maybe he's logging on from the same computer as you are? Is the hacker your father?
