  1. Too much effort involved for the end result. If say, this made pancakes, I'd be all over it.
  2. One day the hinges on my DS were almost like new. The next day it cracked.
  3. Uh anywyay, I use a pair of Logitech notebook headphones, it comes in a case and it's behind the ears, so it's pretty comfortable. Don't know the ones you're talking about, but mine are pretty sweet and I'd recommend them: http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=logitech+notebook+headset&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=11498910889759091783&ei=yWodTNWIEIGmM6Xj7Z8N&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CCwQ8wIwAA#
  4. http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ Double check first.
  5. What are the specs on the HD? Lately my builds have been hanging because I'm still using traditional 7200 hds, I don't want to shell out the money for a velociraptor, and I don't want to shell out for a SSD. My latest one is using the antec 300 case as well, what do you think about it? I wish it had 2 more usb ports on the faceplate.
  6. You cleaned your registry huh? Seeing how you mentioned that your monitor's drivers are up to date, I don't think you should be touching your registry. I think the problem is you fouled up the registry.
  7. So the Hd isn't the problem. The vid card might be a problem, who knows. Ram, maybe Power supply, unlikely. Mobo, probably not. What Hd is this? Sata? IDE? SSD? If it has those gray ribbon cables, there might be your problem. Judging by the games having trouble coming up, and slow applications, I'd say replace the ram or maybe it's the cpu. Probably the ram though, cpus usually don't die on you. Did you build this pc yourself? Did you buy it premade? What are the specs? Damn I hate doing tech support on the internet, it's a nightmare. But I love the thread title. NOTHING WORKS ITS ALL BROKEN WHAT IS THIS I DONT EVEN
  8. Why did you reformat in the first place? After reading you're initial post, I'd say reseat the ram. At work, my rule of thumb is: Never reformat, unless it's to low level it to erase sensitive files, but then I run it over with a heavy magnet.
  9. No seriously, the first thing I did was Google "spooge error", and the first link told me how to fix it.
  10. Did you try typing "spooge error" in google and clicking the first link? I didn't think so.
  11. You don't want a laptop, you want a desktop. If you get a laptop you'll end up taking it to class to "take notes" on, and be distracted by going to facebook and whatnot. You will, there is no question. While working in the library with a few friends, studying for the final which is tomorrow, you'll be on the laptop on some random site and not contributing. I worked at a university once, and some of the professors started banning laptops from their classes because it's correlated with poor performance in class. So get a desktop, cheaper, more powerful, can play games on high settings, and won't distract you while you're in class.
  12. Start spamming the F keys, one by one, and maybe throw in some Del to spice things up while the computer is booting.
  13. What, you want a long battery life, huge monitor, and huge keyboard?
  14. Boot the pc to the cd, go under bios and change boot order so it boots through cd first.
  15. Blank the admin password. Here's how: Get a computer with a cd-burner. Go and download this: http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/ Burn to cd Boot into cd on the laptop Blank admin password ??? PROFIT! STEP II: Find gpedit.msc Simple run should get it out. Set everything to "not configured" I used to work as a school's admin for the computers, setting up the security was a breeze, do it once and just clone the pcs. But then old computers get rotated out and get redistributed to faculty and staff, then I had to go in one by one to disable all the stuff I put up.
  16. Whoa whoa whoa, don't reformat yet buddy, you seem new to this reformatting thing. First get a notepad, not on your computer, a real notepad. Write down what chipset you're using, what graphics card you have, networking cards, etc. Then download the drivers and save them on a disc somewhere. THEN you can reformat if you really need to.
  17. First of all, delete AVG and Spybot, you don't need multiple antivirus solutions, they don't play well together.
  18. it's pretty bad man. They were selling Hp refurb ENVYs for 600-700 just a few days ago. I'm talking 2x160 GB SSD, for 600-700.
  19. http://windows7themes.net/how-to-reduce-latency-in-windows-7.html Move on, we're done here. For the record, it's latency, not lag, that's bothering you.
  20. I just put a Radeon 5670 into my machine, so things are hella smooth. Also: Game is a lot easier now with the mac guys flooding the scene. I was huntsman sniping, took down 2 heavies and a medic, and there was one more medic just standing there. I thought it was the medic I shot, pinned to the wall, but then he started swiveling on the spot looking for someone to heal rather than run away. Then he died too. And there was no mistake, he was pinned to the wall this time.
