Well I finally got it working. I tried inserting my original WoW install disk while installing the patch, and that seemed to do the trick. Horse mounts run differently now and look like they're limping :? . Btw, my friend claims when he went to dl the patch, it downloaded in like 30 seconds, and was about 1.2 GB. But then it downloaded another patch which was about 6GB afterwards. Anybody know what he is talking about? (And I don't think he thought the installation was a download.)

Well... I finally got it to download. And now I get ! World of Warcraft could not be found. Please make sure the game is properly installed. Well it is properly installed. I was playing all day yesterday, and haven't changed anything since then. Sooo... I try to go to the WoW tech support forum for some help.

Edit: Are the WoW forums not working for anybody else? When I try to go to them it gives me the URL not found message, which is really annoying when I'm trying to get tech support because my downloader says I'm behind a firewall when I'm not. :evil: I've tried learning LUA, but I don't know where to learn from. :( Could you help me out? (I imagine it couldn't be too hard compared to Java).

Woo!!!! Extended downtime!! That means patch 3.0.2, and I get my new pet! AWESOME!!! Also, when you log in, you'll notice the game has the new wrath log in screen and such. (Too bad I have to wait for the huge patch download :( )

Well here are the PvP additions, but I don't think that's what you were asking for: [hide=PvP additions]Battlegrounds The currently planned battleground referred to as the Strand of the Ancients will have siege vehicles, 10 or 15 people in each team, and games will last 30 to 40 minutes.[citation needed] The issue with battlegrounds starting with unbalanced teams, caused by multiple queueing and the grace period for joining, will be addressed. The reporting system is also being further tuned to allow players to better police abuse of the PvP to gain easy marks of honor.[citation needed] Arenas Two new Arenas will also be introduced in the expansion. One in the currently unused Orgrimmar Arena and the other in a new Dalaran Arena in Dalaran's sewers. These arenas will introduce moving objects such as pillars and waterfalls, and damaging objects such as [bleep]es in arenas and other such mechanics to create dynamics with line of sight and gameplay. I don't think I was very clear... I can't even find a group to go through any instance with. I'm not expecting to go on any raids, especially not with this gear. The reason I'm getting merciless gladiator gear is because it takes minimal time. By the time I start doing any heroics the new expansion would be out, and I would be left with full blues + maybe 1 purple. I'd do my first 5 quests in northrend, and my blues would be gone. By the time I'm 73 or 74 my purples would be gone. All I wanted to do was get at least three of those purples for the set effect. And now at least I look decent.

All I've had time to do is pvp 3 epics (legs as of an hour ago). Wrath is comming out in a month, so getting new gear would be a waste. Plus I can't ever find a decent raid group.

The world is one [bleep]ed up place. If I went up to somebody who happened to be black (being white myself) and called them a stupid (n word) I would very likely be tried for a hate crime. But if I went up to a person who happened not to be very smart and called them a moronic [cabbage]head the worst that could happen is I get beat up. Are both insults not "crimes of hate"? Since when do we judge crimes based on motivation? If I rob a Japanese person because he is Japanese, and a French person because he is French, would you punish me more harshly for the Japanese robbery because of my motive? I'm sorry but this is just incredibly [bleep]ed up.

2nding this. If man fudged with it and killed it off directly or with a reasonable amount of undue interference then ok, theres a problem then, but some species are going to die out just because of natural selection, leave it alone. Yeah but I could happily say with no proof that a DAMN lot of species are dying out becaause of us; deforestation, increasing temperature further than a lot can adapt(not too bad yet) and simply urbanising and farming a large percentage of land is going to kill off species, and is! obviously species die out naturally but humans are contributing to it SO much. its really sad.. and the worst bit is that we still don't do anthing (really) we don't adress the fundamental issues that are causing this. extinction is only going to get A LOT worse. What we can do? make our governments go green, protests etc. it HAS to be done. cut down on using cars, i mean how many people drive to work with 1 person in the car EVERYDAY its caining off the atmosphere. stop furthering our medical capabilities, its kinda hard to say but when are we going to stop growing? far too many people and we still all want to live longer, tbh quite a lot of illnesses are blatently caused by our unhealthy and un nutritional lifestyles and diets. i have heard that in america many people dont even walk to the shops, i mean.. that aying something isn't it. we have to stop buying and consuming so much POINTLESS crap, its caining of the rainforests without us even realising. did you know that nutella used to support one of the largest agricultural deforestation for palm oil? many companies such as McDonalds, Cadburies, Nestle etc are all contributing to MAJOR deforestation. Stop complaining about food prices and gas prices, they can't be low because supply at the moment CAN'T meet demand, we all need to eat but we'll have to cut back on things to do so. in a capitalist world to have the super rich you have the super poor, to have the rich you need the poor, get what im saying? if you want the world to carry on like it is we can't all be well off and doing well for ourselves. continuous economic growth is not possible in a finite world. All in all we need a complete social reformation, which i think isn't going to happen, the way we all live is destructive, we all want more, we all want a "better" life, a new car, a new tv, to live longer. think about this, we all think on an individual level, and how much do YOU help screw over nature, now think about how many people are doing the same thing possibly on an even bigger scale. think about the "urbanisation"(americanisation) of india and china and think about how many people live there(billions). something has to happen but it won't.. even with these feelings im still on my compurter in my heated house, i try not to buy food that encourages deforestation and to bank in ethical banks but its not enough. People look at the way you live, do you NEED that new computer or that new Xbox or that new DS. do you NEED those more fasionable clothes because the others are out of season, do you NEED that tacky key ring you got in Paris that you'll probally throw away after a few yers. Do you NEED a bigger car, better shoes etc.. the answer is NO but we all seem to THINK we do. life is 100% not about possetions and to be fair thats inarguable. now i know a lot of people are going to say that a lot fo stuff we need, but if you think about it we don't. if you care about the enviroment and animals then why not do something, speak up to the governments that really can make a HUGE impact. we cant go on this way.. i know that im doing my bit, i WILL NOT let anymore coal stations be built in the uk, im willing to go to prison if i have to for this cause because it NOT ON! peace out and think about what i said please before i posted this i saw this an example of why we're dooming other animals and eventually ourselves. you litterally make me SICK skatedog.. they aren't reproducing quick enough or whatever because of us destroying their enviroment. What you're suggesting is that people quit striving for that bigger car, or for that new TV, or whatever they want. What you don't realize is that it is human nature to want more, and more, and more. Back during the time of "cave men" when people relied on hunting and gathering, humans could have easily survived solely on the herbs and plants they gathered, along with the squirrel or two they caught every day. And although they knew this, they still went hunting after mammoths and tigers, forcing them into extinction. Early farmers used a method known as "Slash and Burn" (which is still used today) in which the bark of trees was slashed off, and the tree then burnt. This method of farming brought nutrients to the topsoil, which meant improved harvests, and ultimately more wealth for the farmer. The downside of this was major deforestation. Later, large kingdoms such as Rome plundered and torched opposing cities, sometimes entire forests, and salted the nearby ground making it unsuitable for plants to grow. Domesticated cattle ate large fields until they were barren, causing erosion and making the area uninhabitable for local animal species The Daoists believed that human striving (wanting a new car, more land, etc) was the cause of much human and creature suffering, and that people should be content with what they already have. But time and time again humans have shown that they will never be content with what they have, and will always strive for more. My point here is that society as a whole can not stop striving anymore than they can stop wanting to live. It is human nature to do so, and we have been effecting the world more than we know since the time we lived in caves.

I think you missed the entire "earbuds" part of the thread, lol. One of my main points was that I wanted earbuds, not headphones. And skullkandy does not work for me. They fall out of my ears. The entire "sound quality sucks" thing is more related to the original iPod than the flash based iPod such as the iPod touch, the iPhone, and the nano.
