function onLoadAutoSubmit() { var form = document.getElementById("myForm"); setTimeout(form.submit, 2000); }

Hmm, the variable thing was simpler than I thought. What I do need however is still a script that triggers the submit button after a second or two.
-
I have a php script. This script takes a few variables via POST and performs an action, I would like to make a small page where this action is automaticly performed, since entering the form gets old and I don't want to use GET. Basically, I need a script that does, in the following order: Uses POST to provide a specific value for three different variables, which we can call "1", "2" and "3", without the need for an actual visible (well, it doesn't really matter if it's visible or not :P) form. Sends the visitor to the script which uses the POST-variables after a second or two. I have no idea how to do this and it would be awesome if someone could help me out. Hopefully I made some sense :)

Those megs didn't contain null however, and many games will become unuseable by converting due to copy-protection. However, I suspect you've downloaded some cracked version of a game in any case, and then it clearly doesn't matter.

The CCD, CUE and SUB files are used automaticly along with the IMG if necesary. You don't need to mount them but you should not delete tehm. No, but you can convert one set of CCD/CUE/SUB/IMG into one ISO. This would however be counterproductive.

Would you mind explaining how it is arrogant to appeal to a self-existant, universal law that is above everybody, but it is not arrogant to claim the right to create your own "sense of justice"? Certainly. Because by appealing to a supposed universal law you are claiming to be right. By creating your own sense of justice you do no such thing, you are instead claiming to be of an opinion. For example, belief in a Universal Law would allow for the following expression: "I am right. This is not my opinion, this is the unalterable truth". Surely you can see how that would appear arrogant, mm? Universal Right is extremely dangerous, because it allows people to do horrible things and justify it. Subjective Justice allows people to do horrible things aswell, but never to justify it.

Morals were there when we were born, it is as simple as that. You do not ask when your leg just suddenly appear, you ask when and how Humans appeared. As such, it makes perfect sense that morals are a part of us at birth and have always been a part of us at birth, for as long as mankind has existed. With modifications over the ages, certainly. So when and how where Humanity created? That is a question that neither you, nor I, can answer. We can make guesses without any proof whatsoever, but we cannot know. My theory on Creation isn't particularily relevant for this discussion, so I see no reason to go into detail. So to answer your question, they both came simultaneously. Your theory does not in any way prove the existance of a divine being, it only illustrates a belief and backs it up with "truth untill the opposite has been proved". Once again, this is what religion is about. Once again, I will claim to see no point in discussing it further, as we might just aswell discuss if God is true or not. The debate would be identical.

Your very argument is based around the existance of a pre-defined right and wrong. Atheism (though some atheists might, for reasons they will have to explain themselves) does not support the supposed existance of this "divine morality". When you are born, you are very near a blank slate. Over the years, you *will* grow into an adult Human, and you will look highly similar to the rest of us. The way you move around, the way you speak and the way you interact with the world will be similar to other members of your species. Considering your mind will grow aswell in this manner, it is logical to assume your thoughts will be similar. Add the fact that you are raised in a society where a set of morals are already in place, and it becomes obvious that you will soon accept these morals as your own. Does that mean there is truly objective justice? I do not believe this, and I think you will find that very few atheists do aswell. Does this mean I cannot use the expression "He deserved it"? No. Because as I have already stated, I do not believe in objective justice. Since that leaves only subjective justice, I will refer to that instead. Instead of actually believing (which is very arrogant I might add) that there is some sort of divine rule that makes me righteous, I create my own sense of justice and hope that it will be similar to the morals of others. And since you can refer to subjective justice, "I did a good thing" makes a lot of sense, because in the person who speaks it's mind, it will indeed be a good thing. There are of course other versions of this, such as believing that justice is decisions which the majority would agree on, and hence base it on the opinion of a mass instead of the opinion of one, but the principle is identical. How one can expect flawed philosophy to be proof of a divine being is completely beyond me. While we can debate if objective justice is real or not for all of eternity, the short version is that there is no proof whatsoever of the existance of a universal moral law. Nor is there any proof against it. That leaves us at the same point as always, with two conflicting points of view. Either refusing to believe something there is no proof of, or insisting on believing it untill the non-existance is proven. Once we're at that point agan, the theory becomes rather uninteresting.

Like most Swedes, I can speak Swedish aswell as understand Norwegian and Danish. I am also fluent in English, and to a degree German as well. I'm currently working on learning some basic Latin and Greek.
-
Point taken, though I'm of the opinion that it doesn't make the point I was trying to make any less valid.
-
And according to that theory, the only reason you care for others is because you believe a god wants you to. You know, somehow I feel that says more about you as a Christian than it does about me as an Atheist. I am also going to add that Sweden is one of the most Atheistic nations on the planet, and yet also one of the nations with the lowest crime rates. Since you seem to be fond of strange generalizations, let's simply conclude that religion makes people violent.

I respect the ideal but I despise the idol.

Kontrollpanelen > Ljud och ljudenheter > Ljud (Assuming you have Windows XP Swedish) Check which device Midi-playback uses. Mine uses the default Microsoft one, so you might want to switch to that if your's doesn't work. Then press Volume and check if any of the tabs are set to zero or very low.

Iron Maiden, and I'd recomend the "Brave New World" album. Hammerfall, and I'd recomend the "Legacy of Kings" album. Manowar are good too.

Mozilla Firefox 1.5 Beta 2 & Thunderbird 1.5 Beta 2

Excellent updates. Forward/Back is significantly faster and you can now re-organize tabs. There are problably quite a few other features aswell, but those are the most noteworthy ones. -
I'd run a memory test first to rule out that kind of hardware error. http://www.memtest86.com/

I'm a devoted follower of the Creative Muvo TXFM 512MB cult. Good battery life and all the features one might require, including an FM radio.

Why do people spend hundreds of dollars on a gadget and then put thousands of ridiculously low quality songs on it? Quality > Quantity, any day. Interesting gadget though, if I didn't have an MP3 player already I'd definitely consider it. I still believe the Ipod Shuffle is the lamest concept ever, but this one does indeed look like a step in the right direction.

EDIT: nevermind, it's a corrupted harddrive block.
Pyro replied to insane's topic in Tech and Computers
Minor amounts of corruption in Cylinders/Sectors are fairly common and I can't say I've ever heard of it making a harddrive unuseable. Seems strange IMO :/ You could always try removing the partition and creating a new one to install Windows on, this would remove all your files however. -
The problem with game ideas is that in most cases it has either been done before, or has been thought of before and discarded. What you are suggesting is basically a mix of SWG and Eve, with added focus on customizing vehicles. Being able to make customize parts of the experience is central to gameplay, so it is safe to assume that particular concept has been thought of many times by various companies. Why hasn't it been introduced? Probably because it simply isn't worth it. To allow the player to "build" vehicles in detail requires enormous amounts of work, and when you develop a game you cannot simply add all features that sounds cool. You have to prioritize, and this is done by choosing the features which provide the most fun for the least work. Every hour spent making this and that minor part replaceable is one hour less spent doing something else, such as balancing the combat system. Most people have a few ideas about games they think would be cool, but more often than not they are simply not do-able considering the limited time developers have to produce games. If you had twenty volunteers and several years to spare, you could probably make a very detailed game. However, by that time it would probably be technically obselete.

I find it strange that people are so fascinated by comparing the specifications when the vast majority will be unable to use resolutions higher than 800x600 in any case due to monitor (TV) limits. "Look mom, I can have 400 FPS now instead of 300!"

It is extremely unlikely that a small file that is many months old will be recoverable, no matter what software you use. I'm sorry.

Are you sure your laptop really uses that type of memory?
