Some Iraq photos you'll never see in the news. (Neat-0)

For all we know these images could be false and that which is said in the media is correct. Or the other way around. It's better to just realize we don't really know anything and sulk. -
Use DBPowerAmp for everything related to conversion and ripping. It pwns, especially with the FLAC codec installed.

If the scratch is so bad that some data is unreadable I very much doubt you can "repair" it in any way. Stay away from the toothpaste in any case.

I don't mind Satanism, it's just another religion. What I can't stand are the morons who call themselves Satanists simply because they think it sounds cool. Yes, I'mn convinced a large majority of the people who refer to themselves as Satanists belong in that group.

I watched it on TV, and it was cool indeed. I wasn't that much of a fan of the setlist though, but the performance was awesome.

If the 9800Pro with 256 mb ram is cheaper than the ordinary Geforce 6600, then yes. I would suggest a Geforce 6600GT when looking at cards in the near price range though, but it depends on how cheap they are from the store you're looking at. SLI doesn't work like that, it doesn't render half the screen per card because the workload would be unbalanced. It also isn't worth it at all. You can get a 6800GT for the price of two 6600GT's, and that will still be a better card.

Upgrading laptop components is difficult, especially graphics cards and processors. Graphics cards can be of different sizes and use different bus-standards, so you'll need one that is compatible with your computer. I would not recomend upgrading it at all to be honest, since the risk of fairly high of getting components that for one reason or another do not fit.

Locked, not techy enough.

There are however more theories in this world than Christianity or Atheism. For all you know the particular God which is real could consider the worship of other gods the worst sin of them all, and punish you for it. It's far from as black and white as you seem to think. To think that there is any logic in belief or disbelief is to fool oneself, you can only feel and guess. I would also hardly consider living your life a lie to be 'nothing'.

Customized Gateway keyboard with the letters removed, and a Logitech MX510.

It does affect you almost as much as it affects us. Software patents makes it harder to develop software for small companies which results in less quality software for everyone to use, no matter where you live.

Fragmentation has nothing to do with time elapsed, it has to do with the amount of data erased/written. It doesn't hurt though. There are several programs that defragment in real-time, but I don't know of any that are free.

I saw something called "Das Keyboard" a few weeks ago, and basically it was a keyboard without any letters on the keys. It costed so 80 US dollars or something though, so I didn't particularly feel like buying it. But then I figured it wouldn't be so hard to make one myself, so I dug up at an old keyboard in the cellar. I forgot to take a pic of it before I'd started working on it, but still. It's not the greatest keyboard ever, but it gets the job done. So after several hours of sandpapering: So, why? Well, for starters, it ensures that I don't look at the letters when I'm typing which is a great way to practice to further improve typing speed. Secondly, it means no one can watch and remember keystrokes to get my passwords. A bit of paranoia never hur anyone :) If anyone else has any spare keyboards, I'd definitely recomend trying this. It also means that the chance of an average noob using your computer is lowered :D

That's a pretty broad topic, which isn't really interesting enough to type a lot about. The short version of it is that using eternal torment as a punnishment for a different opinion isn't my idea of divine wisdom. Then there's the whole free will concept, which doesn't explain why God felt he had the right to kill everything that lives on Earth (excluding the visitors of a certain boat we all know of) because they were of another opinion (The opinion of refusing to worship and/or believe at all). The reason it's not a very interesting topic is fairly simple. There's no way I can ever convince you that the God you believe in is evil, and there's no way you can convince me that he isn't. Odds are you've heard just as many anti-Christian arguments as I've heard pro-Christian arguments, and I think that's enough. In the end it is simply a matter of interpretation, belief, and opinion. Mine is that God does not have the rights the Christian faith believes he has.

In my opinion, this is a very simple matter. There can be only one answer. Let's get some obvious things out of the way first... - There is no reason to believe that Gay marriages will increase the amount of homosexuals. - Because of the above, the spreading of STD's will not be affected. - Neither will there be any lesser amount of children born. So the law doesn't have any effect and is pointless? Yeah, I guess. After all, the homosexuals do have the same rights as us, they can marry others of the other gender aswell! Because of this, we should ban Christianity and close all churches. This would not mean they have less rights than any other of us, because they could visit the place of worship for another religion as much as they want just like we can! An idiotic conclusion? Yes, I agree. Gay marriages will have ONE, I repeat, ONE, effect. It will make people happy. You see, they are not asking you to support their way of life. They aren't asking you to go to their weddings. In fact, they aren't asking you for anything else than equal rights. People will have whatever relationships with other adults that they wish, and there is nothing you can do about that. You can keep on convincing yourself that you need to vote against equal rights for homosexuals because it is unnatural, but you're not really fooling anyone else than yourself. You're voting for your prejudices and your arrogance. There are many of you who have religious reasons to want to avoid homosexuality like the plague. That's cool, I doubt anyone will hate you over that. If you feel that your church should not host gay weddings, that's totally okay. But does it end there? Some of you seem to think it is your God-given duty to judge others. Something is a Sin? So what, let that be between God and the sinners themselves, it's none of your concern. Your beliefs are your concern, those of others are not. I'm telling you, they don't want your opinion on their sins, they want equal rights. I respect people who live their lives based on religion, because I know that can be tough. I do however have no respect whatsoever for those who enforce those religious beliefs on others. My conclusion is therefore that the only negative aspect of homosexual marriages is that it will be a mild annoyance to many people, whom it does not really concern at all. The positive aspect is that it means equal rights, and makes a lot of people happy. And yes, I think that matters quite a lot. There is no doubt in my mind that the world would be a better place if people stopped judging others. There is no doubt in my mind that the world would be a better place if people cared more about the wellbeing of other people than about the regulations they live by. There is no doubt in my mind that the world would be a better place without prejudices and hate. It is quite possible that there are those of you who have legit reasons for wanting to vote against this type of marriage. It is also possible that many of you still feel you are entitled to vote against your fellow man for the sole sake of forcing others to live by your moral code. If the latter applies to you, it is my opinion that you do not deserve the priviledge of living in a modern enlightened democracy. You know what? Banning Stem cell reasearch, that I can understand. I can't agree, but I can understand. Banning abortion? I understand the reasoning, even while I do not agree. But homosexual marriages? Whether homosexual marriages are introduced or not will not affect me, nor anyone I know. Yet I care enough about the rights of others to type this post. Can you say the same?

No. An Atheist believes there is no god, just like a Christian believes there is a god. Being certain requires proof, and none of us have proof at this time. Agnostic means you feel that you have no idea either way, you can still be an Atheist without being dead sure about the nonexistance of a supernatural being. As for what I would think... It depends on which god I guess. In general I'd be pretty pissed off. If god was anything like the Christian faiths describe him, that'd be pretty terrible, I guess I'd consider him humanitys biggest enemy so far. I do not however think for a second that there is any supernatural being.

Motherboard: http://uk.asus.com/products4.aspx?l1=3& ... odelmenu=1 CPU: Any AMD64 processor that uses socket 939, preferably with a Venice core (90nm) Grahpics card: http://shop.ati.com/product.asp?sku=2599078 (Radeon X800XL, PCI-E) -OR- http://www.nvidia.com/page/geforce_6600.html (Geforce 6600GT, PCI-E) Memory: Any Kingston 512MB (x2) These would be my recomendations. Obviously there are a lot of other great products on the market, but these are the ones I recomend based on benchmarks, features and reviews. -

@ the first one, since I don't particularly like the Pentium 4 platform: You are using Socket 754, which is an abandoned standard. Use Socket 939 instead. You will need to change motherboard and CPU to do this. You are using AGP, which is an old standard. Use PCI-X instead. You will need a need motherboard and graphics card to do this. Get ordinary PC3200 RAM, anything above that is next to pointless on the AMD64 platform. The graphics card is outdated. I bought that one 2 years ago, and it wasn't exactly top of the line back then either. I aslso don't particularly like buying PSU's that haven't got the brand listed. -
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ I think the filter you want is called "amplify", but my memory my be playing tricks on me. Audacity does have a feature for increasing the volume though.

No. It wasn't all that great. It was decent, but the only reason people are all on about it is nostalgia. The story isn't very interesting, and a new Final Fantasy game would be a lot more interesting than a remake.

As Draconus said the Devs haven't made a manual, but for those in need of How-To-Play instructions I've created this page: http://cm.grunditz.net/index.php?page=3 Obviously, it's not an official document or anything, but it might help someone.

This game is awesome. Everyone needs to try it ASAP. EDIT: For the record, I'm not being paid to say that :P

Not if you don't defragment ;) You already mentioned defragging, pyro, so i didnt want to repeat what was already said. True true, but it deserves to be said again. Most people defragment once or twice per year at most, if at all. If you add up the total extra time needed for various tasks due to this all over the world and calculate the power useage for that time extra time which the computers will need to be on I bet we could close a nuclear power plant :P Okay, maybe not. Still, the effect fragmentation has on transfer and search rates is enormous and that can't be said too many times.
-
That doesn't speed anything up, it just saves you space. ;) More space = pc can find things quicker = faster pc ;) Not if you don't defragment ;)

Check for and remove spyware/malware. Remove pointless proccesses/services that Windows runs. If you're running an AMD64, use a memory divider and increase your FSB. Read up on this before trying though. Remove programs from startup that you do not use. Defragment, it makes a ton of difference.
