Speaking of Metal, Swedish Television will be showing the Iron Maiden concert in Gothenburg this summer live! :) Since they'll be showing it here, I would be very suprised if other channels around the globe weren't presented with similar oppurtunities. Just a heads up in case anyone didn't know about it yet.

I've never cried either, and I can't say I've really gotten sad during a movie either. Well, except for Star Wars I, but that's because it was lamer than I expected :(

Seconded. If you don't take the time to better yourself through higher education then you have only yourself to blame for the lack of job security. It's easy to say that those without proper education have themselves to blame, but let's face it: There aren't no way near enough "high-ed" jobs in the western world to keep even half the people working. The lack of jobs will soon be a major problem in the western world, of this there can be no doubt. But of course, attempting to force companies to stay in one country is impossible and ridiculous. If Chinese workers do it just as well for half the pay, why shouldn't they be able to do it? It will obviously have negative consequences for the American economy, but beyond that I fail to see how it will "not have good results". The average Chinese citizen earns a LOT less than the average American, is it really so bad to even it out just a bit?

Cell > 3.2Ghz processor I wasn't informed of any benchmarks being released? In any case, some sites seem to claim the Xbox 360 uses three CPU cores each running at 3.2ghz. Whether this would outdo the Cell, which is also a multicore processor, isn't something that can be told by statistics. As we all know the hertz means very little when determining actual power.

Just a quick note for those of you who haven't noticed so far.

Why we want (and should have) our jpg images back.

Locking this since the filetype in question has been uncensored. -
Most likely you will get an extremely slow graphics card, and thus the computer probably won't run many games at all. Make sure you know exactly what you're getting before you buy a cheap computer.

I thought that was South Korea? Not trying to sound patronisey or anything but they were the ones invaded during the Korean War weren't they? Yes, South Korea was the defending country during the Korean War. However, even though South Korea is threatened by North Korea, North Korea is threatened by other countries. The Grand Moronmeister himself (You know, that president guy we all love) probably wouldn't mind invading them, and hence I don't see why we should limit how they can defend themselves.
-
North Korea should be allowed to possess Nuclear weaponry. The country faces a very real threat from invasion, and hence should have a right to defend itself as it sees necesary. Whether North Korea should have the system it does today or not is another matter entirely.

Beyond breaking into her account, which wouldn't be that hard to accomplish, I can't think of another solution. Obviously we cannot allow posts about how to crack WinXP accounts on these boards however, so in that case you'll have to look elsewhere.

Unless you do intend have a use for the additional RAM, I would get a better graphics card.
-
Because it wouldn't have any effect. The reason they are doing this is to catch those making money from selling pirated Microsoft software. It would be fairly pointless to do this in countries were more pirated software than legal software is sold, because it would cost more than it's worth.

Normally I'd sign it, but they might get the idea that I'm either christian or a decent human being.

I'm pretty sure it's made up. Well, either that or the supposed hacker is just pretending. Not even the newbiest script kiddie could ever manage to delete his own drive :?

Like Rease said, there is no direct performance gain. If the programs you are using don't need more than 1024mB, no furhter amounts will help. You might be able to use 2048mB if you use programs like Photoshop and 3D Studio Max with extremely large and draining projects. But usually, more RAM than 1024mB is pointless.
-
It doesn't work like that. Making up stories about programs designed to provide an easy way of creating backups is fairly pointless, don't you think? Due to the way DVD-Shrink is designed it will have considerably less video quality of its copies compared to more complex methods. No supposed plugins or "special versions" will change that.
-
Normally it is impossible to create a 1:1 copy of a DVD-movie on a singelayer DVD-R. Purely because they are usually quite a bit bigger in terms of filesize. Hence you need a program to shrink it with. There are several ways to get a lot better quality than with DVD-Shrink when doing this, but there is no way that is nearly as simple to learn.

Yes, people around the world should buy products from countries were the poor are forced to work for minimal wages. It's not right, but not buying only makes it worse.

The most practical solution is to use IE for Runescape, and FF for all your other browsing.

Personally I thought it was cheesy and lame. I almost fell asleep after half, but that's probably just me.

To have any kind of secure harddrive, you will need to encrypt it. For example, use TrueCrypt. http://truecrypt.sourceforge.net/
-
Good quality? As opposed to what? Seriously, when it comes to DVD-R copies, it doesn't get much worse than DVD-Shrink. It's another one of those programs that is designed to be easy to use and learn. It gets the job done, but if you intend to copy DVD's there are far better ways. However, the main reason I didn't suggest it was because it created DVD-copies, he wanted .avi's ;)

Aww, did you have to let everyone know I don't like hippies...

Indeed, use the program called The Gimp. http://www.gimp.org/ Also, I have removed your avatar. I own the image in question and I don't recall allowing you to use it.

http://www.doom9.org/autogk.htm Note that circumventing copyprotections may not be legal in your country. I can't be bothered researching in how many countries this is illegal in though, so I'll just leave it at that. In any case, it can hardly be considered immoral. Also note that this is the simplest way to make a decent DVD-rip. You will not get the same quality as some movies you may have acquired now and then, but then again, it won't take you several weeks to learn. I would suggest copying the movie to another DVD instead. You will lose some quality this way aswell, but no way near as much.
