From the old new archive, the announcement of the forthcoming p2p release. Notice the underlined words where Andrew clearly calls players "people who helped us beta-test." When I was playing we all called it beta. Anyone else who says different has no idea what they are talking about.

They never cost 50 gp. Even during the time of the drops a lot of people never got any as they were not online so noobs sold them crackers or phats but not for 50 gp.

From the old news archive. :P Perhaps you simply weren't too involved in the community in 2001 so you weren't aware of it, but if Tip It still had their old forum archives lol I could pull up many, many threads where people complained that Andrew was being tricky by making an addicting game for people to beta test for free then releasing members.

Autoers can never be defeated. No matter what Jagex does, they will return. A lot of autoers say regular (i.e. non-cheating) players need to get a life but actually they are the ones who spend a lot of time thinking up new ways to cheat.

I don't do quests because I don't like them. Why do things you don't like? RS is supposed to be fun and I don't find it fun to go all over RS walking sloooooooooooooooooooooowly once your prayer is drained to fetch items for NPCs so that you can get a lot of useless so-called "rewards."

Noobiness has nothing to do with skill or combat levels. Noobs are annoying players who know nothing about gameplay. :P Once you can go around RS without asking for info, begging for free stuff and pestering high levels then you can stop being a noob, regardless of what level you are. P.S. Don't ask level 124's what their str level is.

A lot of people seem to go to monastery with rares on, they seem to think they will be safe since it is only level 1 or 2 but sometimes they die. :P What you posted was a type of lure/scam.

Very true. I agree 100% with the first post. Instead of adding quests, which are mostly nothing more tha fetching items for NPC's, I wish Jagex would work to improve the game by improving the ways to catch cheaters, work on customer support and have big updates rather than 10000000000 little ones.
